In this episode, I will do a railfanning for my weathered Tomix 2239 JR DE10-1000形ディーゼル機関車(JR貨物新更新車B) with the Kato 10-1167 TAKI1000 Oil Tank Car Set タキ1000日本石油輸送色ENEOS(エコレールマーク付)8両セットB. The train was running in Hong Kong Railway Modelling Society (RMS) which is a Japanese style model railroad layout.

Hello. Whats the name of that motor you install that closes and releases the coal? Very nice deisgn I would like one as well for HO scale. Thanks for uploading. Could it be a micro digital linear servo?
Its a 1.5g micro linear servo. I bought it at Taobao item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.54.2fe245d8RoXLD2&id=589648553263&ns=1&abbucket=10#detail
Sooooo nice for this weathering job. Just ordered this model couple of days ago!
So far this method also works for the Kato ES44 locomotives using these exact couplers from MT. I havent tried it on my Kato SD70M locos yet since I ran out of couplers but I hope it's this simple too.
I like that you used the original retainer instead of the screw that comes with the new couplers. Great job. Thanks for the video. 👍🏽
How should you change it to a Rapido replacement coupler?
I haven't try to change it back to Rapido coupler. But why you need to do this?

Nice loco, I just started my model railroading journey and bought a Tomix starter set. What type of glue did you use to stick the loco number plates?
I use the general model glue, but just use a little bit.

Yes. In general most of model railroader in Hong Kong are modeling Japanese style layout and the height is usually at table top level.

Really nice set. The boxcars are a neat addition. The defects are unfortunate, but fortunately small. With a little weathering nobody will ever notice.
