I put a Burris fast fire 3 on my p17 that I took off of my AR. It works great and it’s small and compact perfect for the p17. Went with a different red dot on my AR so it worked out great.

Ill get the adapter ordered, i have the mini dot. I was worried about cocking it. It looks like you put your hand right in the stock site. I don't care to much for the sites so a dot will be sweet.

Those 11 mm to Weaver adapters are great to learn about. I have a number of sights that came with free Weaver/Pic rings that I have in reserve, with plans to buy 11mm rings down the road, if I need them on the scopes. I have many guns that were made before Pic rails became so popular and the better deals on ring and scope combos, these days, seem to include Weaver/Pic rather than 11mm rings. I think these adapters would be better than buying ring sets.
Wanted to share with you a sighting setup that I have on one of my P17s. I'm using low or medium (don't remember for certain which) 11mm rings with a 2.5X30 NcStar pistol scope (very economic scope). It turns out that the scope tube hangs out behind the gun's slid enough to provide a good deal of mechanical leverage that makes cocking the gun much easier. The gun IS heavier as a result, but the weight is distributed well. I've had the gun set up this way for a long time and, even though I'm gripping and pushing down on the scope tube when I cock the gun, the scope has always maintained zero. The scope is also easy on the hand because of its shape. The extra magnification helps me with longer range shooting because of my aged eyesight and, of course, if you shoot from a sandbag, you don't even notice the additional weight. Just thought I'd mention it because you seem to enjoy experimenting with your various optics.
Looking forward to the 2240 build out. Have you ever owned a 2260 MB by Sheridan? Great gun that I think is actually a Crosman.

Thanks for the tips. I have yet to own a single sheridan!

    *I really like the size!*
This is exactly what I was looking for to use on my Crosman Vigilante but I couldn't find one at a decent price in Kenada... 😢🇨🇦
_Now I want Picatinny to dovetail adapters....haha_

Good shooting. I picked a similar one - different brand name - that was almost 2x the price. What brightness setting were you using? Looks good. 👍

I am just turning it on with one click so its the lowest setting possible

@@WalnutandSteelSeems to do better below 5 settings I think for most of us with astigmatisms. Over that things get fuzzy & elongated but that gives me an excuse to miss. 👓 👀 🎯🙈

I know you do well with iron sights. Do you find that the red dots help your shooting as our eyes age?

Seems that they help tighten the groups a bit
