After 10 years and 160k miles, my 2014 Nissan Sentra SR finally gave me transmission problems. Although Nissan is said to have reliability issues, if you maintain your car properly, it should last 150k-200k miles.

I added the Sentra to my test drive list and it is a baby Altima! I went home with a certified 2020 Sentra SV in bright electric blue. Only been a few weeks but it's a car I look forward to driving.

23 years on road with 260,000 miles on my 2002 Sentra is still running very well. Rust has weakened the body, but everything except for the alternator, struts and control arms are original. I just had Missouri safety inspection and was told that car won’t pass next inspection in two years because of the rust weakening the suspension and body mating points. 2002 Sentra GXE has been an amazing car. Hope that new ones are as reliable as the old ones.

Purchased our 15 year old daughter a used Ford Escape 2014 which was very nice. Wanted her to learn to drive on the vehicle she was going to drive. It had some recalls that were a couple years old so took it in and had recalls done at a local Ford dealership. After started having issues with the coolant system and that was one of the recalls and was told the repairs could cost a lot of money. Decided to trade it before got bad so on January 1, 2022 went to a Nissan dealership and traded it for a new 2022 Nissan Sentra SV. Back then stock was low and reason traded for a new vehicle was because a used one was more expensive. When went to test drive did not expect much for the price but was very pleasantly surprised. Got a lot for the money and rode a drove way above my expectations. Still would have it except she got rear ended by another young driver a few months back. So with insurance pay out went back to Nissan dealer and ended up with a new 2023 Nissan Alitma SR. Lot of vehicle for the price once again. Loved both of these cars so when my 2020 Chevrolet Silverado stated giving me a lot of engine problems with only 19,000 miles decided to dump it and went to trade for a new 2023 Titan Midnight Edition. Moved and really didn't need a truck anymore and sitting next to the Titan was a new 2023 Nissan Maxima SR. Test drove it and then drove it home. Don't miss my truck and at 72 years of age I tell my much younger wife that the Maxima is my mid life crises vehicle. Love this vehicle. I personally would recommend either the Sentra, Altima and Maxima highly and in each one of them you get a lot of standard options that others charge for at a very fair price. In a short time we went from a Ford, Chevrolet family to a Nissan family. Oh I really liked the Titan also just decided on the Maxima.

They should make the Nissan emblem glow front and back. Also make the back lights a solid red like some of the other vehicles makes out there. That will give it that updated futuristic look. I promise you that you will be better off in every way getting the Corolla. It has more power, better economy, much better transmission reliability, and I find Toyotas safety sense technology is just better than Nissans. The higher price is because of the new engine the corollas all have standard now (dynamic force). This engine is the most thermally efficient engine sold commercially in cars ever made. You buy the corolla for that. Just my opinion, buy what you want!

The biggest problem that this car has is that the Corolla is only about $1000 more and it comes with a significantly more powerful engine, better fuel economy, and a proven transmission.
