Better than that in a lot of cases. I had one with 697k and it ran like a top, but the rust was just too much. It was a 2004 E150(4.6) purchased from hertz with 35k on it.
That’s exactly what’s in the modern econolines. I actually see them relatively frequently at the dealer I work at. Enough that it’s not really noteworthy when we see them.
Yeah that's exactly what's in them. Except they are detuned and ain't the same. Same for ambulances, rental trucks, and other fleet vehicles. Oh and it's not a 10r80 in them either. It has 6 gears, idk if it's the 6r80, I don't think it is
I think around fourth grade my bus driver got a brand new bus. And that brand new bus smell literally lasted for years. Even in sixth grade, actually even an eighth grade I had her again as a bus driver and that same smell was still there. Like brand new leather. I don’t think it was a Cincy thing either because it was smelt super genuine it was literally a brand new bus it was amazing
Where I live, Perth, Australia, we got delivered a brand new Scania Touring school bus, it’s a motorcoach but used as a school bus just like all our large school buses. Our small school buses are Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa, Toyota Coaster, Yutong D7 and Toyota HiAce.
One of my first cars was an old Econoline Club Wagon I converted as a cargo van. It had glass all around but I removed all the seats and patched up the holes in the floor pan. I forgot the year, I think it was like an '89 or '88 or something.
Wouldn't have noticed that much they all look the absolute same it be nice if they eliminated the steps or something make it a walk in like all city buses
Virtually every class c RV is either e350 or e450 and is just barely upgraded to have power windows and the RV manufacturer might also put in their own deck for sure with rear/side cameras
a 2024 vehicle with features from 1999 😂 atleast add some creature comforts for the bus driver like heated seats, massaging because they sit in the bus their entire shift. and apple carplay, etc,. it has nothing to suggest that it's a 2024
Hey clawboss i have a question if you could put it in the next video I saw some old international school bus and it had a PA speaker on the side of the bus on the outside why are those there for?

What’s even more interesting is that this van dates back to 1992 with minor refreshes through the years

Shame they killed the Econoline and replaced it with the Euro vans. The early 2000's Econolines were good for 500,000 miles.

Ford should bring back the econoline van with a Godzilla V8.
The 7.3 godzilla is the only engine option for the e series chassis

You see small city buses with this front too. Not full size buses but the Paratransit ones.
All 3 big auto makers need a pick up like this
Tried and failed 20 years ago. Kodiak, F650, only Dodge didn't make one. International MXT

Can you talk about what your reaction about Bus crisis in JCPS in Louisville Kentucky back in last year and still issued to this day
I didn’t know Ford still made anything with manual windows. My 2007 f150 has the same crank handles. I love them.
They are super easy to fix when they break too.
What’s the song in the background?
Looks great !
Seats look SIGNIFICANTLY worse than the buses I remember
Man I havnt smelled a brand new school bus in a long time.
Hell yeah! Taking them kids to a place of learning and inspiration!
Looking sharp 🔥
Ford messed up. Chevy is still selling the Express Van. It's a great towing van too.
The Chevy is way more unreliablr6
Hope they make these forever

What's hilarious is whoever converted the van chassis into a school bus left the passenger airbag untouched.
My UPS truck has the same steering wheel and headlight knob
Looks like a short bus
Just like CTA
I also like that new smell
Equipped with air conditioning?
I assume the chassis of the new transit vans the replacement of the eco online is either not strong enough or capable enough to build a bus behind it
It's also much smaller i think

Seat belts?
