What a complete and utter b*llsh*t theory!! I HATE that this woman is promoting absolutely biased, wrong and misogynistic ideas lacking ANY scientific background, but supporting hateful communities out there! Guess what: MOST girls ARE TAUGHT to avoid ANY risks (don’t walk alone, be careful, don’t risk getting dirty or ripping your skirt/jeans) and also only the clothing changes how someone feels! In a dress with easy access to your private parts, no one feels as powerful as in jeans! There‘s a reason why the female warriors in underworld awakening or resident evil don’t wear dresses. Also, women just tend to think multiple steps AHEAD, trying to take into account the consequences of their decisions, not only for themselves, but everyone else who will be effected by it! While most men simply don’t care (as much) and are a lot more selfish usually, as you can validate by the reports of transsexual people who changed from being a woman to being a man, taking testosterone and telling everyone that they now really THINK differently, not AT ALL worrying about others as much, if at all. I really DREAD this whole interview because of this one outrageously st*p*d idea, some misogynistic immature boys of all ages will pick up (as one speaker who thinks women are a commodity that can be offered to men), quoting it as the theory of a female psychologist who believes this and add some of what they want to hear, even though she never said anything quite close to that, and try really hard turn this whole ridiculous b*llsh*t into some kind of „scientific“ idea. Guess what, ANY woman has to be at least twice as good and work three times as hard to just get ANYWHERE in this man‘s world, and I am so tired of the few extremely self-indulgent ones who think they have done somehow good in that race and now start to downgrade other woman by promoting these theories, implying THEY ARE BETTER AND DIFFERENT, as THEIR careers proof. Really this self-righteous woman makes me furious, trying to people-please men, so they will like her better, as she is not exactly the blueprint of the actual promoted ideal beauty standard, so she takes the lower road and m he s up this misogynistic theories. Dreadful, tedious, annoying and really questionable appearing in this series.
I’m in my feelings until this rain overwhelms my body and qualifies me for to get a vaccine or a booster for next nowhere too many people are dying of coronavirus so it’s definitely 👍 and it’s crazy 😝 it’s so scary 😟 but it’s worth your effort and money 💴 if it passes quickly I
As a doctor myself, I can pretty much relate to the “saving the environment job” analogy: a lot of us choose fields like surgery because we really want to help people in need and save lives, as the saying goes, but the actual working environment is oftentimes hostile and toxic and wven though we start residency with pure and noble intentiona we end up quitting or chosing a less challenging field, not because of laziness but more because of what an actual day to day life and tasks entail in that field.
I'm glad Ali said what he did at minute 35. "No one has the guide on how to live life. If it works for you, then great. If it doesn't, try something else" Context matters!
I really wish we had your channels available like say 30 years ago!! I would have saved 20 years of my life! Instead of being at my midlife, having figured all of this out the difficult way and now needing to pivot whilst holding down an intellectually challenging and time consuming job in that it requires so much dedication to master. Yes I've read the mastery book. It's amazing. Where were you 30 years ago ... uh not born yet :D well glad you are alive and sharing these videos. They are valuable for the gen z for sure!
Yes! Living in an era of instant access to life-changing information is such an amazing thing and I am so lucky to be a young adult and able to utilise from other people's life experiences with such ease!

Loved the podcast! Dr. Grace is incredible. The part about enjoying the tasks of the role really resonated with me. I quit corporate for non-profit to find greater meaning/purpose but in the end, I learned the hard way it's the daily tasks of the role that you must enjoy. Thank you for this talk:)
I see that this informative podcast was posted a year ago but the insights and the values are still relevant, especially to me where I lost myself during my career transition.
i am thinking that Why Ali needs these types of session even if he red lots of books and i know he is clear and he wants his audience also get clear perspective in life Thanks Ali !!!
I didn’t search for this video. I only came across it with RUclips’s autoplay and I’ve never been more thankful!! I felt like you read my mind with every question and her answers/mindset are exactly what I look for in self help content/books. Thanks for this video ❤️
A fantastic interview!! Usually I loathe an interview where the host spends any time talking but Ali you are a great interviewer…because you ask all the questions I want answered without raving on about yourself😁 def will be watching more!! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🌹🌹🌹🌹
Without a doubt my favourite episode so far. Great content, engaging questions/answers. Lots of valuable information and insights on behavioral science. Great work!
So enlightening. ..as someone in the genesis of my career and kind of trying to figure out which trajectory I want to take as an individual. Many thanks. ..🙏
Thank you so much for the calibre of content on your channel. I was definitely not expecting to find something this good. I hope I stay on this side of YT ❤

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode so much. Thank you so much Ali for having Dr Grace. I’ve learnt so much from this. Definitely one of those one will have to revisit sometime in the year again to relearn and revisit things
I think It's a great idea, that many people like not the particular activities, but idea about career like doctor, lawyer and act It was my mistake too and now I try to find what i actually want to DO.
Quite educational, thank you for investing your time and effort in what you are doing. Have reserved the book, will read it soon. Ali, could you please share about the music and memory research you mentioned in the end?
We are at a peak of evolution where there's so much information out there, spirituality with science can help. Try reading 'Srimad Bhagavat Geeta' not as a religious scripture but as a nerd to understand deep science behind it:)
I did my masters thesis on perceived control. The research focuses on the benefits of higher perceived control on ones environment but from personal experience I think there are drawbacks to feeling like you’re responsible more than what you actually are. I’m generally self disciplined and productive but work too hard, exercise too hard ... etc and it’s not good for your health which I’ve had to learn the hard way.
If the small tasks lead to one understanding whether or not the job, practice etc.. will be fulfilling, how would one have a notion or face reality with the continuous changes technologically, in behaviour and potentially small things that can affect us externally and internally. Change of boss, team or a new technological update that may hamper the current skills I am applying right now. I know we can't control everything but what kind of ideas, knowledge or research should we possess internally that can help with intrinsic or extrinsic factors? Loved the podcast! Just something that came up while listening. Thanks and love this :)
And actually there's uncertainty coming with lots of opportunities. It's just that we can't afford dead end twice. Again I am connecting science with spirituality that people had hard time surrendering, our decisions are based on a need to fit in or to belong somewhere. Now the music concerts are the new Churches, friends became as important as family because there's no family like before. Being indecisive is the new curse over curse of hypocrisy. But at the end transparency assures help out there we just need to be ready to seek the truth.
This has got to be one of my fav polite videos I’ve seen on RUclips ina while. I was looking for this video/topic for years and now want to go get the book. But as a suggestion, check out Dr. Helen Fisher, she’s an anthropologist in the States but she did a great Discovery Channel doc called The Science of Sex Appeal and it will change the way you feel when someone rejects you or things don’t work out (pertaining to 44:00 in the video). Science based, interesting and fun. Also, Dr. Tara Swart, I think this video and a video with Swart would really compliment each other and they have really similar facts/ideas based on scientific research
I liked the episode very much. I especially like the idea of reviewing one's days and the whole week and evaluating them in terms of goals. Which calendar tool is best suited for this?
opportunity trumps any type of negative. someone who has almost no chance in opportunity anywhere for external circumstances cannot scale no matter the endeavor
I really enjoyed this interview. I wonder if work place systems become a problem beyond enjoying tasks. I like research but academics typically are under a lot of pressure and don’t have a great work life balance which is why I’m not following a career in research. Also in medicine, I’m guessing many doctors enjoy tasks in the role but the pressure of the nhs put them off.
Hey Ali, Very nice Deep Dive. Dr Grace was excellent! And must say the content is so so good! Really liked the interview! Now a minor feedback totally based on my “not unbiased subjective view” and maybe against the tide of good comments. You are a good host, knowledgeable, and pleasant but yet I simply felt throughout the entire podcast a kind of uneasiness. The person being interviewed is simply great and it just felt you were hesitant? Not engaging in the way the conversation was going sometimes? It seems you had an invisible script that you had to follow and would pull it back to your script if the conversation deviated a bit? Just impressions, maybe I am seeing too much into this… I love structure but an interview is dynamic and it is nice when you can explore outside of the planned script. It is a balance I think, avoid the extremes of not losing the script and not going all over the place. Regardless, this is a nice initiative! Will keep watching!

That's why I chose to be a biologist, not to be a doctor. The Universities of Medicine in my country are corrupt and extremely hostile.
Same goes for a lot of other fields like teaching and nursing.
I'm glad Ali said what he did at minute 35. "No one has the guide on how to live life. If it works for you, then great. If it doesn't, try something else" Context matters!

Ali is someone who is really good at his work, it also shows he does lots of back ground work. These are gold standard podcast.👏👏
The best episode so far! Thanks for you and your team for such a good work!
Thank you Priscila - we're pleased you found the episode valuable :)

Great work!
It is also my favourite episode too.
Loved this episode so much that I have watched it twice already and I still feel like watching again.
Quality talk, thanks Ali for interviewing Dr. Grace. I wish we could have such people in Pakistan too.
No such thing is luck. There is such a thing as being aware and taking advantage of the opportunities presenting to you along with your mindset!
By far, this is my fave episode. Kudos and thank you Ali and Dr. Grace!
Love the perspective Dr Lordan gives about considering the daily ‘tasks’ of the field you want to go into. Neat way of framing it!
So enlightening. ..as someone in the genesis of my career and kind of trying to figure out which trajectory I want to take as an individual.
Many thanks. ..🙏

such an amazing woman💗
So pleased you enjoyed the interview!
Not a lot of videos are hard to watch at 1.25. This woman is deep and smart.
It’s like listening to an audio book from Audible ; so informative.
Haha it is very true. Indeed I feel listening to a book is not as good. The information there could be outdated compared to what is shared on podcast.
That was a great interview, she articulates well her thoughts giving a lot of advice.
So many insights! I am impressed! Very good questions also! Thank you 🙏
Fantastic discussion!🎉 Picking up Dr. Lordan’s book now.
Your videos are very motivating! I finally thought of a really good idea for my channel. Wish me luck!
Hey man I love your tiktoks!
Ali, thank you for this valuable discussion with Dr. Grace Lordan.
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode so much. Thank you so much Ali for having Dr Grace. I’ve learnt so much from this. Definitely one of those one will have to revisit sometime in the year again to relearn and revisit things
I love when people speak fast🎉🎉🎉 feel like i get more info in shorter time 😅❤❤❤ its easier to keep track of the information
Loved this episode. So many gold nuggets.
Dr. Grace is my new favorite person - really enjoyed this one, Ali
I think It's a great idea, that many people like not the particular activities, but idea about career like doctor, lawyer and act
It was my mistake too and now I try to find what i actually want to DO.
That was huge. Thank so much Ali and Dr Lordan, for bringing that amount of value. Keep up the good work.
one of the best episode! i love how articulate dr. grace is.
Great content Ali, I will be purchasing the book. Please do more of these 🙏
The book will be amazing and he does a good job for her then.
Thank you Ali, Grace, Angus and behind the scene related people, Raza :)
Thank you for using your time to raise awareness for important causes. Your advocacy is making a difference.
This is the most impressive I have ever seen. Very informative and thought provoking. We should teach this more in school and management trainings.
I really liked the conversation and the great part is Ali you are being you
Quite educational, thank you for investing your time and effort in what you are doing. Have reserved the book, will read it soon. Ali, could you please share about the music and memory research you mentioned in the end?

Will definitely add this book to my reading list !
Ali's interview skills have gotten so good!!
Very insightful content... I was encouraged to begin reading the book Think big.
Thank you so much
This will be an interesting listen. Thanks for the upload. Also, who qualifies to be interviewed? All heroes don't wear caps.
I need to rewatch this.
So much valuable & wise knowledge listening to this conversation xx
It was truly an insightful conversation! Loved every bit of it! ❤️❤️
I'm currently reading Atomic Habits and many concepts are similar to what is discussed here.
If the small tasks lead to one understanding whether or not the job, practice etc.. will be fulfilling, how would one have a notion or face reality with the continuous changes technologically, in behaviour and potentially small things that can affect us externally and internally.

Yes. *BUT CULTURE* massively impacts comfortability and productivity and inspiration for actually wanting to be on that job.
Can you also provide subtitles. Btw loved this.
