for me who English is not the native language, your locution is very clear and I really appreciate that because sometimes I have a hard time to hear clearly what people are saying, and for that matter the tutorial is very well explained for a complete beginner like me who just started, it will be very useful, thank you !
To make it even faster, you can duplicate a loot filter line. So you make one for armor, duplicate it and change it to boots.
You will want most of the same affixes for these items anyways and only have to add/substract a few per line. Saves you bunch of clicks.

This is amazing, definitely subbed but I do have one question. How do you know which affixes roll on each item type? I was surprised when the game showed every single option for each item even when that affix couldn't roll on the item.
Easy peasy, not quite how I set up, but as AAron states in the video several ways to get what you want from the Loot Filters.

Wauw Now the lootfilter make sense
I am on my first play through and think I might use the color code for minion damage/ health / resistances ext.. I think as a fresh player I don’t want to miss something, so I will only add colors to whats important and not block everything out (step 1). Loot filters can be scary for new players due to the fact you don’t know what can drop. You can always grab one from maxroll and curtail it to your liking for safety too.
I love this games loot filter. My filters are continuously evolving, as my characters gear gets better. If I'm building an ALT also I add their filter in with a different colour. Lastly you can hyper target improvements for late game with combinations of Hide/Show but you have to be really careful with this.

I just duplicated the first armor rule to speed it up. Then did the same for the other types and changed color to keep it easier to read in the list & drops. So easy compared to PoE's lootfilter madness. Thanks Aaron 😁

The most important thing is, to know what affixes are interesting for your build. If you know that you can make a loot filter exactly like you described it.
Do you already know with what build you start? I thought about your latest lazy necro as e league starter...what affixes would you recommend for that?

I’d make a lootfilter that has Sets, Uniques, exalts, and all minion affixs…. Recolor minion affixes to a color u like
Can you make a guide explaining combat mech? Like attack speed, dot, increases, more, added,etc?? This would be a multiple video thing and if you include examples for each class you can do a entire series on it. I think its needed for people to understand what everything does (not me I figured it out but I am sure people still new have not and just follow builds....)

New sub here...just started LE this weekend. Still low level but what I wonder is as a newbie, how do I even know what I should be filtering for different classes? So early I have yet to figure out what is exactly important and I am not going by any build guides so I can learn and have fun while levelling. Right now, I simply have hidden all normal items so still getting a crap ton of drops and I don't like how the map isn't saved when you port back to town to sell crap. I know this is all just learning, but wondering if you have any thoughts on new player loot filters

How do i know on what item i want that stat? Like helmet and armor you always go for health? Why? Do I also go for health on shoes, and why not health on amulet over armor?

Trying to build a Loot Filter for my 'Farming' Pali.
Do you, or anyone else here, have a good starting Filter for Farming for all future class builds? Like I need all the Idols and stuff to show, all Legis and Purples, and like All Yellows as long as they have at least 3 of X affixes (so I can set it to the Class Specific affixes and Health/Crit/whatever is universal and important, main stat, yadda yadda)...
I keep trying to build my own filter, but then I feel like I'm NOT seeing things I want to see and seeing stuff I don't still.
They gave us GREAT tools to build filters with, but lort there are so many things to know.

stupid question - isnt it better to put the set/unique/exalted more close to the bottom - so if a exalted item drops with the base+rolls you wanna have -its like "marked" as something you want

seems like exalted items are just not as rare - and after a certain point... i just dont look at them XD - well - you prob. check all of them .. but as a quite new player i rly dont know what is good or bad - but i have alrdy to many and stashes after stashes full with it - i just fear to miss good "needed" ones - cause they are just the 1000 purple in this echo xd
also wondering does your shatter rule not makes tons of items you wanna have - the wrong(shatter) color?
Is the loot filter a little buggy? Set one up and it seemed to have wrong numbers on item type counts
How do u know IF tge affix will actually spawn on the item? Also how do u know which ones you actually want to search for? As a new player i dont know what is even possible
Is the reason you didn’t select any resistance affixes because you’ll craft them on?
followed your guide but for some reason my loot filter doesn't apply. When I press X, I can see it toggle Disable/Enabled, but still showing all loot on ground and not recolored.
EDIT: found the issue, my mistake on not clicking one affix, and now works flawlessly!! Thank you!
I've been playing LE to give me something to do while waiting for Diablo 4 but at this rate it's going to be hard to play D4 if they don't have similarly good QoL such as named stash tabs, loot filter, etc!
What about keys. What are they classed as?
Can You filter for forging potential too? This would be helpful...
I wish you could add a rule that specifies how many affixes or a exclusion rule. I want t5 single affix blues for rune of removals.

A really good filter guide. Keeps it streamline. the only thing for me is how to fix the filter drop down menu. Its not working properly. selecting all my filters still shows blank window and box below in menu is half hidden and game locks up.

Tips for good universal leveling filter rules would be cool. Assuming you bother with one which maybe you don't.
Lately I've been playing around with filters for leveling to help me with starting in MP update. For example rules to help focus resists in the order that the campaign prioritizes them. E.g. Void res up to lvl 25, then necrotic and lightning... Etc.
Also highlighting items with move speed on them or rare affixes for possible shattering. Idols with high value e.g. resist and HP.
Any other ideas/tips for good generic helpful filtering, especially on 'league start' like we'll have with MP launch.

Not clear on why you'd want to hide magic items when they have two affixes you're looking for? Wouldn't that be a good base to add affixes to?
They usually have significantly lower forging potential.

Not a single Diablo game has loot filter! Sorry LE, this need of a loot filter is bad game design.
Most retarded thing I've read this week I believe. In diablo u see a ton of garbage, are u stupid? Everyone would be using a loot filter if the game had one implemented.
