Theres new lord of the rings films going into production, so im pretty sure well get lotr sets eventually ! But imma get rivendell day 1 ! Cant wait !!!!
The Lord of the Rings theme needs Battle Packs or a CMF series so collectors can build up their armies without having to spend $25 or more per soldier.
YES IT NEEDS BATTLE PACKS! I hadn’t even thought about that yet, but it would be great! Imagine a battle pack for each “faction,” like one for men, elves, orcs, dwarves, etc.
All of these are great ideas! One I think would be great is a $30-$40 Treebeard set, Treebeard as a buildable figure, include Merry and Pippin who can ride on his shoulders and a single Orc with a small catapult side build for them to fight. Basically similar to an AT-ST set in scale and Minifig count.
If the theme really comes back with more sets, I want to see more smaller dioramas. Most sets should be under $120. Most collectors and fans don't have the money for the crazy huge and expensive sets.
Yeah that’s EXACTLY what I am saying because not EVERYONE is made of money nor has Lego be like “hey you want a set which is 600 and something dollars for free” ok here you go like most people have to BUY them (some people are just TOO entitled)
I'm glad someone share's my opinion I totally agree that we need more affordable sets. I mean I can save up for this set and get it but it will take a loooong time
I agree with these and you could do so much more: 1. The Prancing Pony 2. Lothlorien 3. The Green Dragon Inn 4. Osgiliath 5. Minas Morgul 6. The Grey Havens 7. The Argonath 8. The Paths of the Dead
As great as these ucs type master builder sets would be, I am more interested in smaller army builder sets that they could do because that fits a cheaper most people’s budget.
Right? I think it's a huge problem on Lego's part to say, "The future of this theme depends on how well this $500 set sells." It would make so much more sense if they released something small to test the waters and released enormous sets later based on the small sets' reception.
@@worldtreesagas Defenitely, I am not saying that the rivendell is not a set that shouldn’t be made! It’s an amazing set but the daily bugle is the biggest set I will ever get to rivendell is way out of proportion. It’s unfortunate that people who can’t spend as much as will have to rely on the few who can. It shouldn’t be how much money you have but about how much you love the theme. Just disappointing
I'm so glad LEGO is coming out with new LOTR sets! I missed the opportunity to get the original releases at retail price, so most of them are not in my collection. I'm hoping for a long line of Lord of the Rings in the near future! 😍😍
I wouldn’t mind a Lothlorien, or Amon Hen set. I wonder if the Argonath could be feasible as a set. Other interesting locations include Minas Morgul and Cirith Ungol.
Kinda like how they did half the black gate in their 2012 release, I feel like they could release half of minis tirith. Then if people wanted to buy two and build the symmetrical side they could. I would only want a rivendell-like minifig scale though. Id rather have a non-accurate playable set with sweet minifigs than a microscale
I heard in Solid Brix Studios' review of the LEGO Rivendell set that LEGO most likely Bring back the theme in full IF the Set sells well. So we are going to have to vote with our Wallets.
Yeah... Lego is not holding my interest in Middle Earth for ransom with a $500 set. If they want people to buy them, make affordable sets over collectors items.
I’d love to think large huge sets would be honestly amazing but I feel like so many lego sets are so expensive nowadays where it would be nice if they had cheaper sets too as not all of us can buy 10 500$ sets.
Do Minas Tirith as a $500 dollar set with the top 2 or 3 layers, but have it be in such a way that you could buy two of the sets with instructions on how to convert it into the bottom 2 or 3 layers as well.
The thing I don't like about this list is that almost every set you want is some huge diorama (except Eowyn and Witch King) that would probably cost at least 150$ +. LEGO fans are tired of LEGO releasing tons of absolutely ridiculously expensive sets, even if they are beautiful (which they are obviously). I feel like this company is out of touch with their fans, I know they want to profit even more, because they see that LEGO is getting more recongized than ever before, but c'mon, make this more accessible for not super rich people.
I’m really curious: What’s happening with The Lord of The Rings theme now, could this also happen with Pirates of The Caribbean? I would buy a lot of their sets if the theme ever came back. (Really happy with the return of LOTR already, thanks Lego)
I also think that if the LotR series will be revived, it deserve to be in the D2C/UCS kind of way… most of the locations such as Helms Deep, Minas Tirith, Barad dur, or even Osgiliath or Cirith Ungol, Lorien etc. are big sires and should be done properly as Rivendel. But then there is a space for smaller sets such as minifig packs for army building (Rohirum, Gondor) and smaller events (Shelob vs Frodo/Sam, Balrog, Whitch King, Oliphant… ). This would be best selling sets for sure.
There was a rumor we were to get The Eye of Sauron (Barad-Dûr) sometime this year if not the next. Saying it would come with Sam, Frodo, some Orcs and possibly Gollum (Maybe a Sauron minifigure if I remember correctly) but I'm only taking it with a small grain of salt. I really hope they do make it though. Would be amazing!
It would also be great to get some smaller dioramas from The Hobbit. Things like Riddles in the Dark, The Dwarven Thrown, The Necromancer, or even The unexpected gathering.
I would love to see a Diorama set of the Last Alliance on the cliffs of Mordor. Isildur, Elendil, Elven soldier, Elrond, Arnor Soldier, Orcs, and Sauron.
I know the Eiffel tower is over 10k pieces, but I think as far as themes based on fictional IPs, LOTR really has the potential to break past the 10k piece ceiling for some sets. That's my hope as least, for them to make some truly epic sets worthy of Tolkien's world.
I think Mt. Doom as an 18+ diorama would be sick. The one you showed worked fine. However, I preferred the "cast it into the fire," quote. And you could include all the characters from the 3 tines we see that location. So we could finally get a Sauron figure. Isildur and young Elrond. As well as Frodo, Sam, and Gollum. I know that's a lot of figures for a fairly small set, but a man can dream.
I feel the best way for Lego to do a minifig scale Minas Tirith would be to do a sort of Harry Potter approach where multiple sets could combine into one massive set. You could do outer wall segment sets with an orc battering ram, catapault and mumakil. You can do middle tier wall sets with a nazgul and siege towers. Then you have a top level set with the garden. Make it as big as you want and build both armies as you go!
A recolor and slight remold of the Smaug figure would make an AWESSOME Fell beast! Also I would love to see a proper Balrog :D oh! and we NEED a good Brick built Sauron figure. The one from the game was EPIC :D Please, LEGO, Give Gandalf a better staff piece XD I think it would be HILARIOUS if they made a Denathar Minifigure that you could attatch some sort of back piece that lets you add flames, so Gandalf could say "So passes Denathar..." As he runs by flaming XD
Barad-dur, and Eowyn and the witch king were the very first things that came to mind for me. It’s crazy to me that we haven’t gotten those. “I am no man” is literally perfect for the quote tiles!
I need a line of many sizes of sets, stuff that I could casually pick up in stores not a bunch of $500+ sets. I want the same glut of sets that Harry Potter and Marvel do! And 100% I need battle packs to make Rohirrim and Dwarven armies.
I feel a major thing this revival of the brand needs to do is provide an easy and cheap way to army build, say 5 figure packs with a small build and those weapon baggies. You could do one for Gondor, the Elves, Rohan, the different breeds of orc like Moria, Gundabad, Mordor, Uruk Kai. It would help populate these larger builds in more ways like for a Helms Deep or a Minas Tirith. The dioramas are a great idea for smaller scale scenes, include in them a bunch of wanted characters that you can now easily get, but say for those that don't fit in any planned sets, I think a CMF could do really well. Have some variants of the Fellowship, a Nazgul, some named orcs, maybe cameo some game characters like Talion or Rabag from the Mordor games. It would be a great idea
Thanks for making the videos it helps keep Middle Earth Lego in the minds of the average Lego consumers. I would like to see Lego produce some sets of people and places they haven't done before. Your idea of the dioramas is probably their best bet, so the scale would be proper. Doing Helms Deep, the Tower of Orthanc, would be a waste, it would just a modified facade of the original sets. The new Rivendell set is just a beefed up version of the Council of Elrond set, it is nothing close to an actual complete Rivendell build. There is no way Lego would build anything that large close to scale. The Tower Orthanc would have to be about 12 feet tall, Minas Tirith over 25 feet tall, and Barad dur would be almost 100 feet tall. There are builders making those kinds of mocs way better, Lego needs to just find their lane and make good sets the target audience would want (AFOL's). I have been building an Edoras moc for about 8 years, with 5 large structures, 3 small ones, and the gate that would go around most of it. It will be at least 6 x 6 feet when complete, but I would never expect Lego to do it. Unfortunately Lego is Lazy and they are not designing for the AFOL market, those of us that really want it just build it ourselves. With great designs coming from LegoMocLoc, STEBRICK, and Brickstruct, it can be done with desire, time, and money of course. If you want to see what Lego should have produced for Rivendell, check this out. Just for your future videos, the Witch King is a Nazgul his creature is a Fellbeast, it would make for a great diorama build though. rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-62284/LegoMocLoc/ucs-rivendell-complete-bundle/#details
Prancing Pony , the Argonath, Weathertop , Lothlorien, Minas Tirith, Path of the Dead, Bag End, Bobandils house, Barrow Downs, Barad Dur my list of 10 sets.
I think you maybe go with a playset for the Aowen vs Witch King because the ground is so boring and kids would like the dragon thing the witch king rides.
How about a LEGO Mumakil with Haradrim minifigures? For characters we haven’t gotten as minifigures, I would like to see Eowyn, Faramir, Celeborn, Denethor, Elendil, Isildur, and of course Sauron.
I haven’t bought Lego in 8-10+ years. If The Lord of the Rings sets come back, I will empty my entire bank account and buy every set I can get my hands on. You bet your ass I’m buying this $600 CAD set.
If they are bringing back the lord of the rings theme, A lord of the rings game like skywalker saga would be cool. All six films (including the hobbit ones) one massive world, almost completely explorable. Also for a fast travel method, the eagles would be quite cool. (Similar to the taxis in Skywalker saga.) Although I'm not sure they have the ik to make a game on, since Lego Lord and Lego the hobbit are not being made anymore. Also we need a sauron minifigure, maybe in a barad dur set.
I’m always going to prefer most playsets, but 40$-70$ dollar dioramas in can work with!, I think one figure I want is ( not in the movies ) Tom Bomedell!, he’s one of my favourite characters in the books!
Here's some sets that I want it LEGO releases: - The Battle of Amon Hen, (I want a Minifigure of Lurtz) - The Prancing Pony (with The Nazguls) - The Fangorn Forest, (with more Ents) - The Battle of The Pelennor Fields, (Like The new Rivendel's Set, with a Mumakil, Giant Trolls, War Towers and Grond, that would be awesome) - The War of the Last Alliance (Isildur, Elendil, Young Elrond AND SAURON, WOW, take all my money LEGO.
Couple other ideas: Map art of Middle Earth Bilbo Troll Encounter (no stone- hobbit, stone for LOTR) Council of Elders (Hobbit) Riddle in pool (hobbit) Beorn's Home
Any and all of these sets coming out would make me cream my jeans. I missed out on the first lotr wave and just getting into lego now with Rivendell. Would love to build a whole middle earth table with these.
There are so many ways they could do Minas Tirith 1 - as a microscale model it would do the whole structure justice but it would only be a display piece you wouldn't be able to modify it so well 2- as a kindy of stumpy but nevertheless minifigure scale size model of the whole thing, but it would end up looking like the 2012 Helm's Deep which is fine but they'd really have to skimp out to fit the whole thing. 3- as a sort of 3 in one type model you could make a tower and trebuchet, a wall and siege tower, a plaza and gate, but like all 3 in one sets the pieces would have to be so general that again it wouldn't do it justice 4- (This is what I think they should actually do) bring out 3 separate sets each like the rivendell in scale and accuracy. a- The front gate and Grond b- a section of a town square with homes, towers, a library and a market c- the stewards hall with the white tree courtyard
I want minifigure scale for all Lego sets, even the big ones. I believe a solution to make the bigger sets minifigure scale would be to sell them as modular separate sets, like what they do with the City modular sets. Of course you would need the space to display these huge sets or you can choose to just display one part at a time. I do not like the idea of micro scale for Lego. I would also love to see waves of playable sets at lower cost and battle packs for army building. I have heard of a rumor of a micro scale Barad-Dur with Sauron and a army of orcs coming in 2024. I don't like that it is micro scale but if it has a high minifig count I would get it. After all it is Barad-dur! lol
@@gbrow1604 Lego did this modularity to a lesser degree to the original lotr and hobbit sets. For example the Helm's Deep castle set only came with a small portion of the outer wall but Lego sold a Helm's Deep battle pack set that had a portion of the wall with minifigs. Adding 3-4 of these battle pack sets extended the outer wall and build up your army. It worked really well. Same with the Black Gate set, if you bought 2 of these sets you could put them together to make a bigger more awesome Black Gate. Some complained about having to buy 2 separate sets but I believe it was better because you can buy one and then when more funds became available you could get another one. That's what I did. So Minas Tirith, Lego can make a battle pack set that includes a outer wall build with migfigures to build up your army and you can buy multiples of these to expand the wall ($20-25). Then a Minas Tirith Defense Tower set with figs and a ballista ($30-50) and you could get 2 or more of these to connect to the walls. Then a Minas Tirith Gate set with gate, towers, and maybe battling ram with figs that connects to everything else ($70-100). Then a Minas Tirith inner city/castle set that can be added on ($150-$200). Finally a massive Minas Tirith Citadel and White Tree set to add to the rest coming in at $400-500. These sets can be released over a 2-3 year period. This is what I am thinking but I let the "engineers" at Lego figure out the fine details. Lego can do this with Rivendell still and other major locations in Middle Earth.
@@MrBattlestorm I guess that’s a pretty good ideas for Minas Tirith and some other things. They’d just have to make sure they all worked as individual sets.
A nice small scale set could be Buckleberry ferry - potential for playability and also mounter Nazgul! For Minas Tirith - gate of Minas Tirith and Grond.
I hate to be THAT guy...but the animal that the Witch King rides is called a Fellbeast. Nazgul is actually the name of the Ringwraiths. That being said, I love your ideas for the future sets, especially Edoras & The Shire.
Those ideas are good and hopefully LEGO will turn some of those ideas into real sets, especially Minas Tirith if only Rivendell sells well of course. Also have you considered making missing LEGO Lord of the Rings characters that we never got in their minifigure form just like you did LEGO Star Wars III the Clone Wars and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
I’m with you man, high dollar, high detail sets for this line. LOTR isn’t a children’s series to begin with, so why pander the sets to them. I’d love a nice Witch King or Sauron helmet or bust as well.
I’d like for some smaller sets so they don’t completely obliterate people’s wallets/purses especially because people would still need food and things to drink to survive
Heavily disagree So obviously: 1 - Minas Tirith 2 - Edoras but... 3 - The grey havens and boat 4 - Osgiliath (here you'd have the Nazgul and fellbeast) 5 - Oliphaunt (here you have Eowyn) 6 - Minas Morgul /or/ Cirith Ungol. (each are stunning but thematically they're too alike) 7 - The green dragon inn (with a wee bridge, and a market, and a mill, that'd be so cute) 8 - microscale argonaths (nice office desktop gifts) 9 - Sauron (I'm inclined against Barad Dur because it just looks like a black thorny dildo, but we do need Sauron) 10 - The party tree
personally I'd love to see more minifigure scale stuff with the iconic moments like Eowyn and the Witch-King or the Mouth of Sauron. As you can probably tell I like the minifigures and the really quality designs we got in 2010
I would buy all of these. I have a couple of the small Lord of the Rings sets from the first run, but I would love to be able to add all of these locations to my collection.
These are cool, but there is one problem. All of these are mainly big, which comes at a massive price. This is one way to keep people from buying these sets no matter how nice or how big of a fan of Tolkien you are. We need play sets or smaller sets
This set needs to be well received but it costs basically $500? Not many people are willing to drop $500 on a lego set. I love lotr but the cheaper sets I would buy the shit out of
What sets would you like to see Lord of the Rings get in the future?

In the #3, they could have an ellifont in the background - could be pretty awesome
They better make more, I finished Rivendell today and have spent like an hour just staring at it
8:18 They could make a few defensive posts and maybe even one of those war elephant things along with it.
Ever since I played the level on the game I've always wanted a war elephant set with the Oliphaunts.
Just for your future videos, the Witch King is a Nazgul his creature is a Fellbeast, it would make for a great diorama build though.

yessir keep lego lotr alive
Those are all great! Add on The Battle of Amon Hen, The Argonath, Fangorn Forest & Lothlorien.
I haven’t bought Lego in 8-10+ years. If The Lord of the Rings sets come back, I will empty my entire bank account and buy every set I can get my hands on. You bet your ass I’m buying this $600 CAD set.
I would love to see a bag end set based off the hobbit with Bilbo, Gandalf, and all of the dwarves

I’m always going to prefer most playsets, but 40$-70$ dollar dioramas in can work with!, I think one figure I want is ( not in the movies ) Tom Bomedell!, he’s one of my favourite characters in the books!
you mean bombadil
@@brosisjk3993 yes. It’s a name I misspell a lot🫠.
Unfortunately even the cheapest of these dioramas would be about $90.
Is there gonna be a video talking about your interview with the design team?
Was the interview you mentioned going to come to the channel? Would be interested to see it, thanks!
1:13 they taking the hobbits to isengard - perfect set to make
Here's some sets that I want it LEGO releases:
- The Battle of Amon Hen, (I want a Minifigure of Lurtz)
- The Prancing Pony (with The Nazguls)
- The Fangorn Forest, (with more Ents)
- The Battle of The Pelennor Fields, (Like The new Rivendel's Set, with a Mumakil, Giant Trolls, War Towers and Grond, that would be awesome)
- The War of the Last Alliance (Isildur, Elendil, Young Elrond AND SAURON, WOW, take all my money LEGO.
What about using the avatar legs and arms for a Lego Sauron minifigure? Because of his height.
I would love all 3 DIORAMAS!!! I love all the 18+ dioramas some of my favorite sets!!
Couple other ideas:
Map art of Middle Earth
Bilbo Troll Encounter (no stone- hobbit, stone for LOTR)
Council of Elders (Hobbit)
Riddle in pool (hobbit)
Beorn's Home
I'm still disapointed that we didn't get 20$ or 30$ Nazgul dragon set for people who can't buy the 500$ set
The Nazgûl would cost like $70 or $80 just going off of Jurassic Park prices lol
@@Ashnflash I was thinking more of Ninjago type set not 18+ set
Gondor, oliphant ambush, Barad-dûr, witch king of Angmar vs. Eowyn, battle packs!
A good diorama would be "You bow to no one"
Any and all of these sets coming out would make me cream my jeans. I missed out on the first lotr wave and just getting into lego now with Rivendell. Would love to build a whole middle earth table with these.
Defiantly a new Bag End
There are so many ways they could do Minas Tirith
1 - as a microscale model it would do the whole structure justice but it would only be a display piece you wouldn't be able to modify it so well
2- as a kindy of stumpy but nevertheless minifigure scale size model of the whole thing, but it would end up looking like the 2012 Helm's Deep which is fine but they'd really have to skimp out to fit the whole thing.
3- as a sort of 3 in one type model you could make a tower and trebuchet, a wall and siege tower, a plaza and gate, but like all 3 in one sets the pieces would have to be so general that again it wouldn't do it justice
4- (This is what I think they should actually do) bring out 3 separate sets each like the rivendell in scale and accuracy.
a- The front gate and Grond
b- a section of a town square with homes, towers, a library and a market
c- the stewards hall with the white tree courtyard
After all it is Barad-dur! lol
I don't know what location would work as modular sets.
The shire is a must
I’m with you man, high dollar, high detail sets for this line. LOTR isn’t a children’s series to begin with, so why pander the sets to them. I’d love a nice Witch King or Sauron helmet or bust as well.
For the golden hall, 3 exclusive figures that would be awesome could be Hama, Theoden (sick) and Eowyn in her white dress.
Lego should create a modular castle system, I think that work work for Minas Tirith so well
I’d like for some smaller sets so they don’t completely obliterate people’s wallets/purses especially because people would still need food and things to drink to survive
I think the most needed set would be literally anything minifigure based for less than $100 dollars.
Heavily disagree
So obviously:
1 - Minas Tirith
2 - Edoras
but...
3 - The grey havens and boat
4 - Osgiliath (here you'd have the Nazgul and fellbeast)
5 - Oliphaunt (here you have Eowyn)
6 - Minas Morgul /or/ Cirith Ungol. (each are stunning but thematically they're too alike)
7 - The green dragon inn (with a wee bridge, and a market, and a mill, that'd be so cute)
8 - microscale argonaths (nice office desktop gifts)
9 - Sauron (I'm inclined against Barad Dur because it just looks like a black thorny dildo, but we do need Sauron)
10 - The party tree
do u have any predictions on when or around when will these new sets be released
personally I'd love to see more minifigure scale stuff with the iconic moments like Eowyn and the Witch-King or the Mouth of Sauron. As you can probably tell I like the minifigures and the really quality designs we got in 2010
I would buy all of these. I have a couple of the small Lord of the Rings sets from the first run, but I would love to be able to add all of these locations to my collection.
that number six spot one would be a big seller, and if the price was like a hundred, that would be a big cop for me
These are cool, but there is one problem. All of these are mainly big, which comes at a massive price. This is one way to keep people from buying these sets no matter how nice or how big of a fan of Tolkien you are. We need play sets or smaller sets
Ministerith!!! YES!!!! NO microscale!!
Everyone forgets Merry was also essential in fighting the Witch King
It would be awesome if we got a line of Modular hobbit holes!
8:41 why with eowyn pippin and merry shown on right side of screen.
This set needs to be well received but it costs basically $500? Not many people are willing to drop $500 on a lego set. I love lotr but the cheaper sets I would buy the shit out of
Yes to a continued LOTR theme now. No more Harry Potter it’s had it’s time now we need this.
