- برصغیر کی تقسیم نے درد قبیلے کو سرحد کے دونوں اطراف مختلف علاقوں میں بکھیر دیا، لیکن گُریز کی دور افتادہ وادی میں یہ قبیلہ آج بھی اپنی شینا زبان، ثقافت اور شناخت کی بقا کی جنگ لڑ رہا ہے۔
انڈیا کے زیر انتظام کشمیر میں بسنے والے اس درد قبیلے کا ماننا ہے کہ موسیقی کی کوئی سرحد نہیں ہوتی۔ انٹرنیٹ کی بدولت ان کی موسیقی اب سرحد پار دوسرے درد قبائل تک بھی پہنچ رہی ہے۔

Kashmiris , shina,gilgit ,baltis , kargil and turtuk, kelasha they all are same people and share the same culture and dardic race , thought evolved in different way but over all they all are same in their attire , food , music , folk dances , tradtions , history etc . People of Ajk are not of kashmiri race at all they are gujjars , pahadies and dogras. Their race is different but their motherland is kashmir .. there's a lot of misconception that needs to be untangled as its effecting our history and future .

Dardistan: a perfect blend of different languages, cultures and cuisines. Dards are as a part of Kashmir as any other resident of Kashmir. Kashmir is for all natives of Kashmir: Gujjars, Bakarwals, Dards, Pandits, Pahadis, some Phastos , Kashmiri speakers, Ladakhis, to name a few. Kashmir is the melting-pot of cultures with each culture adding to its diversity while maintaining its own individual identity.The remarkableness of the Kashmir's cultural evolution is that it has never been assertive, boisterous of its majoritarian norms and values. The need of the hour is that individual cultural heritage of all parts of Kashmir's body politik is conserved, promoted and a respectful dialogue is fostered between different cultures.And historical evolution of Kashmir and of its different parts are taught in the school and college curricula. There is a systematic invisibilization of this ancient civilization the origin of which can be traced to Neolithic Site in Burzhoam Srinagar and remanants of Indus Valley Civilisation spread across different parts of undivided Jammu and Kashmir including Gilgit-Batistan.
Dard actually belong to Dardistan that is Gilgit not kashmiri they are negligible in kashmiri although gujar pahari are integral part of kashmiri because they have millions of people here in Kashmir and also look similar to kashmiri
Read Treaty of Amritsar and Treaty of Lahore. And listen to the song, it has Kashmiris words beautifully and indistinguishably mixed with the Sheno. Kashmir is not a racial identity but a geo-philosophical expression with cross border loyalties to its very concept.

Please correct yourself. These are not dard speaking but are shina speaking people. Even kashmiri language is also including in dardic.
