    I'm in the Chicago area. Back in early September I bought a 2024 CX-5 Premium in Deep Crystal Blue Mica for my wife...absolutely beautiful and no paint surcharge! Got it at $1,000 below MSRP. It only had wheel locks, all weather mats and a rear step pad as required accessories (all of which were fine with me). Many come with installed roof rails which not only cost $450 but to me actually detract from the car. There are many other port installed options like mud guards, cargo mats, privacy covers, seat guards you name it which become part of the sticker price so trying to get what you want the way you want can be a challenge. I think I just got lucky. It was in transit and arriving in a week.
    Couldn't see going for the next step up Premium Plus trim for an additional $2,700 as only a heated steering wheel interested her. Didn't need wireless Apple/Android, cell phone charger, heated rear seats heads up display etc. But that's a personal preference. I also I drove both the Turbo and the Non Turbo prior to purchase and the Non Turbo is plenty quick especially in sport mode. She recently caught herself going 80 down the expressway not realizing it since the car is so quiet. So that tells you a little about sound insulation as well as power.
    It is a wonderfully designed, well thought out car both inside and out. The workmanship is impeccable. The interior is very luxury like. It's been around for quite a while so thoroughly tested. In my opinion it is one of the best deals out there in this crazy market. I say, if it fits your needs, my recommendation is...buy one!

      I agree with your thoughts on the CX-5. I also bought a 2024 CX-5 a couple weeks ago in the Turbo Premium trim in Eternal Blue Mica. I found one with no accessories and the rep threw in the black wheel locks and cargo mat. That's all I wanted. If I had gone with the normally aspirated engine, I would have gotten the Premium trim. It looks like the Signature for 2024 with the 19 inch silver wheels and color matched wheel arches. Also has the black leather and Bose stereo and most of the toys. It's a great deal. Not worth the jump to the Premium Plus for $2,600 more. And I agree, the roof rails detract from the car especially since I don't have a need for roof rails. I got the turbo because I haven't had a fast car in decades and decided to get one this time around but the non-turbo engine is plenty quick since it's a 2.5 liter large 4-cylinder. I agree, the CX-5 is a beautiful car. Feels really luxurious, quiet, well designed, well built. It's a great choice. Something you turn around and look at as you walk away in a parking lot, and say, "Damm, that's a nice car!"

    My CX-5 Carbon Turbo is somewhere in the Pacific Ocean headed to port in California. (Special ordered from dealer on 12/16)

    I purchased my first car, 2024 CX-5 S Preferred deep blue crystal mica 3 days ago, and I couldn't be happier. I was inclined towards the Carbon Edition first, only problem was it was available in only 1 color. Anyways, it's a brilliant car and it was a great time to buy given 0 percent APR special offer.
    My other preference was a Hyundai Tuscon which had many more features, but was a distant second based on driving experience.

    Just recently purchased the CX-5 Premium, absolutely love it. Spent about $50 on a wireless adapter to get wireless android auto which was really the only thing that the premium plus had that I felt I was really missing out on. No idea why Mazda decided to keep wireless connectivity behind a several thousand dollar paywall.

    Just bought the 2.0 S Premium Plus and my selling point was on the 0% APR incentive for the 3 models mentioned at the end. The decision for me was the gas mileage and fuel selection on the Non-Turbo models.
    Mazda says the Turbo models will average 3 mpg less than a NT model, and that Turbo models need Premium gas to reach the 250 HP spec they advertise, the vehicle will take regular but you are sacrificing 33 HP (217 HP) in order to save money.
    Fuel mileage and premium features with a lower cost of use was why I went with the Premium Plus.

    I picked up a 2024 Turbo Premium trim in Eternal Blue Mica last week. I agree that it's hard to pass this trim up for just $1300 more than the Premium Plus or $800 more than the Carbon Turbo. It has all of the features I wanted and I like the black wheels and black leather with red stitching. I thought that the Premium trim was a great deal too and considered that. The 0% 60 month financing Mazda was offering sealed the deal. I love the car.

My 2019 was flawless for the 5 years I had it so I automatically went for another CX-5, as a previous Ford only owner it was refreshing to have a vehicle that didn’t once need any warranty work or money put into it. We just bought the turbo premium in machine gray. Traded in a 2022 CX-9 carbon edition in poly metal gray. Came out to 39,819
    Really like our 2022 CX-9 carbon edition even though we never used the 3rd row even once. I think the CX-5 is about 18 inches shorter.

    • @toptrims
      @toptrims  День назад

      That’s exciting! How are you liking the feel of the CX-5 compared to the CX-9?

    • @oscardelta1257
      @oscardelta1257 День назад

      @toptrims The CX-5 doesn't feel as smooth riding as the CX-9 but I suspect it's because the wheel base on the CX-5 is shorter, however, the CX-5 seems more nimble.
      I don't know if it's just an optical illusion but the tires on the CX-9 looked sligjtly wider than on the CX-5, although the tires appear to be premium Toyo tires on the CX-5. Wheels are the same black except the lug nuts are chrome on the CX-5 but we're black on the CX-9.
      Kinda of disappointed that the interior lighting we had in our CX-9 isn't in the CX-5. The CX-9 had really cool interior lighting inside the doors etc you could see everywhere inside the cabin when driving at night, the light was soft LED lighting. Passengers always commented how great it was.
      The CX-5 does have a few more options than our CX-9 turbo carbon edition had. Namely the heads up display, wireless android auto and Apple carplay, USB C ports in the center console instead of USB A ports and traffic jam assist. They also threw in a cargo net since I left the one I bought in the CX-9. We used the cargo net all the time especially when hauling groceries.
      I did test drive the CX-90 and wasn't that impressed, I think our CX-9 actually was better. Also test drove the CX-50 premium plus and really liked it but they couldn't make the numbers work. We bought the last 2024 CX-5 turbo premium the dealer had and they wanted to get rid of the 2024's so they gave us a good deal.
      All in all we are happy with it, our payment is less by a Jackson and a Lincoln per month and our monthly insurance is less and we didn't put anything down. It was a straight up you take ours and we'll take yours. We went to the same dealership, it's important to build a relationship with the dealership because you're dealing with the same people who sold you the last vehicle, you know them and they know you. The salesperson who sold us the CX-9 was promoted to a sales manager so we were actually dealing with the same person which was great. In fact a lot of the same people were still there which tells me they like working for that dealership.
