- On May 18th I was invited to the premiere of Destiny 2's worldwide unveiling of gameplay. I was able play the first campaign mission of Destiny 2 on PS4. Afterward I was able to play and capture footage of the Inverted Spire Strike on PS4 as well as capture the new PvP mode of Countdown. I played the Strike and New PvP mode on both PS4 and PC but I was only allowed to capture footage on PS4. This is that footage.

JerechoNC Destiny 1 was only on console, he played it... a lot. There's no reason why he wouldn't know how to play with a controller

Yeah this looks really good. That chain gun is badass. I really like the loading animation too. Pistol is cool too. You need to learn some PvP brah.
There's an obvious upgrade in terms of illumination, but the textures doesn't look that improved in comparison. It's not bad, Destiny 1 wasn't bad graphically and it looks as fun to play

I never understood why people liked destiny so much. I'm someone who had at least a hundred hours probably a lot more clocked into the game, however I didn't play it because it was good I thought the concept of random/leveled loot in a pvp game was stupid af however all my friends played the game so even tho the game was bad it became fun with great friends... which is why I have so many hours clocked in. however I think the concept for the game is awful considering how very unbalanced the game was for most of its lifespan
I liked the art style, the lore, the world, the gameplay, the loot and activities, the PvP and playing with friends. And I spent the majority of my time playing solo. You played it to play with friends, I played it because the games as a whole appealed to me.
John Bowrey there's just better games out there that hit all those marks. Destiny is simply not special in any way. Also it's constant grind and boring replay value makes unbearable. Also the way they use and milk players for money is sinful.
What's the deal with hand cannons, why are there both primary and secondary hand cannons?
They've change the way guns work now. Instead of Primary, Secondary and Heavy, now it's Kinetic, Elemental and Heavy. Basically, primary can only be guns with no burn, Secondary can only be (but also any) guns with a burn, and, honestly, I'm not really sure what Heavy means exactly, I just know shotguns fell under that category for some reason.
TerraMantis actually they are not known as heavy weapons they are called power weapons now. I'm pretty sure they moved the shotgun sniper and fusion rifle there is because people were to good with those weapons having ammo all the time and the newer players never had a chance in More competive events like trials even with the removal of special ammo spawning on characters with the exception of sidearms people just used icebreaker and it was a massive flood of snipers and shotguns are there for pretty much the same reason because of how deadly they were in destiny 1 bungie is trying to fix the mistake and let everyone have a good experience with the game

No, they didn't allow us to capture it. Really, if you watched the reveal demonstration you didn't miss much, almost all if it was on display there.

Easiest argument to make for why the defenders are just like those who defended Bungie after Beta turned out to be right about the main game, about how Crota turned out to be shite, about how House of Wolves had no raid despite being promised to season pass holders, about how Taken King was gonna last or crap like sleeper stimulant, or even how they said they were getting rid of the grind and light leveling to entice those who quit the game because they were tired of it and told everyone they were getting a more normal leveling system only to have everyone hit level 40 within a few hours and be right back to grinding for gear, and don't get me started on RoI defenders.
That argument is that Battlefront came out AFTER Destiny and in a smaller development period and with only 1 trailer as well showed more of an improvement than Bungie did, showed they listened to all the feedback that was given by fans, and even added in a complete half of a game that was missing from the first (campaign w/ a completely fleshed out story that is more than Destiny has given). I mean you could talk about how Uncharted 1 to 2, God of War 1 to 2, Borderlands 1 to 2, Bioshock 2 to Infinite, Saints Row 2 to 3, Demon's Souls to Dark Souls, and Far Cry 3 to 4 were all done in less than 3 years and all were drastically different and improved upon the previous games AND they were on the same console generations basically. If you want to talk about games that were hamstrung by the previous generation and then breaking free just look at the difference between Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3.
I will never understand why the Destiny community continues to settle for mediocrity and barely good enough from a developer that gave them Halo and Halo 2. I realize a lot of that staff is gone but still. There is no excuse for this, and don't come at me with the whole, "this was just one slice of the game Bungie is not showing everything" excuses I've hear a thousand times. You do realize that companies actually put out crap that looks better than it's going to at these events right? Watch Dogs ring a bell? Hell all the hype videos for Destiny before it released ring a bell? That logic is what Bungie uses against you. You've played this game since 2014 on the hope that Bungie has this amazing piece of content that is going to blow everyone's socks off and their just waiting for the right time to release it. It happens before every release, I got the receipts.

Halo 2 sucks because it was basically just DLC for Halo 1. I mean come on! Same enemies and everything. Guns and vehicles were the same and why the fuck did Bungie think ANOTHER halo ring was a good idea. Seriously, the same shit all over again.

I know you are joking about Halo 2, but it actually adding tons of new mechanics to the gameplay that completely altered how vehicle and infantry gameplay worked. Destiny 2 doesn't seem to have anything that changes the game immensely.

I know I wasn't playing well, that's not in dispute. There's nothing wrong with their game. I haven't played an FPS in nearly 6 months so I was really rusty. I was just saying the reaction was a bit exaggerated.

I've never agreed with the super system in this game, everyone shouldn't be able to use their super in a match, only players with kill streaks should be rewarded their super. Also heavy ammo is not logical. Destiny has the potential for being a great pvp game, but it's constant need to appeal to noobs makes it unbalanced trash

you cant possibly aim with that thing in a close range, and this mode is a close to mid range battle. besides it takes time to shoot with precision. thats a pve weapon definitely.
venomsote look at clips of other people shooting it. just because it has a hip fire perk doesn't mean it should be used. it's really stable, and aiming is key in any fps. the reveal trailers are the only time people play like this (inaccurate and stupid) because they want to show graphics and enemy types and attacks.

This looks the exact same as the first one. If the title didn't say Destiny 2 I would have assumed it was an expansion. Same graphics, super similar UI, same movement and shooting. Meh.
1. The capture card they are using always does that on reveal games. Look at XV2 for example.
2. Its a squeal.
3. What would they change about the movement? And even then, there are still 4 months before this comes out. ANYTHING IS subject to change.
4. What would they change about how you shoot a gun? If its the one selling point Destiny has had its the gunplay.
Alex Destiny didn't have selling points lol the game was shit and only got better once you gave them another $60 for their expansions. The game was still not good even after the expansions.

I put 200 hours into the default game and it looks the same to me. Sprinting is the same, jumping is the same. Not sure what you are talking about mate.
