Arguing with Mikan is like kickboxing with a five year old. You'll win but you won't feel good about it.
Plus since Monomi is hanging behind her in certain perspectives it looks like Mikan has quivering rabbit ears which doesn't help lol.

This was my favorite trial, Mikan's disturbing behavior was so unexpected and so well-acted, and it foreshadows the future reveal beautifully.

Damn the writer is really smart. Making it looks like Hajime is doing all the work while Nagito and Chiaki is actually who lead the case from the start to finish
It's mostly Nagito that does it so Hajime can prove his potential and also cuz Nagito doesn't wanna take the credit since he wants everyone's potential and hope to shine through each trial

First two games is where everyone else has no idea what's going on and the only two people that are actually smart are introverts that make you say everything.
I swear if Hiyoko was still there whilst Mikan was emotionally unstable, she would have been scared off.

Also yes, Saionji... sigh the game says she got better but she never stopped bullying Mikan. The franchise also says that she doesn't have bad intentions, but.. it really doesn't show.

I had almost forgotten how good the Japanese voices were since I had been watching so many playthoughs with English voices. While the English versions are great as well, the Japanese voices hold a certain charm to them.

I really enjoyed the voice acting, nagito and the mystery, but mikan deserved a better motive than this.
Comparing V3 and DR 2 Chapter 3 Cases, I freakin love this one. I love how Mikan pulled out all those plans in such a confusing way that even if I am the player, I would be had a hard time solving Hangman's Game, understanding the whole scenario and pissed off that I used my brain cells just to theorized what tf is happening there. As for V3, I can't help but to appreciate Korikyo's way of killing Tenko and Angie, which is surprisingly unboring for me to read the lines as if I was watching a really good movie. That is why Chapter 3 cases are so good with its killers being um.. *mentally unstable* .

man, i love Tsumiki's voice. her struggling, revealing her true emotions and despair identity are so well done. Ai Kayano totally did a good job with voice acting.

The final clue being the camera angle doesn't satisfy me at all... Because everyone in the room knows more or less what hajime saw in the video. He explains what he saw in the beginning of the trial so everyone has a slight idea of how the scene looked... Just because Mikan talked about the camera angle doesn't mean she's the obvious murderer
Edrel Yeah, if anything the fact that only Mikan or one of the Despaired patients could've used the conference room should've been the final clue. I think that makes this case reasonable by default, but it wasn't organized too well. It got too tangential with a lot of its points.
@@purerage7963 Tbh anyone could have snuck in overnight - I had my money on Kazuichi the whole time as he'd built the camera system and has a slim build so could potentially have pulled off pretending to be Ibuki in the video. The camera angle line is what convinced me it was her -- if you haven't seen a video someone is describing you might talk about what condition you think it was shot in - low lighting because candle, low quality because you've seen how rough the quality normally looks - but you wouldn't bring up camera angles unless he'd talked about the angle being unusual. Putting it the other way around, she thinks to mention it because she was specifically aiming for an angle that makes it hard to tell it wasn't Ibuki

This is the most chilling of the trials to me because you can see fully the madness that the Ultimate Despair have through Mikan.
I did most of this trial pretty well. Except I got wrecked at the part at 1:00:00, which was tricky.
I actually knew that I had to shot at the "camera angle" part (because Hinata saw many times that he was the only one who "saw the video" during the trial), but I didn't know with what until I looked up in RUclips that I had to use Chiaki's words to do it.
It sucks when you know what statement is wrong but don't know what to attack it with.

@@loren5432 incredible, so I'm not the only one had that problem with "the camera angle". I tried all of those bullets and no one worked. I was so despaired I watched this video to know what to do because I forget that I was able to use the blue bullets XD
Finally, a japanese dub class trial.
This whole trial went based off a video that one person claimed to have seen, and everybody believed he saw it. 😒
HarmonicDX It was proven that Hajime was not the blackened, as he had not seen the film that the killer had imitated. This was proven by the movie ticket.
Though I have to agree that one person’s hazy memory of a dark video would be not great to rely on.
Though it really was all they had to go on.

I prefer Mikan’s Japanese voice actress here… Mikan’s English actress is definitely adorable sounding, but the cutesy, sociopathic tone Mikan has here when she gets around 1:02:50 just takes the cake. So much better acted by the Japanese actress.
I feel when reading the script, the English actors/actresses should listen to the original audio to get a feel for how the original actors/actresses speak, when recording their own audio.
Though there are a few translations that, sadly, won’t sound the same no matter how you try to make it fit.
Like Leon’s “AHO! AHO! AHO!” In the first game, for the actor to translate it to English is difficult. The best he could go with was “STUPID! STUPID! STUPID!” which was unfortunate, but it was probably the best fit out of a box of bad fits.

The third trial should have gotten better motives to be honest. Easily could have replaced money, despair and incest.
Celeste could have easily manipulated everyone in the courtroom with her lies because no one would know it was a lie. Celeste would have easily succeeded with her plan if she didn't act out of character and hifumi saying her real name. They did celeste dirty honestly in terms of her motive and character. I don't get why they purposely made celeste's chara that way. For mikan and kork, their trials were good but the motives were dumb. Mikan's could have easily been revenge on hiyoko and ibuki could have been the additional victim. Kork, i get it, the whole grooming and stuff, but the incest wasn't necessary. His motive i feel could be improved. Please don't hate on me-
I thrive on the fact that all class trials are longer than 10-30 minutes

I find the minigames kind of annoying. Not fun to watch, and don't look fun to play either. The focus should be more on gathering clues and reasoning using evidence to progress. Maybe they wanted it to feel more like a video game, but that stuff should've been kept to side games to earn tokens or fragments.
On a positive note, the music in the trials is great for both 1 and 2. Always loved the "Select the Killer" music.

I see that they wanted to do something different than other game series, and that in itself isn't bad... but it's a big whiplash when it's all "we're gonna reveal what the killer used to do this dastardly deed... after you play this game of hangman." Maybe it wouldn't be as bad if they were little games that helped put clues together and not things that are already completely obvious by that point. So yeah, I get it, they wanted to be different, but it's not implemented too well.
