when I'm at work. I have the DeWalt hammer drill and my friends have the Milwaukee. when we're laying pipe on concrete walls . the DeWalt hammer drill is by far the first choice we all use because it just goes through concrete better. And when you're cutting a hundred holes in concrete in a day DeWalt is superior

Just out of curiosity, why would you use this sort of "hammer drill" when putting one hole after the other in concrete? It might be able to drill, but it's a joke compared to a proper SDS rotary hammer, even a small one.

The dewalt appears to spin correctly throughout. On a further note VCG's TTR shows a more comparable outcome between these two in the concrete test.

Even VCG guys in their tool test raw last week went neck and neck up until one tie breaker at the ned that wa sone by a nose hair. So I expected this Power Detect to be noticeably better than the current DCD996 model, and noticebly better than Milwaukee, which it is not. In construction the oldest hammer drills were the Hilti's. I dropped the corded ones off of 16 foot ladders by accident with no damage to the gun. The old USA made Milwaukee corded I believe they were called "black hawk" we're one of my favorites due to its light weight, compact size. Over the years people decided that buying a cheaper tool made in China and having less use is more important than supporting American manufacturers and paying more for a longer lasting product so milwaukee went that route which always hurts good USA manufacturers.
Stores like harbor freight attract these type of customers who like spending nothing on China made crap and give no shits that their hurting the good usa manufacturers that professionals like me prefer.

Dewalt ist even made in the USE anymore. Their made in the USA sticker with global materials is just that., what it really means is assembled in the USA. that also means they take a China tool and put in a bag as kit on USA soil. That is legal enough to say "MADE IN THE USA"

I mean are people really that conserved about saving a quarter of a second on a drill I mean I suppose over 10 years you may have saved yourself one minute of time but then again if something cost $30 less it feels like the cheaper one would be the better solution.
