I got a Lightning Elite as a gimmick and wow.. great blade. Carried it for over a year before I gave to a buddy on a camping trip that only had an old Walmart knife. He digs it too. Good review man! Im always looking at cali OTFs
Wow. Only $21.99??? I just bought the drop point one for $29.99. They must have had a special a few weeks ago. This will be my first auto, I can’t wait to use it!
I specifically use a 2" knife at work (along with a larger folder) and 2" OTFs are so unsatisfying. The tanto shape hinders it so much more too. In addition for the smaller size a wharncliffe or hawkbill is really best to get maximum usable edge length without a curve, or in the case of the hawkbill, the inside curve allowing it to cut like a larger knife. I've been watching your videos for a while along with doing my own testing and so far I really like the kershaw launch 10, spyderco lil native, and pena micro apache, but those are all a lot more expensive than this and the other cheaper OTFs.
@@CoyoteEDC I was considering ordering one but with the amount of knives on the market now, the poor economy and blade show coming up there have been screaming deals lately. I'm eyeballing a textured reverse tanto runt 5 for 120 BNIB. Should I buy it?
It looks like they worked out the internal gizmo but forgot to style the handle. Anyway, I only collect US knives. Not that I wouldn't want global knives but it keeps a limit for my addiction on what I can buy.
If you look at the full size lightning, it is the same basic shape. They just shrunk it down for this one. So I think no one is surprised or expecting anything different on this knife.

Yeah it was on sale at the time. Still a good deal at $30!
@coyotetrails Is there a lot of blade play?
I mean, there is some, but kind of expected on a budget otf. I didn't think it was an issue.
Not even in California but I kinda like this. Own a few lightnings

The price here is the best part! Even if just for fun

I have the same linus tech tips mouse pad😂
It's great, but not as great as our sponsor LTTSTORE.COM
And yes, you read that in Linus' voice.
Microtech IMO way over-priced.
I'm going to buy one let's be honest, this thing is butt ugly. Surely they could have made that handle more attractive.
