    As the owner of a 21 plate SZ-L (manual) and being over 3,000 miles in... it's a cracking little car - hilarious fun to drive, definitely quicker and better to drive than figures suggest thanks to light weight - another bonus to the lack of weight is a true MPG consistently above 50 MPG, no matter how hard I drive it.

    You manage to make me watch reviews on cars I have no interest in. Kudos.

    Liked you when you were at Honest John as well. Lively review of an interesting and characterful little gem. I own a 2017 boosterjet 1.0 and its been a fantastic ownership experience so far.

    Spot on. My wife bought an SZ5 six months and loves it. And I drive when I can; it’s so much fun

    My wife has one for a year now and it's absolutely brilliant....maybe it's helped by the fact that it's a full version....anyway, it drives nice and had enough space for the weekly shopping routine

    Hi Mark, just a thought. Why doesn’t the Vanarama website appear to mention the RUclips review channel? If it did it might help to drive up the subscriber numbers.

    Keep your safety equipment Suzuki and just put a proper stereo into it....all that safety equipment does is piss you off and nanny you along the roads.

    Oh... it looks like they dropped the Attitude (with its carbon-effect trim and rear spoiler, but not with the most kit by any stretch of the imagination), and the 1.0 Boosterjet engine. That's a bit of a shame, particularly with the latter. If you're not bothered with the hybrid range, there are plenty of 2nd hand examples of the Boosterjets, however prices have rocketed everywhere thanks to extra emphasis being placed on not sharing public transport with other people, but hopefully that trend will get reversed sometime this year. Hopefully.
    That three-star rating is disappointing, and like you said, you need to pay extra for improved safety and an additional star, but even then that safety assist rating still only gets to 44%. Also, whilst it might not mean anything to most people, the insurance grouping of the base Swift is actually higher than the previous generation Swift Sport, if you can believe that. Still, they're all great on fuel and they'll probably be nice on their brakes and tyres because weight doesn't kill the whole thing - something you can't say about nearly any other car in the segment.
    One gripe I did have was with the touchscreen being rather finicky with media on a 2019 Attitude; it wouldn't play ball with a couple of USB sticks, though as far as I'm aware, popping music onto an SD card (yep, it has a slot for one above the touchscreen) seems to work just fine.

    Am I the only one who likes wind-down rear windows? The electric ones break before or later, the manual don't. I'd have them for the front windows as well, if I could option them!

    All that safety stuff on the more expensive one is aimed at people who want to spend their time looking at mobile phones and texting instead of concentrating on their driving. Good drivers don't need it.

    I really wish the “coming up next ..” would stop. I then have to guess how many 10 second skip double-taps I need to skip it and then I always go too far and miss the start. It’s very annoying and the channel doesn’t need it. It’s a c10 minute video. Always starts me on the video being a bit annoyed rather than just enjoying the content, which I really like.

    • @cinnamonrage
      @cinnamonrage 3 года назад +1

      That is to say, I really like the presenter - the problem is just that unnecessary intro.

    • @vincentmckernan68
      @vincentmckernan68 3 года назад +4

      Yep. Seems wrong of me to focus on the negative, because Mark’s videos are always great, but these intros not only add nothing of value, but detract from the enjoyment. Just ditch them, please Mark.

    • @marknichol8167
      @marknichol8167 3 года назад +1

      Hey. Cheers for your thoughts, I am listening to them. Why are the intros so annoying? Genuine question. To be honest they’re something we’re trying alongside other things to improve channel engagement because we know that for other channels they help keep viewers watching. If everyone really hates them we’ll ditch them though. Got to give the people what they want. 😁

    • @Dyrck
      @Dyrck 3 года назад +2

      @@marknichol8167 This is tricky. I suspect your regular viewers don't need the up next as we know we are going to have a lovely time, whereas new viewers may be lured in by them. Maybe do what Apple TV+ do and give us a skip intro button?

    • @vincentmckernan68
      @vincentmckernan68 3 года назад +2

      Thanks for acknowledging this, Mark. I can only speak for myself, but these intros seem unnecessary to me, because your videos are only 10-15 minutes long, so I don’t feel the need for a heads up. You also tend to ruin some of your punchlines because you’ve already given them away at the start.
      But then, this is from the point of view of someone who knew you from your Honest John days, so I know what to expect from your videos. If these intros help you get new subscribers, then fair enough.
