@@ThePaoReturn I don’t mean anime dating sims I mean games like To The Moon or Before Your Eyes or Lisa the painful or Omori, I loved tuning into FFXIV’s MSQ and so did a ton of other people, so other story-based experiences should be fun content.

It wasn't long ago that I was seeing comments like "Asmon's not a weeb, he wouldn't play any of that Japanese shit, cope weebs" from certain kinds of mmo players.

tried this game out a while back and actually found it really entertaining since as someone who went down in the vtuber rabbit hole on the height of the pandemic a lot of the things shown are actually imaginable, both how the chat interacts with Kangel and how Ame acts as well. The multiple endings that you get depending on how you treat her is a good touch, it gives you a incentive to do multiple playthroughs.

...this game is actually a meta game. There is a thread on the Steam's forum page that generally explains it. It is very well written product, big brain... but it doesn't seem more like rando trash at first look. Way more complicated than it appears.

I started to watch streamers from vtubers in Japan, then I was introduced to Twitch by some western vtubers. I found Zach's stream really interesting as well bc his sincerity and good commentary. So it really strikes me when I went into his channel seeing he playing "a vtuber thing" while the whole gameplay was absolutely funny lol.
I love how at the thirty minute mark Asmon actually seems to start feeling bad but keeps going anyway
This is a great concept. I refer to it as "fly on the wall" RPG format, where the game is so absurd you (the player) is literally like viewing some surreal dimension of nonsense.
