- Alright, since I'm still waiting for the warzone mobile game to update for the iPad Pro M4, I decided to go ahead and test both the FPS performance for the iPad Pro M4 and M2. Here we can get a direct comparison and indication of just how much power the M4 has over the M2 Chip. With that being said, both devices are set with the same graphic settings and I will also make sure to display the graphical settings and resolution on the screen during testing. Could you compare the performance of the M2, M4, and ROG Ally with maximum graphics settings and without MetalFX (at native resolution), and also don't forget to include battery consumption?

@@HosakaBlood i believe that was CPU, so more photo and video editing would show that. GPU intense task of over 20% is pretty good
@HosakaBlood yeah M4 is mostly around 25% faster and at times can get up to 30% faster. I think with future updates we will see a solid 30% performance improvement across the board, just as the M2 got better with updates. But yes, the M4 is definitely not 2x faster.

Im just impressed by both of these devices are abel to run RE Village and RE4 wich is kinda hard to run even for mid range pcs. Its really damn impressive
Yes and no. Re Engine is really easy to run , especialy at that resolution
Even base PS4 from 10 years ago run these games at 1080p / 60 target if i remember correctly
But i would love to see how the M4 plays these in a Macbook. Cuz these games looked better on macbook compared to my Ipad at the exact same settings
@@Joaaaaaaaaaaa Think ps4 version of these games have been really hard to make for devs with such low cpu power i think they cut down allot of stuff in the backround to save recources but i could be wrong. You need a pretty good pc to enjoy RE4.
@@prizixz i mean, a 3060 laptop can get you around 80 fps at 1080p everything maxed out
If you lower some settings (And you wont see the difference) you would almost get to 120fps !
Even on 2060/3050/4050 laptops you can easily play at 1080p with decent settings

In France the 13" with 512gb is around 1800€ and the 1to 2300€.
You can basicaly get a I9 + RTX 4070 laptop / or a I9 + RTX 4080 for this price

Waiting for the Warzone Mobile test to see the FPS count and average FPS when overheating between the M2 and M4. I hope you do a stress test.
My guess is that m4 will get around 65-75 fps at peak. Especially since in both Genshin, RE4, and Village the M4 only has a 25% performance improvement.
@@DameTech We want to see that in action because, at high settings (not peak), you may get around 100-120 FPS at the start of a match when the device is cool. However, after 2-3 minutes, the FPS starts to drop on the M2 chip. We want to see how it will perform on the M4 chip.

At switch 2s best it'll be as efficient or slightly worse/better than a steam deck. Switch isn't getting the latest or greatest of anything lol they lag behind to keep an affordable price point

I just wanna say that i was in high school when ipads first arrived, and this is honestly incredible today. Im sure it gets warm, and the battery probably goes quick, but still impressive. I know these are the high end models, but they got my attention. M4 at 60fps. Dear @Apple , Please make dual wrist bands that recognize our hand geustures as controller inputs lol. There you win the gaming market. Please and thank you.

No, but I’m assuming the issue is stemming from the nano textured screens. It did look grainy when I saw it in-person at the store

Does performance in either of these games degrade over time due to thermal throttling? Or is this kind of performance sustained for longer sessions?
M2 iPad will drop performance overtime, but since this test was like a total of 25 minutes there was no throttle. But even still, the performance downgrade is very minor on the iPad M2 due to temps still remaining below 40c. The iPad Pro M4 will give you no throttle and the best battery. despite performance being around 20-25% better, I can definitely tell the chip can output more performance but held back by Apple's software and lack of optimization from game devs. In the future, definitely expect better performance gains on the M4.

Metal HUD is slightly more accurate. Perfdog works as well. However, it's limited to only working when plugged. For android on the other hand, it works wireless.

It's all about the Chip, Bionic is way ahead of Snapdragon in terms of Higher Clock Speed and Graphics (GPU) , Snapdragon Uses Adreno for the GPU and it lacks in the practical graphics processing in the Games that we usually play.

That's a restriction placed on the iphone version.
