This design will work on Windows 10, Nintendo Switch, MCPE, PS4, and Xbox!

VERY IMPORTANT: if your creepers are standing there, not moving(aka path finding is broken), change the trapdoors on the roof for buttons. I did a 1 hour AFK test and got just under 9 stacks of gunpowder. Here is a full tutorial: ruclips.net/video/EotH0BTg744/видео.htmlsi=LchwYrZLbo_4P3ZP
So all this time there was never need for trap doors on the roof? Buttons work? Are you sure? Seems odd that buttons only allow creepers to spawn. It's way more cost efficient, why wasn't anyone doing that before?
Edit to note my fix instead of buttons:
CREEPER NOT MOVING FIX: So I came up with a solution was closing a number of the trap doors. The problem seems to be the "path finding" doesn't trigger. But by have at least one close trap door next to a spawn spot it allows the path finding to trigger, and even with less holes to fall into they start moving and eventually fall into a hole. My farm rates when from 150 gp/hr to 960 gp/hr.
The pattern I did is all outer rim trap doors closed, then every other row inside. Means only 40% as many holes to fall into, but the pathfinding starts and ultimately functions way better. Hope this helps someone.
Are you talking about the roof for all layers or just the very top roof. And by”roof” are we just talking about the underside of the layers?
@@neonibu9175 couldn't you just close every other door and each spawning spot has one open and one closed trapdoor?
@@funkysocks_ Well on the edges it blocks in a spawn spots as there is only one block they could move to. Out side of the edges, every other block works I did that as alternating rows as I found that simplest, but other patterns likely work well as long as one of the 4 trap doors near the spawn spot is closed it will move.

this doesn't work as of the current 1.21 update, something broke the pathfinding ai giving the creepers about a 50% chance of getting stuck. to make it work you have to also replace the ceiling trapdoors with buttons, which somehow fixes pathfinding and the farm should work as before.

My creeper farm was working before but suddenly after updating it stopped working and then I watch your video and remove the cat platform and make one like yours and even having 11 × 13 platform it spawns many creeper than cat platform with 25 gunpowder in 15 min in mobile

Get some testing found a easy way to keep Max rates instead of replacing the buttons with trap doors replace them with fence gates so the can walk around and fall easily
Wasted my time doing this it makes spiders spawn

I tested this when I was looking for a fix, and I also found fences don't work. The problem is the block needs cover the entire block, not just the center does like with fences or buttons

I was afk at my game and came back to loads after spiders at the kill chamber thanks for the help I used the farm it isn’t as efficient now but at least it still works

Since the creepers take their time falling, My best suggestion to update the farm even more is to find the radius in which they get scared of cats, and place 2-3 cats in the farm every layer you build

Hi, have you tried this on a realm aswell as a normal server? I’ve seen others talk about it not working and they all mention they’re on realms (I’m also on a realms and had no luck).
Also should I search for an ocean away from my base to build this instead of it being over a lake with land close surrounding it?

Im also on a realm. I was on a normal server before and we transferred to realm after almost losing the world due to corrupt file bs.
Every automatic farm seems to work BUT this.

Hey my creeper farm, not working I built 164 blocks high and I did everything in the video I don’t know it it because im in a realm so i built it on my survival world and it still not spawner in creepers do you have any idea on any fixes for this I’m on 1.20.81
My farm broke yesterday also on 1.20.81. It was producing well and now nothing. Hopefully this video helps! My iron farm is broken now as well I think.

Does the farm have to be on hard? Does normal just affect drop rates?
It will work on easy or normal, but that is correct hard just gives better rates.
hey can’t you just place buttons on every block? or will that keep everything from spawning?
They changed it, buttons no longer stop spiders from spawning. Also that would stop most things from spawning, including creepers lol
Im on version 1.21.3.0 and used all trap doors and nothing is spawning. Im above an ocean and went 100 blocks into the sky
1. Make sure your not on peaceful mode.
2. Make sure your afk no closer than 24 blocks away from the farm.

Sadly not, since they don’t cover the entire block

All solid blocks must be solid blocks, but for trapdoors I guess that could probably work. The rates would stay the same though

I made this exact farm still on 1.20 so still have the buttons but just nothing spawns in general on the farm it is a realm but it’s on normal not peaceful and not in a river biome the kill box is at y=252 so about 140 above the closest land in the last 14 hours maybe have got 23 gunpowder and that’s just at random I’ve tried standing at the kill box and even at an afk platform off the side but no luck

When i use the trapdoors only creepers spawn which is good ur after a while the rate at which i get gunpowder goes to 0 and i think this is because some creepers do not move at all and they clog up the mob cap making other creepers not spawn. Do you know a fix to this?

@@neonibu9175 i found out that you can put buttons on the ceiling instead of trapdoors and the creepers pathfinding will work
its working incredible, i just have this problem where the creepers are not falling down and there are like 20 creepers stuck on floor 4-7

@@BlazedMCs Just tested this build. With trap doors they won’t pathfind. With coral they immediately drop.
My recent video adds buttons to the roof instead of trapdoors which also fixed the path finding issue, so they both work
Have a problem with this. 😂 no mobs are spawning. and i have only trapdoors and still nothing im 133 block up from the sea aswell 🙃. Any advice and im on a realm
Are you on hard? Try reloading your game, AFKing at different places (bedrock can be buggy), and if that doesn’t work you can download my world in the description to see if something is different.

@@Jmisafk interesting. I guess it could harm rates, although surely even if one less creeper is spawning, the ones that are spawning are instantly falling down instead of having to wait manually for them to fall

i wanna build an afk gunpowder farm, but the comments saying they are not working are scaring me... i really dont want to build this massive farm if it doesnt work...
The farm works, often times people just don’t know how to build them. If you follow all steps (and don’t build in a river biome), it will work. If you want to less risky option, check out a witch or ghast farm on my channel.

Unfortunately this amazing creeper farm is no longer amazing. With the trap doors on the floor like this I went afk for like 8 hours and only got 38 gun powder.
I noticed that lots of creeers were spawning but none of them were moving or falling for so long. Sometimes even hours the creepers would stay in same spot

RATE: I got almost 2 stacks in 1 hour 1.21 Bedrock edition. Built this above water about 250 blocks away from the nearest shore.

hey my kill box on 1.20 is on y=193 and the farm is 2 layers tall , the thing is not a single mob has spawned , only when i take the slabs off the roof , i am over a little lake so not over an ocean. Need help cant fix it

spiders seem to be happy spawning on carpet and moss carpet. I had no success with trapdoors top and bottom, zero spawns after hours, for some reason on the realm the other mobs also object to having trapdoors above their heads...@@BlazedMCs
