In fairness, if a silver league player only needs to macro with 0% focus on anything else, they can punch way above their weight. No distractions, no multitasking, just complete focus on the macro.
I'm not saying this to diminish the games in any way - I love this idea and Marc you're my favorite person to watch play SC2 because of your mix of skill, commentary/interaction with the audience and just overall vibe and fun level! GGs.

I think you underestimate the degree to which macro fails when people try to micro alot at lower levels. I diamond player trying to micro reapers like uThermal did here would probably have low bronze levels of macro during that time.

I definitely understand how this is harder than playing normal. Trying to mind read what your teammate is thinking or planning takes more focus than just going into autopilot. I think the term is "two headed giant" they spend energy arguing so they are less effective than a one headed giant

You should do more like this was really fun. Maybe a tournament where pro players get a random silver league player.

A showmatch tournament with this format would be very funny, especially if commentators played it straight.

You know what I discovered today. Lowko is the one with the odd Dutch accent. Both harstem and uThermal sound similar, Lowkow is the odd one out.
Also super fun to watch. TY.

You need yo make this a series.... and kudos to IamSerral, that was good sim city, and management, i have the same issue, as im either really good at Macro, or really good at Micro... i perfer macro as well as our boi-yo, and its gratifying to see that my own skills (im ranked 4th in gold) are practical if paired with a good partner.

This was amazing! Could you do the same but reverse the rolls (you macro and the other person micro)? I think it would be very painful but hilarious

I wish there was a way to just play this way as a learning tool. Matches where you can only macro and you have to learn how to glean info from scouting, and timings, without getting distracted by micro stuff, and matches where you have no control over what you get and have to adapt to the different kinds of units. It would flatten the game's learning curve by a ton.
