    So far this method also works for the Kato ES44 locomotives using these exact couplers from MT. I havent tried it on my Kato SD70M locos yet since I ran out of couplers but I hope it's this simple too.

      Yes. In general most of model railroader in Hong Kong are modeling Japanese style layout and the height is usually at table top level.

    Really nice set. The boxcars are a neat addition. The defects are unfortunate, but fortunately small. With a little weathering nobody will ever notice.
