So far this method also works for the Kato ES44 locomotives using these exact couplers from MT. I havent tried it on my Kato SD70M locos yet since I ran out of couplers but I hope it's this simple too.

How should you change it to a Rapido replacement coupler?
I haven't try to change it back to Rapido coupler. But why you need to do this?
