For many fish videos, I listen to them while working or driving. I HAVE to watch your videos with my full attention because your editing, narration, and engaging content deserves it.
Haha, I have channels like that too! My "podcast" channels and my "must watch with my full attention because of all the visuals" channels... Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy many more in the future. :)
I’m expecting a freezing rain storm today and possible power outages….Great idea about putting a betta in a breeder basket! I have three tanks and only two battery operated air pumps, so combing two tanks into one will really help.
You slayed that Blair Witch intro! I know this was scary for you, but you lucked out with only losing power for 3 hours. I remember earlier this year LifeWithPets lost power for days and Sheila put battery powered air pumps on every tank.
We had thiis happen last night. We had generator but it had been on since morning and died. So we did towels on top of both tanks and we lowered water level in crayfish tank and in the neon tetra tank we poured water like 75 times thsn rested for 15minutes and we had tin cans around tanks with tea lights and we heated water on grill and added in glass spaghetti Jars or plastic bottles to tanks when all tea lights used up. Was out from 6pm to 3pm next day, but everyone survived, and now I'm going to sleep finally . And we are ordering the backup supplies mentioned in your video. Thanks.
So glad I subscribed to your channel. This popped up on my feed and we're expecting a surprise ice storm. Just in case I think I'll be going back to pet smart for some of those battery filters.
Awesome job! Very well put together...greas t reminder too as most of us with MTS are likely to forget to buy extra supplies for those added tanks! So glad your outage was brief :)!
So sorry I missed your comment somehow! Yes, I think that was the biggest takeaway I learned: don't forget to get more supplies for my ever growing collection of tanks! 😂
I was waiting and wishing that you'd tackle on how to reduce pressure on overhead filters. Maybe you could help me out or give me a bit of advice on how I can reduce it. Btw, I love your videos and advices! Keep it up! I subscribed to your channel :)
For sure! Are you talking about hang-on-back filters? I've got a whole video on reducing filter flow, so hopefully you'll find it useful. :) ruclips.net/video/GkzZKjcFzA4/видео.html (P.S. Thank you so much for the subscribe!)
@@GirlTalksFish Not really. It's the filter with a submersible machine with the filter on top. You're welcome! You deserved to be followed. Nice videos and I am starting to learn more from your videos!
@@kneil28 Oh! I looked it up and I've called that type of filter an "overhead sump" in the past but it's the same thing. Depending on how fast the flow is, you can definitely block the output with some craft mesh, connect it to a DIY spray bar, put decor or a soap dish underneath the outflow, etc. Check out the video I linked for more ideas. Hope this helps!
@@GirlTalksFish I'd definitely watch the link you provided. I appreciate your help and I hope you are having a wonderful day today! Glad I watched your videos!
Great content and very well presented in an engaging way. I have watched a LOT of fish care videos and run 8 tanks right now - please keep up the great work. I am going to go research generators!!
Thank you so much! Yes, I'm looking into generators too and it looks like a) I need to get some kind of hookup to the power box outside so that I don't have to run power cords out the window and b) I need to find a way to store fuel to run it!
I’m sorry I think that was a awful and tasteless intro I have family in Texas that was really impacted from that winter storm I couldn’t even watch this video because that intro hurt then you have the ordasity to pop up and say I’m just kidding basically like the world is already going thru enough and you make it like a joke so so so horrible I don’t think I can watch another one of your videos 😡

😂🤣😂 BEST INTRO EVER!!!!!!
Lol, I'm so glad you think so! I was thinking, "This will either be hilarious or no one will recognize the reference and it totally flops." 😜

Yikes! I'll have to find that episode. Yeah, this little outage is giving me a little time to better prepare for next time. 😨

Eee, good luck and stay warm! Praying the power doesn't go out for ya and you don't have any fish losses.
The intro is too relatable 😭
Loved the mid week video!!! I never thought about what to do in case of a power outage, great tips!!! Thanks
I know, right? Never knew fish could be so high-maintenance. :P
The Intro OML😭😂
Haha too bad my Halloween video this year isn't as scary 🎃

Lol! Loved it. We recently had a three day outage that affected a bunch of my clients
Eek, what did you end up doing for all the clients?
It all worked out. I try to keep all of the tanks as balanced as possible. Fortunately it was warm. It was a long week of catch up though.
I can only imagine. 😨
4 days no power. Goodbye oscars😭

Master intro
My corals and fish died from texas power outage.
good content video
Thank you! I know the topic has been covered several times, but hopefully people will enjoy the spooky Halloween twist. :P

I finally put up the money to go out and buy a generator. Keep it in the shed with a tank full of gas and stabilizer.
Yes! You're ahead of the game and your fish will thank you for it. :)
