    Your solo backpacking adventure in the Eastern Sierra sounds incredible! The way you described the climb up Bishop Pass, the serenity of the Chocolate-Ruwau Trail, and the breathtaking views of alpine lakes really paints a vivid picture. It must have been a magical experience, especially camping by Long Lake with the panoramic Sierra views and the starry night sky. I love how your trip captured the solitude and raw beauty of the wilderness. I’m sure anyone who loves exploring nature would be inspired by your journey! Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures.

    I did it three years ago. And then the JMT over Muir Pass.
    Most scenic hike of my life.

    PEAK is hands down the best backpacking meals in my opinion. Half the sodium, double the flavor. Thanks for the video on this rainy winter day in Nor Cal. I also took your advice and bought the Alps Mountaineering 0 degree bag. I am a die hard fan of KUIU gear but just couldn't beat the price!

    One of my favorite places. I’ve been there several times. One of your drone shots at the beginning went over one of my campsites tucked in at the edge of Long Lake.

      As I continued to watch, you camped in the same spot we did, when the lake was frozen. It’s a lovely spot.

    Was this in July of 24? I literally discovered all the Eastern Sierra trails because of you! I’ve hit most of the bucket list trails in the past almost 2 years. For sure hitting up Choco lakes this summer & Kearsarge Pass.

    Just curious if that first lake on the trail was Sabrina. I haven't seen it that full in a long time. If so, glad to see the levels are up.

    • @Sheety33
      @Sheety33  2 дня назад

      The first lake is South Lake, near Lake Sabrina. I was very happy to see the water level this high after about 5-years of below average levels.

    That island at Long Lake looks like it'd be a great tent site. "Needs more salt"... not something you'd normally hear about a MH meal. :)

      @Sheety33  2 дня назад

      Anyone have an ultralight canoe / boat I can use to get to that island? Yes, I couldn't believe it needed more salt!!!

    posted January 31, 2025, surprised that your video doesn't show a lot of snow up there right now. Just kidding actually, but it would be real nice to know when this trip took place. Almost all of the many hiking videos that I watch on the Eastern Sierra never post a date of their trip...not sure why.
