Gentle creatures. I have a new found love for gorillas. As much as I love animals don't know how I missed this all my life. Amazing.
These are such gentle creatures. They love the family unit.
We must protect all wildlife. They are our gifts from God. All they want is their families safely & safe habitats. To live in peace.

So much love here within this family. Such a lovely environment too for them to live in, explore, and grow up in. I wish that all zoos had the money to make their enclosures so natural with lots of space and greenery. D'jeeko is without a doubt an AMAZING father, so patient, so calm, and so playful with his offspring. He always seems genuinely happy to climbed on, have his hair pulled, and woken from naps for some quality time with the little ones. ❤️

There's a lovely gorilla family in the San Diego zoo, I saw them playing together when I last visited there. That's been twenty years, so I guess those babies may have babies of their own by now.

Great compilation video of the troop!!!!! It shows how Iriki and Tayari play with each other, their babies and D'Jeeco. Tayari's love of rain and playing with water. We even catch a glimpse of Iriki drumming. And of course the cutest babies ever!!!!
I know this is 2 years old but this little family fascinates me! I love watching them together because you can see how much they all love each other!

I agree that under ideal circumstances; it's best for animals to be free, however, all od these gorillas were born in captivity, it is all they know.

Unfortunately most of his very early years were spent wanting his mom’s love and affection. He was never cuddled. Left mostly to fend for himself. Viewers in those days were so angry at the zoo for not taking him away from her. She denied him nursing. Most times covered her breasts. Left him so frustrated and angry. I doubt if he will be a good silverback.
