    I live in an huge apartment complex and people ring my doorbell starting at 4:30 am, and they ring it at other early morning hours. Someone else has been signing for my packages, others (though probably the same person, neighbor) has been taken my packages on a regular basis before I can even get to my door. I finally got sick of this and got the Ring doorbell Pro. The instructions weren’t real clear that came with it. This video helped me a great deal. Thank you!

      Wow that is horrible to hear, hopefully the Ring doorbell helps act as a deterrent. If it doesn't perhaps installing a motion-based floodlight camera is another good option on top of having the doorbell pro. Glad the video was helpful, thanks for watching : )

    So, between this one and Reolink Video Doorbell WiFi, wich one you recomend? I wish to not pay for monthly subcription plan.

    • @DemCrumblies

      I prefer the Reolink Doorbell because it has 24/7 continuous recording and you can pull it up a large monitor or TV if you download the Reolink software.

      @@DemCrumbliesYeah, this is the one i wanted from the first time, just wanted to hear another opinion. I live in Bucharest, Romania, and for me is a little difficult for a subscription plan so reolink was my first option, the problem is i live in a block building with 10 floors, and i dont know if this can connect with my old doorbel, is a simple one from my fusses panel, above the door, but i guess i will call and electrician to mount this for me, i dont want to plugin this. Thank you very much.

      @@MARYOLIONHEART Yes, sorry, I am not good at advice about electrical use, so it's a good idea like you said to get an electrician in case they have to adapt older wiring for the doorbell. Good luck, I hope you can get a discount when you buy your Reolink Doorbell.

      I don't believe it's intended to be used with a phone's mobile hotspot, but you'd have to ask Ring support to be 100% certain.

    • @DemCrumblies

      This was my first Ring doorbell, so I can't say how the Ring 4 compares, but if you don't really have an issue with the 4, might as well keep using it until it breaks.

    how long will the battery last if I do no have it connected to a charger?

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  6 месяцев назад +1

      It's really difficult to say because it will depend on how busy the area is in front of the doorbell, how sensitive you set it, low, medium, high, if you draw a detection area, if you set it frequent detections, etc. I didn't notice that Ring mentioned estimated battery life either on their site. Best thing would be to buy a 2nd battery from Ring, so that you can quickly swap out batteries so you have no downtime.

      @DemCrumblies  3 месяца назад +1

      Hmm that's strange, what does the signal strength show in the ring app? Strong signal? Also this might sound strange, but what happens if you switch the connection to 2.4ghz on the ring doorbell? 2.4 has more range over 5, but it sounds like range shouldn't be an issue if the router is just behind the wall. You can also try to clear the ring app cache to see if that does anything. Lmk how it goes.

      Does your green battery icon look like mine with a lightning bolt in the middle of it like shown in this part of the video? ruclips.net/video/Fwh5RUVSP_Y/видео.htmlsi=aGdgsxsfAXoDhTXA&t=561
      If you don't see the lighting icon, then it means it isn't actively charging. If it is charging but the battery life is decreasing, you may have to adjust some app settings, such as setting the motion frequency to a lower setting so it doesn't detect as frequently. You can also turn off pre-roll or bird's eye view to see if that helps.

    • @diegocogno1972
      @diegocogno1972 5 месяцев назад

      @@DemCrumblies The battery icon is there, it's green, but not with the lightning bolt. Like it wasn't wired. Instead it is wired and I tested the power supply before installing it. I don't know why, there is a green battery icon and it's already down to 82% but it won't charge

    How the battery last.? I have to charge every month.?

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  2 месяца назад

      Hi @victorsal421, if you plan on hardwiring it so it can keep the battery topped up, you will likely not have to charge it every month depending on the recording settings and motion detection sensitivity that you choose. If you do not hard wire it, it's possible you may have to charge it monthly depending on the settings you choose. A better option if you choose to use it without hardwiring would be to buy an additional battery, then you can quickly swap batteries to have minimal downtime.

      Hey @Laura-Dawn, if I remember correctly, it can take between 5 to 10 hours to fully charge: ring.com/au/en/support/articles/t1z26/Charging-the-Battery-for-Ring-Video-Doorbells After it fully charges and you insert it into the doorbell, it will only stay topped up if you hardwired the doorbell during installation. If you didn't hardwire, then you'd have to swap batteries each time one gets low.
