Excellent use of the plastic and old pallets! A lot of weeds, even the nettle roots could be thrown in a pail/barrel of water and left to rot for a couple of weeks, then put in a compost pile. This method would capture the nutrients. Permaculture recommends water storage at the top of a slope to allow for subterranean absorption and ease of use to water the plot by gravity if you need to (seems like you have so much rain, maybe you wouldn't ever have a drought! lol). What good work you are doing! Congratulations!

Glad your ditch seems to be working, your planted area is looking swell too!
Can't believe how quickly you get an area dug over, you might not be getting as much done as you would like, you are tackling a difficult plot at a fair pace though, it takes me a day to dig a square metre over 😬 I'm hoping you're going to tell me you don't have couch grass haha 👀 please, please say it.
I am custom building a polycarb tunnel at the moment with my dad, can't wait till I have somewhere to keep gardening during heavy rain, planning on growing grapes melons in it this year 😁🤞🏻
Relieved to know I'm not the only one still working with paper and cutting rough to scale pieces out to plan with 😅

Magnificent work with the drainage! Your work is absolutely paying off. A little progress is also progress.. All that is done is done, and all that isn't still needs to get done hehe.. I dont know how many hours you're able to put into this between life and work, so well done you! I hope you save some of the raspberries, but I understand well the need to get raspberries under control, I'm a bit overgrown on raspberries myself! Looks like your beans are eager to hold on to something already, it's clearly growing very well.
Too bad the weather was so unpleasant. It's pretty windy and wet in Norway as well.. The snow melted for the 10th time or so, and more snow WAS due tonight, but luckily the forecast has changed.
Perhaps you could do a road trip video, showing off some local features of plants, allotments or gardens, or ideas you like to implement into your own allotment? I keep eagerly awaiting new videos, so I do appreciate you letting us all know it might be a while until the next.

Weather has been a nightmare and my garden in the north west is like a swamp but super happy to see even with all the rain you have made a dent in the standing water on your plot, just in time to avoid being eaten alive by mosquitos. I get so envious of the flashy USA youtubers when I look out and it's grey and cold here, I have an unheated polytunnel and even with that it is slow going. I somewhat abandoned early cropping varieties is favour of cold hardy things.

The rain is driving us all a bit mad now. I went to my plot and tidied up under my lean-to as it was too wet to do much else. And I hate tidying up!

Nice one ! Have you ever thought about dig a row then plant / sow it straight away, then next time you've already something in the ground. the shoots start to get inspiring as row after row appears.
Rotation will fall into place gradually but you have time.
Or square yard dig and plant. Lots of beds lots of different veggies.

The only thing stopping me from direct sowing is how rampant all of the weeds are. I’ll try to fairly soon once I’ve got on top of a few areas. The idea of getting stuff in the ground gradually like that really appeals to me though 😊

Thank you for the great videos. I wee bit of advise from the rain forests of Vancouver Canada. 1. Contact a tree cutter and ask for the wood chips and use on all walk ways. 2. Its best to have the pond at the lower level that way the water is always changing and collecting all the wash away silt to reuse. 3. RUclips will recommend you more if you have more time laps videos with music if available. 4.Do your best to work and talk at the same time that will keep peoples interest. 5. I love the plan on paper that is a great idea then people can follow the plan and see it change and get implimented. 6. Organics lots of organics. Biomass is so important. Leave all biomass on site. The bigger/deeper the compost bin the hotter it gets the faster it composts just dont over heat it. Branches on top do nothing think dense. 7. At the end of the day when you look back take 1 min just to breath and look around at everything you did. That is a great reward. 8. Just keep plugging along. I might be Cornish at heart and birth but we all love to keep on doing good. Thank You ! Any if you made it this far ill give you a business idea. Asl people to bring you their broken window screens and repair them. I make a killing doing that here. Check FB if anyone does it there. I change 25 to 30 a window cdn $
