So I've now completed this game start to finish, mesmerized by how bad it looked. This game was an absurd experience, but I genuinely enjoyed myself almost the entire time. This game is bad. REALLY bad. Literally everything about this game on every level is doing something fundamentally wrong that no competent designer would ever let themselves get away with. And yet...there's something genuinely fun about it. There's something actually kind of thrilling in experiencing this game for yourself and watching everything from the soundtrack, to the graphics, to the narrative fall to pieces as the game is constantly trying to figure out what it wants to be in life, until the game ends and we're still not entirely sure what it set out to accomplish. Thank you for translating this. This is probably the worst RPG ever made, but it is far from the least enjoyable.
I ended up beating this a few days ago too, and yeah, it's hilariously bad, but definitely enjoyable. Helps that it's far from the worst playing RPG. Definitely awkward and clunky, but it actually functions and isn't overly frustrating like Hoshi wo Miru Hito is. I also honestly had a soft spot for the cast of characters, they had some fun and goofy moments, and some ideas presented in the story and Drama CD are actually pretty interesting. I actually decided to start a remake for fun in RPG Maker 2003, and though I doubt I'll finish it, I at least wanna make a small demo of what could be done in a remake like that.
I am enlightened. Seeing this game has made me open my eyes to the truth of this world- and making it available in English will help spread that truth so much further. You do a God's work with this translation. And if I ever understand which God, I'd probably break down and cry.
No clue if this game gonna get any "fan" improvements XD but yeah... a nicer remix ost might help, and other things. But yeah... kinda looks like a first timer RPG Maker in 3D on the ps1, but they forgot to add in other sound effects and gotten abit lazy other places.
You can actually hear what the songs were supposed to sound like since they released a soundtrack, so it's probably easy to change the in-game songs to that But why would you deprive yourself of the uh... Auditory art this has
They says that it was an a competitor for FFVII. No, this cannot be. I won't say, this game it's bad, but FFVII it's a Super Game and very well done to compare, very memorable. This Antient Rome isn't, it seems like another PSX Rpg's fillers from the system. Thats all. But thank you anyway, and now this lost title it's ready for to play today !!!!!!

Final Fantasy VII? Chrono Cross? Nah, give me the real deal.
