Hello, great bread recipe I make it every second day. I need to know where you got your bread pan from, because yours is higher in the middle and if you make Italian bread chances are that they won't touch in the middle. Amazon doesn't sell one like yours. they're all too short in the middle. By the way, your recipe makes good pizza dough just mix 1 1/2 TBSP of Italian spices with the flour, it adds a good flavour to the dough.
I’ve made this perfect bread recipe. So many times. 😇 Thank You So Much 😊 we always eat at least half the loaf right out of The Oven 😂😂😂 Absolutely Amazing
I have baked thousands and thousands of things over the years, but am always interested in how other people do things. You never know when you might learn a thing or two. I have to say that this is one of the best how-to baking videos on YT. No wasted time, no wasted steps. Very well presented.
Great video! And when the bread becomes dry or hard the next day, just give it a quick rinse under the tap and bake it in the oven for about 10 or 15 minutes. The crust will be crisp and the inside nice and soft again 👍🏻
I wanted a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich tonight, but needed bread. I made this and it turned out PERFECTLY! Exactly 40 minutes bread was 190*F. Let it rest a few minutes, then made my sandwich. Amazing! Thank you!
This video was everything I needed it to be. It was how to make the bread and that's it. There were no add-ons there was no filler. Nothing that quick precise easy steps and oh my gosh so refreshing!!!
OMG...I made this today never did before and it was absolutely 💯 AMAZING 👏 Thank You for your precious Video and easy directions as well. My husband never eats Bread he ate a half a loaf himself and all the end pieces off the 2 Loafs LOL 😆 This is now a #1 hit in our Family Thank You again. 😊
My favorite. I am going to write down the recipe because I have been baking this bread about three years and every time I have to look it up. Thank you for this great recipe.
I used the recipe today with a French bread pan and it was amazing. I put a casserole pan under the bread half full of water. It made the crust extra crispy and it was perfect!!! This is my new recipe; thank you!!!😊
Thank you for sharing the recipe and method! I've just finished taking the breads from the oven, and we couldn't resist eating it after letting it cool for 10 minutes! Warm bread with butter melting into it - what can be more delicious. I've baked these breads specifically for a side-dish at our braai (barbeque the South African version), where I mix butter, garlic flakes, cheddar cheese, feta cheese and dried parsley - we call these types of breads "french loafs" and the side dish "garlic loaf". I then section the bread by almost slicing it through, and smear the mixture on the slices. Then I wrap it in tinfoil and put it on the braai grid over a low heat! A note - I dusted the counter top with flour, and then did the rolling - my bread didn't unravel.
I have a 2 loaf french bread pan, and had a problem with the loaves sticking to the pan. I remedied this by lining the pan with parchment paper. I use the pan for making Cuban bread, but I might try your recipe. It looks really tasty...
I have made bread off and on for many years and I have never got so many compliments as I did with this bread.i think it lasted for a couple of days and if toasted much longer. Very good recipe.
Thank you so much for this amazing video!! I followed the directions exactly and did three batches today to gift to my neighbors. My second batch definitely looks the best!!
Just made this recipe. Came out amazing! I used jalapeno everything bagel seasoning on half a loaf and it was beyond amazing. Will be using your recipe weekly!!
I made this yesterday and it turned out great. I ended up making 3 loafs of bread out of it and I had to use some extra flour while rolling it out. I had never made french bread before this, so thank you for the recipe, the family really enjoyed it.
This is one of the best recipes I have seen...making it right now and will get back with you on its turn out.....thanks stay at home mom as I was back in the 90’s
I just made two loaves of this using the same pan that you use. For the heck of it after I brushed on the egg I also sprinkled on my “everything bagel” mixture and it was awesome, and I do mean awesome! This is definitely a recipe that I will be using frequently! Thank you again.
I wanted to thank you for the recipe. I tried it yesterday and my wife and I have decided that yours is the best bread recipe that we have ever tasted. This will be our go to bread.
I've now made this recipe for two loaves 4 times (using one of the double french loaf pans with holes) and I can say it's the only 'french bread' (American style) recipe that I'm filing away. The family and guests love the loaves - whether just buttered fresh or made into garlic bread with a spread. Thanks!
Thank you for the video. It was very well done. You made everything very easy to follow, and that confidence inspiring. Which translates well into success in the kitchen. I needed this... I don't understand why, but my grocery store bakery makes every white bread the same. It doesn't matter if It's regular white, Italian, or French. All of them taste and feel the same way.
Great job on distinguishing the difference between the 2 styles of bread. I've made baguettes but been craving this market style loaf. Can't wait to try it
I baked this yesterday and OMG it was amazing; I am baking more today to share with my friends. Thank you so much for this amazing recipe never buy the store bought again lol!
But once you go scale, you'll never go back! I've been baking for 40+ years & only recently started using a scale & it's a total game changer!! No more packing brown sugar, just weigh it, flour is 100% accurate when weighed, but jars of yeast & weigh if you need more or less than a packet. I very highly recommend weighing for more accuracy & consistency with recipes.

Its usually only soft for the first day, I worked in a grocery store and some let the bread cool before packaging, and some don't, if they package it hot it will not last as long at home due to how bread works
This recipe is simple and beautiful. I just made your loaf and it is beautiful! Thank you so much for a straightforward and wonderful bread 🥖 Love and Respect
Made this for the first time cut the recipe in half because it’s just my husband and I and it came out perfect thank you thank you thank you for such a great recipe I look forward to more of your recipes.
Excellent recipe. I now follow the recipe but after the first rise I divide the batch into 12 small mini French loaves. This enables me to bake them and now I have 12 loaves that are perfect for my spouse and I. This way we just pop 1 out of the freezer and let it thaw for 1 hour and put it in the oven for 10 minutes on 225o or microwave it for 30 seconds. Just like the loaves at east side Mario’s or Olive Garden…
Hello, I just wanted to say thank you. I am new to cooking and this year have learned a lot from your videos, not just this one. But the perfect steak and also cinnamon rolls, and many more. You explain things that are easy to understand, even for this old cowboy. Anyways thank you for the great videos and the help.

Good simple recipe. I actually let one loaf dry on the counter for about 5 days. It makes excellent herbed breadcrumbs! As good as and way cheaper than Panko.

In the middle of the recipe and just wanted to add a note for anyone having problems. I was careful and started with the 4.5 cups of flour.
