What was your first impression of Africa on your first visit to the continent?

When I visited Ghana, I couldn't wait to leave. Though I stayed four days, the beggN and price gouging was overwhelming. And it started in customs.
@@japhya0378…it’s same in many countries in Africa including Egypt. You don’t have to give if you don’t want to. Saying begging made you uncomfortable is a reflection of the person you’re. Ghana is fortunate you left and never going back.
@@dadoboye1536 Hmm, it's pathetic that you think I should feel comfortable with other people's misfortune. How can I possibly feel comfortable with the idea of people needing to beg? Begging is nothing that I will ever be comfortable with. And the fact that you are so comfortable with it, seeing it, being in the environment of day in and day out, tells me that you are okay with people being in the position where they have to beg. Instead of you focusing on making your country a better place to live, your concern is on what is happening in other African countries and how you think I should feel. People like you are a huge part of the reason the begging and price gouging is so popular in your countries. You have absolutely no integrity...And the buttholes who agreed with you doesn't have any either.
@@dadoboye1536 I will be back in Ghana in 8 months. I hope not to see yo beggN behind there 🙄🙄
@@japhya0378 …your arrogance is all the way up there. Who says I even live in Ghana? Surprised you even want to go back there.
I am an Ethiopian who moved to Canada on 2021 ! It didn’t take more than a year before some called me a monkey at work! Even though I felt numb about it at the moment, it clicked my soul when so many experiences got added to it.Not only for that reason but I have been through a lot of confusion, constant feeling of not belonging here and no satisfaction in life at all.I work so hard but I couldn’t even laugh as I used to before ! Above all my soul couldn’t fit in with most of the things going out here! I 💯 belong to Africa , Ethiopia is home for me. With all the problems listed out in Africa there is social connection , love and endless feeling of home, I will take it than every material ,I worked so hard for. I pray the time will come and I will definitely move back home and live amongst people I will laugh and cry together with. Africa has a genuine love 🖤
True❤❤ very true
FACT!! Always free and happy
@@omalichaability3800 🖤
There is no place like home, there is a saying in Ghana, that if the back of your hand is sweet is not sweeter than the palm of your hand.
@@TWUMKWAME5 🖤
I like what you guys said bout moving there with purpose, open businesses create jobs and bring the grit and grind you learned in the diaspora to strengthen the continents infrastructure
African American can move to Africa but keep their American citizenship as well. Once they established a connection with Africa, that by itself will boost their confidence as it will always act as a reminder that they have a place where they originated from or their ancestors came from. Your identity is everything and means to me.
This is so cool. Your kids learning about Africa through literature 🎉
Nothing bad would happen if we all moved to Africa on mass. A calling to Africa. ✊🏾
bye.
It’s easier in Africa to live in good neighborhoods and send the kids to good schools too.
I personally would not mind if African Americans would all come back. Africa would be all the richer❤
The diaspora should be a strength, having two citizenship also makes more sense, best of two worlds. My brother has An American citizenship and still a Nigerian. He moves Lagos to Texas and owns property in 🇳🇬 And businesses in both. I think that the best way
I feel so hurt to hear what others are experiencing within Europe and USA... We as should come together and help more to come over to Africa.... Whether it's info sharing... Just one at a time.
African American respected elderly Man living in Ghana over 25years said it's an extimated 37 thousand Americans living in Ghana 🇬🇭 alone and 5,000 registered diasporas living in Ghana right now
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Ghana people with lamba 😂😂😂😂
Africa is home
❤️🖤💚
I love your love for Africa ❤
This was so emotional damn! 😔 much love to all our black american brothers and sisters 💟 🇺🇸🇰🇪
As time goes by, a lot will change. Africa is flexible,
Nice video
Africans in the USA & EU understand why the diaspora is moving to Africa. Bear in mind that we live 2 lives; our biggest investments are in Africa. For me, I secured some of the best lands at home while I was in USA and built real estate. USA is just for the $$ value, pleasure time we do here at home. Many move back after having an estate & business.
Got right into your show today ❤ ❤
One thing you notice about this video is the interviewer intentionally showing a poor part of Accra instead of the many modern and developed sections of the city. Western propaganda can’t help itself and always portrays Africa as poor.
Like!😩😩😩
It doesn't matter when they show the downside of the country. Those parts are indeed part of the country. We just have to have the mindset that no matter what we're proud of our country and make the efforts to make it better for ourselves.
@@odengkwasi …I disagree. I’m not saying Africans are not proud of any parts of their countries. My point is the subtle portraying of part of Ghana as poor even though there’re many other more developed areas that could’ve been shown. Africa needs to push back on western propaganda that has been so negative for so long.
Love your advise at the end. Thank you ❤
Don't be surprised if she captures your heart 😌
They move to the America and Europe for Economic reasons and at the end of the day, they move back to the continent
Only those who get financial breakthrough come back, those who get stuck in the American rat race are always embarrassed to come back because of high expectations back home.
You right, brother
God bless Africa 🌍❤
Europe is amazing, honestly. However, it wasn't built for Africans.
The laws are always aimed at us. We all economic migrants, get some capital (money, education, exposure, etc) then leave for HOME.
LOVE ❤️ ❤ Africa 🌍
The Moors built part of it as did African slaves and slavery money just like for the USA. We must also not forget the former colonies and the plundering of raw materials and natural resources.
It goes both ways. Be ready before you move. Just like getting a job. Know where you are going before you leave where you were.
@TheDemouchetsREACT. You may want to see the video of DIY House and Farm, she's also an African American who relocated to Ghana and she's really enjoying it
Hey! Love your stuff, watching from Nairobi. That was termites you were asking very testy 🤪
Thank you!
We should most definitely get dual citizenship somewhere else. We have to put some eggs in different baskets. We need options to be able to bounce if need be. That plandemic was the last straw for me. Im getting that American money no doubt, anyway I know how , because thats what America is good for. And I deserve it. But Ill be setting up shop somewhere in Africa too. We be going to Africa for the first time in a week. Super excited.
Lovely 😍 that's great news. 👍🏿
13:09 That's true I never thought about it that way. Deep thoughts sierra
Come to Africa because you want to be home.Be a bother /sister a Friend or mother/ father. Not to change our culture our beliefs and norms.
Will embrace you , love you and be your family. Be one us.
We value Respect more than anything.
Black/ White.
🇿🇦🇿🇦
those look like termites from the termite mound you know like an anthill -- they are delicious
@18:32 Those are white ants, a special delicacy in Uganda, y'all have to come home one day
We been waiting for yall ever since you got told to go back to Africa.
Imo Africans in diaspora go through a modern version of what our ancestors in Africa went through during colonial times. I think everyone oughta come back home where you are socially free and help with the current economic slavery we are currently fighting.
Do you two think you’ll move there? I think it’s great that people want to move where their ancestors are from.
Demouchets, Iam from ghana and I have lived in SPAIN, GERMANY AND now in LONDON. But, I can assure you that every African have the intention to go back home. Sometimes the means to go and stay forever is not there. Also, we are waiting to our leaders to make the "economy a bit stable " to enable us go back home without panic. Lastly, you should have sufficient funds bcoz we l"ive in a nuclear family mood". So that, if any of the family is in urgent needs, you should be able to assist due to the fact that you come from abroad.
Bro Mr demouchet you got a very beautiful wife, sooo beautiful I swear.
That's cloves. has medicinal properties.
We Africans who moved here for a better life were deceived as well , we didn’t know what we know now and stuck , it’s expensive to visit Africa let alone moving .
The people with the doubting spirit as you said are called 'doubting thomas' here.
I moved to US from Zim, I think US was sold to us and its not what I expected, I wish it was me going back home, literally I am struggling to save and if I am in a good place, it will be bye bye US, and had I known what I know now, I would have not chosen to come,. However, if I had most of my family here, maybe I would have a different mindset. But its very difficult and its a harsh place - am speaking as an immigrant.
We feel bad that you’re having a hard time. Try researching areas with a lower cost of living.
@@TheDemouchetsREACT I shall, thank you so much
You’re welcome. Houston & Dallas suburbs are great for families. More bang for your buck in Texas without losing out on quality!
@@TheDemouchetsREACT Wow - you are confirming for me - 🙂 that's prophetic

Is the name Demouchet common in Haiti?
It could be due to the French origin. We aren't sure.
@@TheDemouchetsREACTYh, is definitely a French last name
Yes definitely it is a french last name. If the Demouchet are from Louisiana, do not forget many enslaved africans from Haiti followed their french masters after the Haiti independence to Louisiana. A lot of black Americans from Louisiana have Haitian ancestors
This is true (last name and Haitian ancestry), but Louisiana was once a French colony as well. We have not found Haitian ancestry on my husband’s side in the genealogical research as of yet.
@@TheDemouchetsREACT...
What I think about the Afrikaans Americans moving to Afrika is coming all in to Alkebulan, the garden of Eden and the mother of nations. Come back so that you want to face police brutality and racism. Come HOME PLEASE. ❤❤❤
I rarely ever make online comments, I have watched many of your videos and appreciate them.
No place is a perfect place. The world is created to blend that is why there are varieties of foods and different blend of ways to enjoy them.
To your question, should every AA move to Africa. My suggestion would be that every one (AA/African) should take advantage of what the current world has presented to them and use it in a positive light.
Both African continent & the western world has its extreme disadvantages & advantages, taking some of the advantages of both worlds creates some sort of balance and appreciation.
Africa teaches you that nothing good comes easy, it teaches you discipline, self control, gratitude and confidence.
Western world gives the freedom and opportunity to practice what Africa teaches you. Hence the reason Africans excel abroad and foreigners feel at peace in Africa.
There really is so much I would love to say but too much to put down in words.
Well done for all you do.
