Dealing with cheaters is just like parenting, you simply deal with the wrong behavior immediately. The longer you wait to correct the behavior, the more the child (aka "athletes") continue the bad behavior without fear of consequence. CrossFit has enabled the bad behavior like the parent who never corrects their children. Further, every coach and athlete who enables cheating, including shorting movements and rep is guilty too. Stop making excuses and start calling everyone, from the top athletes to those who are just starting, out on improper movement standards and rep-shaving. It's a plaque that can only be stamped out by people having integrity for themselves, their gym and the community as a whole. In fact, I equate it to the same as when I was a competitive golfer, where if a person cheats on their score or their reps, then I'd never, ever do business with them, as they've shown me all I need to see of their integrity or lack thereof.

Think about it, we all occasionally flub up the rep count, but moves like that make it easier. You are spot on! People doing garbage reps or messing up the count aren't necessarily cheating they are just dumb. BUT its the whiteboard that promotes the garbage reps. If a person shaves reps but have no interest in competing with others in the gym, then it doesn't matter. The problem is when the rep shaver logs their score and clicks the Rx button. And then the Open comes around and they are nowhere to be found on the leader board. LOL
Everyone has shaved reps unintentionally on a metcon here and there but it’s the repeat offenders (no matter where they are in the leaderboard) that is SOOOO annoying. This newer guy at my gym logged a workout yesterday at about 40 reps higher in a 12 min AMRAP than everyone else😂 his score was deleted
Some people forget to count, its amazing! Most people balance having a good time and working out You cant force them to do it your way? they dont care, neither should you.
Since you referred to the coach/owner, I assumed that you were referring to the affiliate setting. But it seems you’re more focused on the Competition side of things. In the affiliate setting, of course, depending on the situation, there are a number of different strategies and likely many different strategies that you would utilize in order to deal with a rep shaver. To assume that there is, and should only be, one way to deal with rep shavers is to ignore the nuances and the variability in human behaviour. Now, maybe you address all this, but I stopped watching the video after steroids and fake weights. In my personal opinion, all cheating in sports should be dealt with via penalties.

I just try to beat these guys doing the reps correctly. Gives me a goal and chip on my shoulder to perform better and still beat them. Does drive me crazy on the back squat when guys count a big weight doing a half-squat. Again, just motivates me to beat them doing a "real" back squat. And then the Open comes around and they are nowhere to be found on the leader board. LOL
Is this about David hippensteel again?
Am I the only subscriber to this channel that has no interest in crossfit but only watches for the entertainment? 😂
Hot Chow!
I heard they heard twirkee not burpee
Did I say that!
@@hillerfit 🤔🤔no, but it looked like one.
Have you ever worked out next to someone who asks what rep youre on lmao
Oh yeah. And I’ve asked. But that’s always been a how far are you / can I catch you ask
Some people forget to count, its amazing! Most people balance having a good time and working out You cant force them to do it your way? they dont care, neither should you.
like when Lazar asked Panchik which lap they were on during the MTB event?
Bitcoin fixes this.
How?
Hippensteel didn't cheat he just inspired.
I’m going to start telling babies do a burpee
What’s up with all these cute F’in babies!!!
Andrew you’re just too toxic, why be a killjoy 😂
Actually could not agree more.
First comment.
🦇🦇🦇 always
conversate?????? - I think the word you are looking for is "converse"
Andrew your one minutes rant at the end is dead on - just try - quit making excuses - 20 minutes of suck a day will make the rest of your life so much better.
Speegle’s cake is a blessing Hiller. 🧁🧁
