- okay so where do i start lol
i actually wanted to watch a new historical drama while waiting for the legends to be subbed and this one was recommended so i gave it a try. i knew from the title that this would be sad but i didn't expect it to be THAT sad ;;
first i read that everyone said the ML was bad but i didn't think he would be like VERY bad. Since Xiao Feng & 'Gu Xiao Wu' seemed soooo happy together i thought okay maybe he wont betray her after all but then the wedding happened and i cried for 4 eps straight... I felt so much pain for XF (Peng Xiao Ran really did a good job at portraying XF's feelings btw) she didn't deserve ANY of this too bad she was too naive & everyone used her :((
I hate that our ML is so bad but he's the ML so what can we do...(+ they have so much chemistry together it's impossible to not ship). Although he became more likeable after they forgot everything, he's still despicable at times when he's pretending to hate her & all. But you can see he loves her that's why you hate him but love him at the same time ;;
anyway i saw so many spoilers & previews of the next eps & i'm already getting ready to cry because it's going to get depressing again...
oh i'm also so mad they delete some scenes i know it's because of china's strict ban on literally everything but these were the cutest scenes (& also the kiss scene we all waited for!!)
this song was the first that came to my mind when i looked for a song to edit it's literally their relationship lol

Even though I hated the ending, I understand their love. She loved him so much that she knew if she died, he would too. So she made him promise to "live well."
His great grandmother was right. Xiofeng loved him as Gu Xiaowu, not his position. That's how he knew her love for him was pure.
One thing for sure Cheng Yin was the Antagonist and Protagonist in this drama. The struggle for power, he needs to hurt Xiao Feng over and over again to keep her safe against the plot of Prime Minister and the Empress.
I hate and love LCY cause he dare to hurt her even though he knows she will hate him big time and just to keep her safe he can be ruthless. Destiny is in wrong timing for the two of them😔

this drama is beautiful. you should def watch it. It may look bad bcuz of all the tragic things but this shows love. Love is a way you won’t notice. The story plot is sooo good. This will leave you crying.

Li Cheng Yin treats everyone well but Xiao Feng
Chengyin is complicated. He treated other people well because he was just using them, but he treated xiaofeng like trash because he was protecting her.

In fact he used her from the very beginning... that's why he could never atone for his sins.
i think she does know that he has some feeling for her, but she doesn't know if its exactly love

Chinese dramas are so hard to make fmvs for I feel like because they almost always have soo many episodes are very long, which is both curse and a blessing 😂also they usually have no subs for most 哈哈, but this looks so great, good work💕💕

Li Cheng yin, sure he can’t be considered an evil male character as he was only doing this for the sake of their future but he neglected their present . Xiaofeng really didn’t deserve all of this , witnessing her whole family dying and crumbling due to the one she loves, resorting to killing her self to get away from the pain, being unsuccessful and then brought to a new place completely unaware of what has happened , falling in love and witnessing the one she loves love another, remembering all the tragedy and being conflicted , and last but not lest being successful in killing herself at the end as she sees no way out. There’s many people who blame Xiaofeng for being so naive, but she grew up so sheltered and I feel like her naivety came from that. LCY on the other hand has had to fight since day one . So I really can’t sympathize with LCY no matter what anyone says. I only see XF and her pain .
Xiaofeng not a sheltered princess. Shes always on the prarie sometimes causing troubles when Shoubo run after her. She ran away when her father ask her to marry the crown prince of Li Empire. Thats why Gu Jian always with her to protect her while in the fields. She never thinks about the fuss it make to her father. I dont think shes that naive shes just stubborn have a mind of her own and reckless. But despite of it i love them both
He definitely would be considered a villain protagonist I think. Which is a good thing.
Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be seeing villains in lead roles like this after this drama. China’s government is super strict about presenting “morals” in fiction. I’m surprised they even let this tv show air considering Li Cheng Yin’s character playing a main role. Honestly he was more of the main character than Xiao Feng-he was so active in the plot line.
@@saqweq which is a pity, even though I don’t like LCY but I understand the complexity of his character. He’s probably one of the only male lead besides the king in the king’s woman who wanted both power and love at the same time but knew he had to make some sacrifices for a better future and he almost succeeded but karma gets to him first. He was an interesting scheming protagonist who doesn’t just idles around and get into the trap of harem women but he knows how to play everyone both in court and in love. He’s basically an analogy of Lord Shen had he stayed in Gongman city.

Best acting, best chemistry, best couple, best feelings conveyed, best drama and impossible love/hate relationship. Such amazing two actors, I loved them both and wish I could see them together in another drama again. The Buddhist monk told them, they're fate was tied together but not to force anything but he kept forcing her. Perhaps, if he had let her go, eventually she would had forgiven him. It was clarified that the second crown prince perpetrated the murder/attack on the first crown prince but never brought up the third prince's mistake in attacking Feng's family tribe. Probably needed to happen anyway for his chance at becoming crown prince and avenging the murder of his mother.

How much I want them to have a happy ending is how much this series hurts, maybe in an alternative universe XF and LCY can have HE. But seriously they both need therapy, individually and as a couple.

I just watched previews and I think they gonna have a tragic ending. Clip showed that she jump from the city gate (suicide). I hope she somehow survives but honestly she didn’t deserve all of this. Witnessing love one getting killed for the sake of greed, jealousy and power. TRAGIC. I hope XF has a happy ending because she deserve one. Or even if she successfully commits suicide, at least she at peace now.
