You know, I love to think and ponder and wonder about the size and shape of whatever it is we exist in...I find it all so beautiful, even though that descriptor does not really come close...but the whole thing threatens to break my brain, if I try to hard to pin any specific explanation to even a piece of the mystery everything is, was or will be. I do love listening to you tackle these subjects for us!
Even if the universe expanded like that there must be a place where it started. I think All you would need to do is trace the expansion direction in which space expands
Since the universe started from a point (without actually being a point), would it not make sense that at one time, us and everything in the universe was the center? So in a way we are at the center wherever we are.
@@makalribera6742 How does it not make sense to you? Explain yourself. Edit: The universe is infinitely expanding in every direction. Picture this in your mind, say a star is formed right at the start of the universe. Now where would that star be 13 billion years later (Let us say it survived that long). Where would you say that star is now? In my opinion I would say that star is at the center of the universe. Because space around it is expanding at some finite speed. And all you got for me is "it does not make sense". Deep thought right there.
Not particularly. Before the big bang, there was no universe, and therefore no space. The universe wasn't this infinite black void with a single dot containing all matter; the entire universe was a single point which didn't explode, but instead expanded itself very rapidly much like a balloon. If you imagine the universe as the surface of the balloon, expanding over time, you can see that there is no center. The inside of the balloon represents nothing; no equivalent exists. The surface of the balloon represents space and time. It's impossible to fathom for a human being a place of no space and time. It isn't "nothing" because space didn't exist for there to be "emptiness". In fact, from our point of view, we ARE the center of the universe, because everything is expanding away from us. However, even if Earth existed on the other side of the universe, mathematics would still represent us at the "center" because everything it expanding away from each other. You can imagine the universe almost like a donut, or a taurus, with no center. Time itself is a human conception; without conscious observation, there is no time. Photons do not experience time, they are simultaneously at the beginning, middle, and end (from the particles point of view). I hear often that, since the universe has an "edge" which is constantly growing, shouldn't it be possible to backtrace to a single point? Unfortunately not. The universe is not expanding *into* space, but space and time itself is expanding into nothing. If the universe started ticking in reverse, back to the big bang, matter and time itself would simply condense. They wouldn't become smaller because the matter itself, which makes up space, doesn't change in size; it would defy the laws of physics. However, we know so very little about it all, it's purely theoretics.
Glad to see some activity back this way, I've missed your programming! I'm so done with RUclips constantly highjacking me from your channel though. Where's Jack Daniel!
just a thing here that i realized in myself.. we think of the universe as 2d... when it is infact 3D.. i know this sounds normal like duh why would it not be 3d but it never really clicked that in any direction up down left right there is infinitely expanding universe
Earth, because we see the same distance for far away galaxies in every direction we look. The real center ? Maybe it's not even in the Observable Universe.
If everything is moving away from everything around it faster than the speed of light, would that not remove the possibility of ever travelling to even Mars? It'd be moving away from us at a faster rate than we could ever travel. Right? Or wrong?
«Every part of it instantaneously began repelling from every other part in a mass decentralized explosion» im sorry what?? i might be dumb but i dont understand that sentence
Consider the following: a. Numbers: Modern science does not even know how numbers and certain mathematical constants exist for math to do what math does. (And nobody as of yet has been able to show me how numbers and certain mathematical constants can come from the Standard Model Of Particle Physics). b. Space: Modern science does not even know what 'space' actually is nor how it could actually expand. c. Time: Modern science does not even know what 'time' actually is nor how it could actually vary. d. Gravity: Modern science does not even know what 'gravity' actually is nor how gravity actually does what it appears to do. e. Speed of Light: 'Speed', distance divided by time, distance being two points in space with space between those two points. But yet, here again, modern science does not even know what space and time actually are that makes up 'speed' so how could they truly know even what the speed of light actually is that they utilize in many of the formulas?
Red Shift: Consider the following: a. Current narrative: Space itself is expanding. (Even though science does not fully know yet what 'space' actually is nor how it could actually expand). b. But consider: The net effect of solar winds, particles and energy pushing outward from galaxies, (even modern science claims 'em' has momentum), continuously, over a prolonged period of time, with other galaxies doing the same, with nothing to stop them from doing so, would tend to push galaxies away from each other and even potentially allow the cosmic web to form between galaxies. And then, when we here in our galaxy, look at far away galaxies, with other galaxies in between, the net effect of all those galactic interactions would have galaxies furthest from ours move away faster the further those galaxies were from us, including us perceiving a red shift of energy. c. Now, utilizing the scientific principal of Occam's razor, which way is more probably correct? What the current narrative is ('a' above), or 'b' utilizing known physics?
No, none of those predictions about the center of the universe was false... Because everything is the center of the universe. Literally. I am, you are, the earth, Betelgeuse, Sagittarius A, the black hole at the center of our galaxy...etc etc. Everything is the center of the universe.
Everything said is still theory, humans will never know how big the universe actually is, there was no big bang, the universe has existed forever, my theory on why scientists thing it's a bubble, is because light from the greatest expanse of space has not yet shown itself, and never will in a thousand years of human advancement, that is if humans last that long.
a. Modern science claims energy cannot be created nor destroyed, hence energy is eternally existent. b. An absolute somethingness cannot come from an absolute nothingness, so an absolute somethingness always existed, most probably being energy itself. c. Universe ALWAYS existed in some form and NEVER had a beginning, No Creator Needed. 'a' is true, is it not? 'b' is true, is it not? If 'a' and 'b' are true, then no creator is needed in 'c'.
