Never would have expected a Bronya 3.0 after Sparkle... They really dropped the ball on him, imo not giving up a unique mechanic. Like those little guys that float around him acting as his servant would have been really cool, making them debuff the target, buffing servants, doing damage like Robin, or just something fun and cool. Hes obviously going to be super meta and a necessity for summon teams because of the summon advance, but a bummer, hes just action advance and big buff.
i am curious if shes a superbreak support or break support for boothill, cause her buffs are mostly single target and only improves superbreak teams as a whole when run sustainless with ruan mei and hmc but then if you have lingsha might still be a net neutral. For boothill whose more of a break hypercarry, she seems perfect now boosting his dmg and adding luxury team stats and dmg. Its much easier to replace a hmc or lingsha in a boothill team for fugue than in a superbreak team
I think moving his skill power to base from requiring summon units would make him a bit better for general use. The crit dmg value is definitely getting buff because the scaling does feel a bit weak. Especially coming from his sister, his buffing kinda feels a bit underwhelming. Though, his niche for summons is very very strong. And we have seen Robin being used in other teams, even in hypercarry teams like Acheron. As long you can manage her energy well which we plenty of options.
Insta pull for my JingYuan. But if Sunday's LC remains largely unchanged you could slap this on an E1 Bronya and with a little rng luck she's permanently SP neutral. Trigger rng turn 1, proc LC turn 2, and repeat. Run Bronya amd Sunday together with his LC on both amd boom, a near SP neutral 100% AV wombo combo.
According to the subreddit, only Sunday can use his LC if you're planning for Servants meta and/or JY buff. Bronya probably can use it but not to the same extent as Sunday.

People keep saying that "hoyo releases harmony first" when it only happened with ruan mei... Ratio topaz existed before robin. Feixiao was only an upgrade to ratio. DHIL existed before sparkle... Acheron existed before JQ(her nihility equivalent for a harmony unit)...

This is true, but acheron and sparkle were one-off thing's while ruan mei, robin, and topaz buff a whole archetype of damage. Jiaoqio's main damage dealer is acheron, and sparkle was meant for Dhil. On the other hand, ruan mei buffs boothill, firefly, rappa, dot comps, and even himeko and herta during PF. Same with Robin buffing jade, feixiao, ratio and topaz, yunli, and some even use her for lingsha. Theres a difference to hoyo releasing a dedicated support for an archetype and them releasing a dedicated support for a character. Also, I forgot one of your points, Ratio Topaz was a "thing" sure... but it wasn't complete, topaz isnt a harmony character but even if you say that she is the main amplifier ratio needs she was released before ratio!!! and finally hopefully you can realize why they'd release the dedicated damage dealer before the dedicated support, because if they released the dedicated support for the character first who would they help? they wouldn't be known for anything significant and would simply be another amplifier for teams. but since they release the damage dealers before hand people see how power ful those damage dealers are, and once they see the dedicated support they would pull for them as well. Here it as simple as this: Ruan Mei is for Break teams and is mostly required by them, Robin is for FUA teams and is mostly required by them. On the other hand Jiaoqiu is for Acheron but he isn't nescesarilly required by her Sparkle is for Dhil (count in qq) but she isn't nescesarilly required by him.
I'm expecting a buff on his er buff and a rework on his eidolons. The 20% er buff on one target feels extemely underwhelming, likewise his eidolons are shockingly bad apart from e6
yes, e6 tingyun gives 60 energy, he should at least fully fill the ally energy bar, and have a talent that allow allies to overcap on energy like yunli, afterall hes a limited single target unit, his energy regen should be more than houhou or tinyun
@@juan.arguetathat would be absurd, he provides significantly more buffs than tingyun, a full energy bar would be way too much. He does need more though, maybe 40-50% energy. Alternatively, they could make him give 20% energy every one of his turns for 60% total, that would be interesting(reduces the issue of overcapping energy and lets him get his buffs up before the ally ults unlike tingyun)
Someone just made a 10 LL attack in 1 cycle. Sunday made a previously 20 stack LL turn into 85 stack LL with speedtuning and proper team setup (+ Bronya Robin).
So basically he's E6 Bronya with summon advance and some CR instead of a follow up attack. I guess the sp economy is more predictable too (but the same on average). Not that E6 Bronya is bad but somehow I was expecting something more exciting. Well I'll keep my eyes open but I'm not holding my breath for a total kit overhaul, he might be the first limited Harmony I skip.
He certainly strong but I think he needs a little bit more Buffs comparing him to Robin and Ruan mei they can buff the entire team. He can only buff one person. He just needs a little bit more In my opinion (Still strong and a must pull though)

In most if not all hoyo games the characters that come the patch before the next major expansion, are always "future" proof in some way or form. Ratio and Mei foreshadowed the FUA and Break Meta, Emile foreshadowed the importance of pyro and burning, etc Sunday is pretty much a "better sparkle" for now, untill we get more units that synerize with summons in general, then he will truly shine once the summon meta is in full swing. But for now, he seems to be good, only really OP if you are a Jingyuan/Topaz main that are heavily invested in. Like always pull fr who you want, not because for meta, the star jade economy is already in shambles, with him and fugue in the smae patch and 3.x coming right after(wich will have a meta defining character if they keep following their habits)
Hey iSUMMON if you see this comment, and you've seen the comment that tried to disprove hoyo releasing harmony first, just know that they're wrong, and that I hope you knew that before I told you. Don't believe them, because you're right, I've had the same theory on what HSR does for a long time now. Aside from this, im really glad you released this video because for the life of me, I couldnt calculate sundays rotations, this was genuinely a helpful video and cemented it in more for me to pull on sunday. Maybe in a week or two you could also post a video showing us how valuable his current eidolons are? Maybe after a version or two just to see if they'll be reworked or not.
ngl I happen to have Bronya LC and another copy I got at lvl 0, so I could potentially give him Bronya LC at s2 if anything just to increase a bit more the dmg% buff. Excited for the summon new meta, sounds funs. He is going to be like Ruan Mei in a sense that she was good on other teams, but really shines a lot a on break teams, and Sunday will be that for summon.

There’s no way they lower it, since that’s one of the main draws of his lc. But s1 bronya lc with err planar is a decent alternative, allowing 1st turn ult and 3 turn ults assuming you get hit once.
Thanks for the video! I decided not to pull for Sunday, my teams right now are Acheron, Feixiao, and Firefly, and Sunday doesn't really bring anything for these teams. When we get the new broken Summon DPS in 3.X, I'll probably save for him as well and make that my 4th team, but right now I'll probably grab Aventurine, Fugue, and maybe some Acheron eidolons if I'm lucky! Depends, honestly. Unless you're willing to spend money, it'a going to very difficult to pull for Sunday on his next rerun since hsr seems to have a thing for running biS supports with their dps and vice versa.
@@Yumeivka I'll probably save everything up after Fugue, with 3 strong teams and at least 5 other chars for some mix and matching if needed, I won't really need to pull on much during 3.0-3.2, hopefully the BiS dps for Sunday won't come that soon, so I should have enough to get both by the time he re-runs.

Something I think you misunderstood by mistake about his energy, for first turn moc you're accidentally counting 5 energy from ult refund for the FIRST ult and I'm 99% sure that energy regen does not affect the lightcone bonus energy the same way it does not affect for example qpq. you start with 50% so 65 + 25 from trace + 6 from lc + (30 x 1.194) = 131 energy. Just enough for Turn 1 ult. After first turn its 3 turn ults with 24(4 lc procs) + (95 [3 skill+ult refund] x 1.194) = 137. Or 131 if we dont count 6 lc energy from using ult You're accidentally counting the 25 trace energy after the first ult but it's only when you enter battle that it applies. tl;dr with his lightcone + energy rope you have perfect first turn ult and 100% consistent 3 turn ult afterwards without overshooting too much on energy
The top table is starting the fight outside of moc and stuff (usually not relevant) so thats why I have the 25 energy. But i see what youre saying for the future I will make the Moc table include the subsequent 3 turns that way there is no misunderstanding. Thank you!
His light cone gives the wearer energy, so it should be multiplied by err, like cogs/motp/tutorial. The only lc which doesn’t get multiplied by err is qpq since it gives energy to allies. This doesn’t change your calcs since you always run err rope on him anyways. The rest of your analysis is correct, but extra calcs for without his lc: S1 Bronya lc + err + 5% err planar: 134.4% err, 65+25+30*1.344 = 130.3 for turn 1 ult S3 Bronya lc + err + 5% err planar: 95(3 skill + ult refund)*1.384 = 131.48 for 3 turn ult without getting hit. And some extra breakpoints for getting hit: 10 energy hit: 65+25+30+10 = 130 -> 0 err for first turn ult 130/(95+10) = 1.238 -> 23.8% err needed for 3 turn ult. Achievable with ER rope + ER planar or bronya lc or cogs(gives 8 energy when hit) 5 energy hit: (130-65-25)/35 = 1.143 -> ER rope is enough for first turn ult 130/(95+5) = 1.3 -> 30% err needed for 3 turn ult. Achievable with cogs/s1 bronya lc+ err rope + err planar S1 bronya lc is usually going to be his second BiS, to no one’s surprise, and meets basically all of his er requirements.
@@georgezhang1573 does the intital 50% from MoC get affected by err? I think your math is also just way off, 65+30+25 multiplied by 1.344 would get you 161.28. The actual calculation would be 55 x 1.344 + 65 = 138.92, assuming the intital 50% is unaffected by err and the 25 from trace is affected.

Love the video but I think you forgot to put the 20 crit dmg + 25 cd for follow up attackers for Robin on your list of what the supports provide (and 50% aa for sparkle). Also, I'm pretty sure Robin is SP neutral/positive because if you skill at the beginning of the battle, and then once her ult runs out in the second wave in MoC or whatever, she most likely won't use her skill ever again. Just saying because you put the SP neutral for Sunday aswell, even though he starts being negative after turn 3.
His skillset is just "Bronya for summon DPS" Like, I get it but I was kind of expecting something more unique. Edit: I already replied to one person about this but I should probably make it clear here; I DO think Sunday being able to enable and make use of summoners is unique from a gameplay perspective, but what I wanted to see was a new support "mechanic" like his rumored energy overcap or Fugue's Exo-toughness. His skillset right now honestly just works the same way as Bronya's, but has extra buffs for summoned units, hence my original comment.
he is a better bronya from what I've seen, since he doesnt consume skill points for his first 2 actions, and because newer summon dps will be just better than the old ones. No matter how great a support may be, if it has noone to buff, or the one it buffs is just worse, it is absolutely useless to have (unless waifu over meta but that's kinda obvious, we are talking pure meta brainrot rn). Look at sparkle... So yeah, sparkle and bronya stocks are through the floor with this one
@@thatalbeeguy I don't really have a problem with his numbers. I just think his skillset is really... basic, if that's the right word? I was expecting a new mechanic like Fugue's built in exo-toughness, or his previously speculated energy overcap enabling. I think it's absolutely fine that he buffs summoners though, that's unique gameplay-wise. I guess I was just expecting something different other than him being a standard buffer, if that makes sense.
They already copy a lot of Kits at this point. Also summons will be the next break...so we only get summon based units in 3.X so he is the core of that team. Stale meta in HSR will continue.
Sunday is definitely made to be played like hyper bronya with over 160 speed to sell his lightcone, his lightcone basically makes you have 0 sp issues and perma ult uptime.

I'm not getting him to 160 speed most of my harmony units have 125 that's as good as there gonna get I'm not stressing myself over getting the right sub stats while trying to roll speed on practically everything when this games rng for relic farming is completely horrible

Well it looks like he will be indispensable for summon meta which is coming in 3.0 both hypercarry and potential (Dot summon)😉 which might be coming soon after a couple patches into 3.0. Nobody wants to pull a Dps they like and see that the best support for that dps they skipped and now have to wait 4 months😅.
He just needs more energy regen from ult and maybe a bigger buff for ult since it’s like single target and almost compares to huo huos party wide ult, and I think he’ll be pretty fine, maybe a little faster too, I never get speed roles….
maybe they will change to energy overcap and give something more spicy but still can't wait to pair him with Clara I got some insane crit dmg rolls on Duran but can use them because I'll run low on crit rate and that 20% crit could literally make my Clara fly

Not sure if it was mentioned but you forgot sparkle 50% action advance. I personaly still use her a lot for my feixiao/jade/sparkle/robin team (sweet 100% defence ingnore). As for sunday, he seems strong but ez skip for me. Will go all in on Fugue though.
I'm still skeptical remembering what hoyo do to sparkle. We have many team comps that works the same if not better than hypercarry now. I don't know what kind of gimmick they have to brought hypercarry summon back.
summoners have servants. Sunday's skill will actually advance 2 units: the summoner+their servant. i bet the Fate collab will have masters+servants in 1 unit like Rin+Emiya or Shiro+Artoria
His Lightcone gives a 45% dmg boost to the target when using his skill compared to bronya's 30%, also bronya's lc only allows her ult to regenerate skill points while sunday's lc allows both his skill and ult to regenerate a skill point every 2 instances they are used. Also also, sunday is helped more by the 6 energy the sig lightcone gives than the energy regen rate from the bronya lc because parts of his kit aren't really affected by the energy regen rate while 6 energy is always useful. Plus he can always just use an ERR Rope and a planar set that boosts ERR. All in all sunday's light cone is like a 80% better version than bronyas

Idk why people is saying Robin is not good for summons wtfff, Robin with Lignsha, Topaz and Mid Yuan is crazy, and Fugue is Crazy with Lingsha with these chrctrs to, Sunday looks like the first harmony character that is mid bcz by now he is just another Bronya, and even if he doubles the Fat collab charactersdamage, that will mean that the Fat collab characters will have only these two posibilities, thwy dont need him but is BIS anyways, or they will be mid without it comparing it to having it and not having it in the team, so the only must pulls are Fugue and Robin in the actual meta until the next harmony, but the best combo will be Ruan Mei and Fugue unti a Robins harmony duo, and even with that, Fugue being better than Robin, so, even if Sunfay is in the Topaz launch situation, without team and after months getting a whole team, he Probably will not being as important as the other harmony and Fugue, he is not even better than Bronya with Boothill, so he will be restrictive Even with that good luk to all the people that is pulling for him and readed this comment
Sounds like someone is going through a mental breakdown because Robin doesn't suffice the next archetype. The easiest way for you to conceptualize the difference Sunday brings to the table for Summon DPS in comparison to Robin and Ruan Mei is using Jing Yuan with these and then Sunday. Not only that, U can run Sunday AND RM/Robin with him but without him; it's omega cooked bud. Not exactly sure why people like you try to come up with workarounds when a new unit comes out to justify your reasoning for not grabbing it. Just don't, reruns exist take it easy and breathe.
Why do you think Fate collab will be the only units that will utilize Sunday’s kit? Future characters have been leaked that will have Servants as part of their kit. Moreover, Sunday is technically the only unit who could buff both Master and Servant. Additionally, he is the only character who can advance forward Servants, which makes a strong support. Although, I agree his kit needs some improvement, which he will definitely get considering this is only his beta.

Isn't the energy overcapping because of the 25? I usually don't include it because it only triggers once. Without the 25, iirc er rope and er rope + 5% er from planar without the sig can't allow Sunday to get a 3-turn ult consistently. With ER Rope + 5% Planar + Bronya S1, he gets 120.96 which is 10 energy short still (well technically 5 since ult gives back 5 energy everytime you cast it) Unless Sunday is always getting hit, his LC just guarantees a 3 turn ult and maybe can even allow him to ult within 2 turns if he gets hit enough xd
Just want to point out that he is 5-6 energy short of a 4 turn ult without sig or without external help like getting hit, huohuo, or shared feelings/qpq. He cannot have 100% reliable uptime on ult unless you swipe for sig.
Never encourage FOMO. If units turn out to be OP, get them on the rerun. Ruan Mei was rerun with Firefly. Robin was rerun with Feixiao. Pull if you want the character right now, not because someone told you its a good investment.
I don't regret skipping Sparkle at all. But yeah, Robin is perfect for my account and she's really great. Ruan Mei was great, but since my Acheron is not E2 I only need Robin.
I do not consider Robin any better from Ruan Mei. In those teams where I can use Ruan Mei, I cannot always just use Robin. She is practically only great in the Feixiao team.
You missed 6 energy in your calcs, the LC gives energy when you ult too, so starting combat with only ult refund means you also got the 6 energy from LC Which makes it a 2 turn rotation: (5+6+25+30+6+30+6)*1.244=134 energy
I was hoping he can at least make jingliu shine again but with his 2 turn buff duration i guess it's impossible since jingliu adv forward will just eat his buff way too fast and ended up nit getting any buff during her enhance state
I get that like this is to bait people into engagement and channel views, but with like characters you really should wait until V3. Some units have had drastic changes like around that time.
Realistically this is to let people know how the kit works. Generally characters dont change how their kit works, what changes is values but the general idea of their kit design usually remains unchanged.

Do whichever you think you need more. Do you need what is essentially a Bronya replacement? Do you want to try out summons later? Ask these or similar questions when deciding.

F2P ? i would look at it this way : you already have 2 strong teams with Acheron & Firefly + Ruan Mei. if you do not have a Summon based DPS, then picking up Sunday on release is kind of useless with your Bronya E0 moreover, Sunday will rerun and i am ready to bet that his rerun will be when an actual Summon DPS will appear (like the RuanMei/Firefly and Robin/Feixiao combo) so, i would not rush over Sunday for now. on the other hand, this is already Acheron 1st rerun BUT is Acheron E2 really that much worth it ? only you can answer this, i can only give my perspective : if you do not have Kafka+BlackSwan, i would save for Jiaoqiu instead : he is the one unit that really unlocks her potential, otherwise she is kind of like Jingliu with too much downtime. Going for an E2 is paying the price of two E0 : Sunday + his future best DPS for example (or even cheaper Jiaoqiu + S1)

I have bronya ruan Mei and sparkle, so I’m not sure if summoning on him will be worth it. I’ll eventually have to see his kit updates to determine whether I’ll pull for him or fugue when the video drops for her kit
I already put jingyuan in the coffin, so i'll skip sunday for now as i have no immediate use for him. (The only valid reason for me to pull sunday right now is just to reunite my poor little robin with his brother)
How is not being able to 2 turn ult on a 3 turn buff disapointing for sunday? It means he doesnt need his sig or er planar set to 3 turn ult, opening up his build for planar sets that buff his allies and making him f2p weapon friendly. That is great news and not at all disapointing. Im very glad you are excellent with number crunching. You do great stuff, but sometimes your takes are just... bad.
I hate seeing energy go to waste. As a DHIL main this is one of my pet peeves. The problem isnt when he ults, for me its the wasting of the energy that irks me.

But on a character that's only supposed to get his buff up every 3 turns anyways, going for 2 turn or being slightly over on energy does not matter at all. It's kool that you read comments. It's funny to me that since Jing Yuan needs to stack up his Lightning Lord, he might actually NOT work very well Sunday and remain Mid-Yuan. Aside from that, I don't know, he seems fine but basically all his power is focused on Summon characters, and right now that means only Jing Yuan, since both Topaz and Lingsha are supports who help the team, not the primary damage dealers that you want to a waste a support buffing up... His future will be interesting, but at the moment his kit feels vey 'out of place'.
Well that's one way to slow down power creep. If he was completely different, people would still complain coz powercreep keeps getting worse. I mean look at yunli, she's clearly a clara reskin but still out performs clara so much. Sparkle probably is the only bronya reskin that really did not provide that much difference aside being used in dhil teams

@@tornado2308 I did not say he's bad. The point is he's just a modernized bronya. And by doing that, they can slow down powercreep from rising too much. Had they introduced a new buffing mechanic again. As they did with Ruan Mei, powercreep will just skyrocket again.

I made it my own personal rule to never ever skip limited harmony. That rule is the sole reason for why I never got walled by any content even with old ass dps and/or ones that aren't too favored by certain meta.
If we looks back at v2, we have had FuA and Break plus Acheron playstyles I hope "on-field summons" will be a thing come v3 but more importantly that it will not be the only new "meta" gameplay : variety is what keeps the game going ! Much more than Stats inflation or HP bags enemies...
I'm a bit confused by the energy regen section. I can't tell if you're calculating how fast it takes him to get ult at the start of battle, or how fast his energy regeneration during the fight is. His trace only takes effect at the start of battle, but since every character starts with 50% energy, you should have included an additional 65 energy to the calclations. Unless you were calculating his average energy generation in which case the trace shouldn't be taken into account. Edit: Also neither Bronya nor Sunday can be SP neutral in a skill spamming playstyle. They might not consume SP on certain turns but they never regenerate the SP they do use, making them always negative, albeit less.

It seems extremely difficult to keep the 10 stacks on Jing Yuan in my head. I have had him since release and mine is id say pretty great. Guaranteed crits with over 300 crit dmg bc Sparkle. I still cant 0 cycle. Im a terrible player ig.

Never would have expected a Bronya 3.0 after Sparkle... They really dropped the ball on him, imo not giving up a unique mechanic. Like those little guys that float around him acting as his servant would have been really cool, making them debuff the target, buffing servants, doing damage like Robin, or just something fun and cool. Hes obviously going to be super meta and a necessity for summon teams because of the summon advance, but a bummer, hes just action advance and big buff.

i am curious if shes a superbreak support or break support for boothill, cause her buffs are mostly single target and only improves superbreak teams as a whole when run sustainless with ruan mei and hmc but then if you have lingsha might still be a net neutral. For boothill whose more of a break hypercarry, she seems perfect now boosting his dmg and adding luxury team stats and dmg. Its much easier to replace a hmc or lingsha in a boothill team for fugue than in a superbreak team

I think moving his skill power to base from requiring summon units would make him a bit better for general use. The crit dmg value is definitely getting buff because the scaling does feel a bit weak.
Especially coming from his sister, his buffing kinda feels a bit underwhelming. Though, his niche for summons is very very strong. And we have seen Robin being used in other teams, even in hypercarry teams like Acheron. As long you can manage her energy well which we plenty of options.

Insta pull for my JingYuan. But if Sunday's LC remains largely unchanged you could slap this on an E1 Bronya and with a little rng luck she's permanently SP neutral. Trigger rng turn 1, proc LC turn 2, and repeat. Run Bronya amd Sunday together with his LC on both amd boom, a near SP neutral 100% AV wombo combo.
According to the subreddit, only Sunday can use his LC if you're planning for Servants meta and/or JY buff. Bronya probably can use it but not to the same extent as Sunday.

People keep saying that "hoyo releases harmony first" when it only happened with ruan mei... Ratio topaz existed before robin. Feixiao was only an upgrade to ratio. DHIL existed before sparkle... Acheron existed before JQ(her nihility equivalent for a harmony unit)...

This is true, but acheron and sparkle were one-off thing's while ruan mei, robin, and topaz buff a whole archetype of damage.
Jiaoqio's main damage dealer is acheron, and sparkle was meant for Dhil.
On the other hand, ruan mei buffs boothill, firefly, rappa, dot comps, and even himeko and herta during PF.
Same with Robin buffing jade, feixiao, ratio and topaz, yunli, and some even use her for lingsha.
Theres a difference to hoyo releasing a dedicated support for an archetype and them releasing a dedicated support for a character.
Also, I forgot one of your points, Ratio Topaz was a "thing" sure... but it wasn't complete, topaz isnt a harmony character but even if you say that she is the main amplifier ratio needs she was released before ratio!!!
and finally hopefully you can realize why they'd release the dedicated damage dealer before the dedicated support, because if they released the dedicated support for the character first who would they help? they wouldn't be known for anything significant and would simply be another amplifier for teams. but since they release the damage dealers before hand people see how power ful those damage dealers are, and once they see the dedicated support they would pull for them as well.
Here it as simple as this:
Ruan Mei is for Break teams and is mostly required by them,
Robin is for FUA teams and is mostly required by them.
On the other hand
Jiaoqiu is for Acheron but he isn't nescesarilly required by her
Sparkle is for Dhil (count in qq) but she isn't nescesarilly required by him.

I'm expecting a buff on his er buff and a rework on his eidolons. The 20% er buff on one target feels extemely underwhelming, likewise his eidolons are shockingly bad apart from e6
yes, e6 tingyun gives 60 energy, he should at least fully fill the ally energy bar, and have a talent that allow allies to overcap on energy like yunli, afterall hes a limited single target unit, his energy regen should be more than houhou or tinyun

@@juan.arguetathat would be absurd, he provides significantly more buffs than tingyun, a full energy bar would be way too much. He does need more though, maybe 40-50% energy. Alternatively, they could make him give 20% energy every one of his turns for 60% total, that would be interesting(reduces the issue of overcapping energy and lets him get his buffs up before the ally ults unlike tingyun)
Someone just made a 10 LL attack in 1 cycle. Sunday made a previously 20 stack LL turn into 85 stack LL with speedtuning and proper team setup (+ Bronya Robin).
So basically he's E6 Bronya with summon advance and some CR instead of a follow up attack. I guess the sp economy is more predictable too (but the same on average). Not that E6 Bronya is bad but somehow I was expecting something more exciting. Well I'll keep my eyes open but I'm not holding my breath for a total kit overhaul, he might be the first limited Harmony I skip.

In most if not all hoyo games the characters that come the patch before the next major expansion, are always "future" proof in some way or form.
Ratio and Mei foreshadowed the FUA and Break Meta, Emile foreshadowed the importance of pyro and burning, etc
Sunday is pretty much a "better sparkle" for now, untill we get more units that synerize with summons in general, then he will truly shine once the summon meta is in full swing.
But for now, he seems to be good, only really OP if you are a Jingyuan/Topaz main that are heavily invested in.
Like always pull fr who you want, not because for meta, the star jade economy is already in shambles, with him and fugue in the smae patch and 3.x coming right after(wich will have a meta defining character if they keep following their habits)

Don't believe them, because you're right, I've had the same theory on what HSR does for a long time now.
Aside from this, im really glad you released this video because for the life of me, I couldnt calculate sundays rotations, this was genuinely a helpful video and cemented it in more for me to pull on sunday. Maybe in a week or two you could also post a video showing us how valuable his current eidolons are? Maybe after a version or two just to see if they'll be reworked or not.

ngl I happen to have Bronya LC and another copy I got at lvl 0, so I could potentially give him Bronya LC at s2 if anything just to increase a bit more the dmg% buff. Excited for the summon new meta, sounds funs. He is going to be like Ruan Mei in a sense that she was good on other teams, but really shines a lot a on break teams, and Sunday will be that for summon.

There’s no way they lower it, since that’s one of the main draws of his lc. But s1 bronya lc with err planar is a decent alternative, allowing 1st turn ult and 3 turn ults assuming you get hit once.
Thanks for the video! I decided not to pull for Sunday, my teams right now are Acheron, Feixiao, and Firefly, and Sunday doesn't really bring anything for these teams. When we get the new broken Summon DPS in 3.X, I'll probably save for him as well and make that my 4th team, but right now I'll probably grab Aventurine, Fugue, and maybe some Acheron eidolons if I'm lucky!

Depends, honestly. Unless you're willing to spend money, it'a going to very difficult to pull for Sunday on his next rerun since hsr seems to have a thing for running biS supports with their dps and vice versa.

Something I think you misunderstood by mistake about his energy, for first turn moc you're accidentally counting 5 energy from ult refund
for the FIRST ult and I'm 99% sure that energy regen does not affect the lightcone bonus energy the same way it does not affect for example qpq.
you start with 50% so 65 + 25 from trace + 6 from lc + (30 x 1.194) = 131 energy. Just enough for Turn 1 ult.
After first turn its 3 turn ults with 24(4 lc procs) + (95 [3 skill+ult refund] x 1.194) = 137. Or 131 if we dont count 6 lc energy from using ult
You're accidentally counting the 25 trace energy after the first ult but it's only when you enter battle that it applies.
tl;dr with his lightcone + energy rope you have perfect first turn ult and 100% consistent 3 turn ult afterwards without overshooting too much on energy
The top table is starting the fight outside of moc and stuff (usually not relevant) so thats why I have the 25 energy. But i see what youre saying for the future I will make the Moc table include the subsequent 3 turns that way there is no misunderstanding. Thank you!

His light cone gives the wearer energy, so it should be multiplied by err, like cogs/motp/tutorial. The only lc which doesn’t get multiplied by err is qpq since it gives energy to allies. This doesn’t change your calcs since you always run err rope on him anyways. The rest of your analysis is correct, but extra calcs for without his lc:
S1 Bronya lc + err + 5% err planar: 134.4% err, 65+25+30*1.344 = 130.3 for turn 1 ult
S3 Bronya lc + err + 5% err planar: 95(3 skill + ult refund)*1.384 = 131.48 for 3 turn ult without getting hit.
And some extra breakpoints for getting hit:
10 energy hit:
65+25+30+10 = 130 -> 0 err for first turn ult
130/(95+10) = 1.238 -> 23.8% err needed for 3 turn ult. Achievable with ER rope + ER planar or bronya lc or cogs(gives 8 energy when hit)
5 energy hit:
(130-65-25)/35 = 1.143 -> ER rope is enough for first turn ult
130/(95+5) = 1.3 -> 30% err needed for 3 turn ult. Achievable with cogs/s1 bronya lc+ err rope + err planar
S1 bronya lc is usually going to be his second BiS, to no one’s surprise, and meets basically all of his er requirements.

I think your math is also just way off, 65+30+25 multiplied by 1.344 would get you 161.28.
The actual calculation would be 55 x 1.344 + 65 = 138.92, assuming the intital 50% is unaffected by err and the 25 from trace is affected.

Love the video but I think you forgot to put the 20 crit dmg + 25 cd for follow up attackers for Robin on your list of what the supports provide (and 50% aa for sparkle).
Also, I'm pretty sure Robin is SP neutral/positive because if you skill at the beginning of the battle, and then once her ult runs out in the second wave in MoC or whatever, she most likely won't use her skill ever again.
Just saying because you put the SP neutral for Sunday aswell, even though he starts being negative after turn 3.

he is a better bronya from what I've seen, since he doesnt consume skill points for his first 2 actions, and because newer summon dps will be just better than the old ones. No matter how great a support may be, if it has noone to buff, or the one it buffs is just worse, it is absolutely useless to have (unless waifu over meta but that's kinda obvious, we are talking pure meta brainrot rn). Look at sparkle... So yeah, sparkle and bronya stocks are through the floor with this one

They already copy a lot of Kits at this point. Also summons will be the next break...so we only get summon based units in 3.X so he is the core of that team. Stale meta in HSR will continue.

Sunday is definitely made to be played like hyper bronya with over 160 speed to sell his lightcone, his lightcone basically makes you have 0 sp issues and perma ult uptime.

Well it looks like he will be indispensable for summon meta which is coming in 3.0 both hypercarry and potential (Dot summon)😉 which might be coming soon after a couple patches into 3.0. His energy ult needs buffs (Tingyun gives more and Huohuo is teamwide). He needs another traces and the cleanse should be built in on Skill.
Not sure if it was mentioned but you forgot sparkle 50% action advance. I personaly still use her a lot for my feixiao/jade/sparkle/robin team (sweet 100% defence ingnore).
As for sunday, he seems strong but ez skip for me. Will go all in on Fugue though.

His Lightcone gives a 45% dmg boost to the target when using his skill compared to bronya's 30%, also bronya's lc only allows her ult to regenerate skill points while sunday's lc allows both his skill and ult to regenerate a skill point every 2 instances they are used.
Also also, sunday is helped more by the 6 energy the sig lightcone gives than the energy regen rate from the bronya lc because parts of his kit aren't really affected by the energy regen rate while 6 energy is always useful. Plus he can always just use an ERR Rope and a planar set that boosts ERR.
All in all sunday's light cone is like a 80% better version than bronyas

Idk why people is saying Robin is not good for summons wtfff, Robin with Lignsha, Topaz and Mid Yuan is crazy, and Fugue is Crazy with Lingsha with these chrctrs to, Sunday looks like the first harmony character that is mid bcz by now he is just another Bronya, and even if he doubles the Fat collab charactersdamage, that will mean that the Fat collab characters will have only these two posibilities, thwy dont need him but is BIS anyways, or they will be mid without it comparing it to having it and not having it in the team, so the only must pulls are Fugue and Robin in the actual meta until the next harmony, but the best combo will be Ruan Mei and Fugue unti a Robins harmony duo, and even with that, Fugue being better than Robin, so, even if Sunfay is in the Topaz launch situation, without team and after months getting a whole team, he Probably will not being as important as the other harmony and Fugue, he is not even better than Bronya with Boothill, so he will be restrictive

Sounds like someone is going through a mental breakdown because Robin doesn't suffice the next archetype. The easiest way for you to conceptualize the difference Sunday brings to the table for Summon DPS in comparison to Robin and Ruan Mei is using Jing Yuan with these and then Sunday. Not only that, U can run Sunday AND RM/Robin with him but without him; it's omega cooked bud. Not exactly sure why people like you try to come up with workarounds when a new unit comes out to justify your reasoning for not grabbing it. Just don't, reruns exist take it easy and breathe.
Why do you think Fate collab will be the only units that will utilize Sunday’s kit?
Future characters have been leaked that will have Servants as part of their kit. Moreover, Sunday is technically the only unit who could buff both Master and Servant. Additionally, he is the only character who can advance forward Servants, which makes a strong support.
Although, I agree his kit needs some improvement, which he will definitely get considering this is only his beta.

Isn't the energy overcapping because of the 25? I usually don't include it because it only triggers once.
Without the 25, iirc er rope and er rope + 5% er from planar without the sig can't allow Sunday to get a 3-turn ult consistently.
With ER Rope + 5% Planar + Bronya S1, he gets 120.96 which is 10 energy short still (well technically 5 since ult gives back 5 energy everytime you cast it)
Unless Sunday is always getting hit, his LC just guarantees a 3 turn ult and maybe can even allow him to ult within 2 turns if he gets hit enough xd
He gets the ult consistently every 3 turns which is great but It feels bad seeing the energy overcap. Irks me 😅
Just want to point out that he is 5-6 energy short of a 4 turn ult without sig or without external help like getting hit, huohuo, or shared feelings/qpq. He cannot have 100% reliable uptime on ult unless you swipe for sig.
Never skip a harmony character in this game
Also dont skip a charachter that does not have energy in the ult
Never encourage FOMO. If units turn out to be OP, get them on the rerun.
Ruan Mei was rerun with Firefly. Robin was rerun with Feixiao.
Pull if you want the character right now, not because someone told you its a good investment.

I don't regret skipping Sparkle at all. But yeah, Robin is perfect for my account and she's really great. Ruan Mei was great, but since my Acheron is not E2 I only need Robin.
I do not consider Robin any better from Ruan Mei. In those teams where I can use Ruan Mei, I cannot always just use Robin. She is practically only great in the Feixiao team.

You missed 6 energy in your calcs, the LC gives energy when you ult too, so starting combat with only ult refund means you also got the 6 energy from LC
Which makes it a 2 turn rotation:
(5+6+25+30+6+30+6)*1.244=134 energy
I was hoping he can at least make jingliu shine again but with his 2 turn buff duration i guess it's impossible since jingliu adv forward will just eat his buff way too fast and ended up nit getting any buff during her enhance state

I get that like this is to bait people into engagement and channel views, but with like characters you really should wait until V3. Some units have had drastic changes like around that time.
Realistically this is to let people know how the kit works. Generally characters dont change how their kit works, what changes is values but the general idea of their kit design usually remains unchanged.
they probably wouldn't change his overall role anyway. they might change his numbers a lot tho. that ult energy regen is very low, for example.

Do whichever you think you need more. Do you need what is essentially a Bronya replacement? Do you want to try out summons later? Ask these or similar questions when deciding.
You can skip him, right now he is good but you can pull him in his re-run where his value will be very high with 3.x characters
I dont recommend skipping Hatmonies but if you want e2 Fugue, then prepare to catch him on the rerun cause the summon meta will be crazy

i would look at it this way : you already have 2 strong teams with Acheron & Firefly + Ruan Mei.
if you do not have a Summon based DPS, then picking up Sunday on release is kind of useless with your Bronya E0
moreover, Sunday will rerun and i am ready to bet that his rerun will be when an actual Summon DPS will appear (like the RuanMei/Firefly and Robin/Feixiao combo)
so, i would not rush over Sunday for now.
on the other hand, this is already Acheron 1st rerun
BUT is Acheron E2 really that much worth it ? only you can answer this, i can only give my perspective :
if you do not have Kafka+BlackSwan, i would save for Jiaoqiu instead : he is the one unit that really unlocks her potential, otherwise she is kind of like Jingliu with too much downtime.
Going for an E2 is paying the price of two E0 : Sunday + his future best DPS for example (or even cheaper Jiaoqiu + S1)

I have bronya ruan Mei and sparkle, so I’m not sure if summoning on him will be worth it. I’ll eventually have to see his kit updates to determine whether I’ll pull for him or fugue when the video drops for her kit

I already put jingyuan in the coffin, so i'll skip sunday for now as i have no immediate use for him. (The only valid reason for me to pull sunday right now is just to reunite my poor little robin with his brother)
How is not being able to 2 turn ult on a 3 turn buff disapointing for sunday? It means he doesnt need his sig or er planar set to 3 turn ult, opening up his build for planar sets that buff his allies and making him f2p weapon friendly. That is great news and not at all disapointing.

I hate seeing energy go to waste. As a DHIL main this is one of my pet peeves. The problem isnt when he ults, for me its the wasting of the energy that irks me.
@@iSUMMONYT I'd understand if it was a dps like DHI. That makes perfect sense. But on a character that's only supposed to get his buff up every 3 turns anyways, going for 2 turn or being slightly over on energy does not matter at all.

It's funny to me that since Jing Yuan needs to stack up his Lightning Lord, he might actually NOT work very well Sunday and remain Mid-Yuan.
Aside from that, I don't know, he seems fine but basically all his power is focused on Summon characters, and right now that means only Jing Yuan, since both Topaz and Lingsha are supports who help the team, not the primary damage dealers that you want to a waste a support buffing up... His future will be interesting, but at the moment his kit feels vey 'out of place'.

He;s being tailor made for the rumoured "Summon" meta in 3.0. I am disappointed that he's basically a 1:1 ripoff of Bronya, seems kind of lazy.

Well that's one way to slow down power creep. If he was completely different, people would still complain coz powercreep keeps getting worse. I mean look at yunli, she's clearly a clara reskin but still out performs clara so much. Sparkle probably is the only bronya reskin that really did not provide that much difference aside being used in dhil teams

example with Fugue is that while she is a rather passive char, Exo toughness genuinely changes the way u play with chars like boothill choosing when and how to break enemies and overall a whole new mechanic is just more enticing than a perfected version of Bronya
@@tornado2308 I did not say he's bad. The point is he's just a modernized bronya. And by doing that, they can slow down powercreep from rising too much. Had they introduced a new buffing mechanic again. As they did with Ruan Mei, powercreep will just skyrocket again.

I made it my own personal rule to never ever skip limited harmony.
That rule is the sole reason for why I never got walled by any content even with old ass dps and/or ones that aren't too favored by certain meta.
Its a great rule that I also follow

I hope "on-field summons" will be a thing come v3 but more importantly that it will not be the only new "meta" gameplay : variety is what keeps the game going !

I'm a bit confused by the energy regen section. I can't tell if you're calculating how fast it takes him to get ult at the start of battle, or how fast his energy regeneration during the fight is.
His trace only takes effect at the start of battle, but since every character starts with 50% energy, you should have included an additional 65 energy to the calclations.
Unless you were calculating his average energy generation in which case the trace shouldn't be taken into account.
Edit: Also neither Bronya nor Sunday can be SP neutral in a skill spamming playstyle. They might not consume SP on certain turns but they never regenerate the SP they do use, making them always negative, albeit less.

Same for the team, i plan to play him with JY E0S1, Sparkle E0S1 and Lingsha E0S0 can this be a good team ? Sparkle AA on Sunday followed by Sunday AA on JY can be a good combo but need a good Spd management for that
