Not bad for a base model. Reasonable price and the car does looking good. Just need more power though
I totally agree with you!
@@RaitisRides yep. It should / may be around 160-190hp at least for this one 🤔
Subscribed! Great job. How would you compare this to the kia forte? Which one carries the higher value? Bang for the buck? Thank you
Thanks Miguel for joining the Raiti's Rides family! You are getting more with the Forte GT.
Hey my brothaaa checking in
The SV isn't the base model, the S is, but half of the SV and SR models on the lots seem to have premium packages, and this doesn't, so it is pretty close to the bottom.
I love the devine styling of the Nissan Maxima but the only downside is that it has a damm CVT!!. I also love the devine styling of the Nissan Murano but again CVT!!. Sentra & others I dont dig um at all.
I hear you man!
@@RaitisRides Thanks Joe, imagine Nissan putting a 8 Speed or something like that in their Vehicles ☠
@@jaypatel7424 Tell me about it!
@@RaitisRides Oh!! 4 sure
They’re not getting rid of it just like Subaru, Kia, Hyundai, Honda, Toyota, etc aren’t getting rid of them. They are here for the long run.
I don't mean to give this safety feature a zonk but the parking emergency rear brake having to turn it off upon entry . The front collision brake is fine
Well equipped but not a fan of a CVT . That one goes for $22🇨🇦 and we have an S model with a 6 Spd Manual !! That one is mid trim level . I’ll keep my 2016 Elantra GT .
Thanks for sharing your input on this one.
Too bad the Canada S model with the manual transmission doesn't come in that blue (only black, white and grey)
Steven R Yeah totally crappy colour selection . And of course your choice in interior colour ... Black !
Nice review. I don’t think the cvt is as bad as everyone is making it out to be. People should consider not blindly follow the moans of motoring journalists and actually try living with one in the real world.
CVTs are horrendous. I have driven one.
I'm at 140k miles (I commute LOL) this car is amazing! 0 problems, I'll I've done so far is oil changes and 1 battery change. Yes my brakes are still going strong 😂
Great review
All those people who've had their CVT fail, I wonder how many did the required transmission fluid changes at the correct intervals?
@@EpicDrew15 I always follow the maintenance schedule in my Honda to a T. If I buy a Nissan, and follow the maintenance schedule do you think I will still have transmission problems? Has it still happened to customers who did follow the required maintenance? Thanks.
@@EpicDrew15 Thank you! I've had my eye on the Maxima, but I think it uses an upgraded CVT since it has 300hp? Not the same one as on the Versa I hope.
Toyota & Honda❤
Why do some people hate the auto start-stop feature that turns off the engine at stoplights, etc? Shouldn't you like it because it saves fuel?
Wear and tear on expensive starter and other components. Also, at long lights, in warm climates, the air conditioning turns off, as well, leaving only the fan.
Nissan Sentra SV base model affordable amazing
You are so very right!
I hear so much negative comments about the CVT . Back in 2012 I drove a rental Altima with a CVT. Not my first choice but the ride was very smooth . I floared it once and never again because I thought I would blow up the engine . Apparently the simulated shifts make the CVT more attractive. When it comes to reliability I don't know. Is it really that bad ? Hands off or hands on ?
It's Nissan CVT is bad. Their several lawsuits that Nissan owners filed because their CVT goes bad after 60k miles. Also Nissan are facing bankruptcy. Google the info.
@@jraheemjefcoat429 I wouldn't want to buy a car where transmission failures are common. I guess Nissan doesn't stand for reliability.
It just isn't a very engaging drive.
