Still having mouse aim (NOT right analog stick) with the ability to use perfect left and right movements as analog inputs felt ridiculously easy strafing and slide hopping and removes that skill gap between actual controller and m/kb movement

Having to buy a specific, nonstandard keyboard to get on the leader-boards is exactly what the ban was in spirit trying to stop. There is a big difference between needing a specific console to go for the world record, and needing a specific keyboard and mouse. If another pass is made at the wording of this ban, defining what a standard keyboard and controller are should be fairly high up with the realization that things like the wooting 1 exists.

I'm not a speed runner by any means, but as someone who played the game extensively with both controller and keyboard, I can attest to the fact that controller feels more smooth to move with. I'm not sure which one I would be faster with though.
True, and you can change the response curve, shrink the active radius, modify the deadzone, etc. You could easily make it feel like digital controls while still technically being analog-to-analog
After watching this video and realizing why I prefer this game with a controller, I finally said fuck it and started playing it with the controller in my left hand and mouse in my right. I gotta say, its a significantly easier control scheme than I expected and definitely feels very fast and fluid. Hopefully i can get some runs on pace someday and people attempt this bizarre but weirdly confortable control scheme

Unfortunately, no. Any sort of digital -> analogue emulation is now banned for leaderboard runs. You're obviously still welcome to do runs using this input method and share them with us on our discord, but they won't be verified on the leaderboard. Sorry for the late response.
I'm on a xbox one with a series 2 elite and I CANNOT learn to air strafe. I cant rap my head around it. How do you learn this what do you practice or where. I want to be good at it but I just cant figure it out.
Well he is on a PC on doing Air starfing is much more difficult on PC rather than on any Console u have an Xbox One Elite 2 Series controller and still u can't learn Air Strafing wait did u learned Bunny hopping first do that only than u can do Aur Strafing on your Controller and if u still can't than u are the dumbest console player that I have ever seen in my life .
