The issue is that in a fully industrialized economy 80-90% of the population are effectively useless, but we have to figure ut something for them to do during the day and make sure they don't starve. Socialism/communism is radically unfair to the productive and pure free market would just mean that billions would starve so we a society are trying to find a compromise.

At some point he was streaming entire seasons of Hell’s Kitchen, unbelievable how he doesn’t get sued.
He's a bread winner, Twitch made sure he wasn't. He does a lot of shit he shouldn't do. He breaks TOS all the time. He sits there and harasses his own audience, malicious brigades people, encourages his audience to go after people and he'll sometimes just leave for upwards of an hour at a time while a video is playing. In fact it's sort of a Meme. "Twitches # 1 streamer" and then it's literally just a picture of his chair. IT's very unprofessional, but what do you expect from a commie-kid?

I don't even use the platform anymore, I was literally attacked by two streamers (Criken and Gameszjohn) for having right-wing views on things.
For Cricken I said it was stupid evil races don't exist anymore in DnD, a bunch of his Autistic Chat started to dogpile unto me and one of his Janitors timed me out, not them.
Gamezjohn was pushing super far-left garbage that no one who was watching him asked for. I said I don't agree with anything he said, He turned downright toxic. He couldn't convince me, so he instead just sat there and berated me.
There was another dude before I spoke up that asked him just to play the game, that he wasn't interested in his politics and Gamezjohn freaked out big time. Started raging, calling him every name he could, encouraged the chat to dogpile on the guy, took his name and information and told the other streamers he works with to ban the guy.
It was incredibly unprofessional. There are one or two streamers that I do like, but I only watch their RUclips Vods. I refuse to use Twitch. If RUclips Vod watching isn't enough for them, O'well. It's not my fault they signed onto a shitty, toxic platform.

They protect the workers and keep them from getting exploited. I'm a total capitalist, but even I understand the importance of the protections afforded to the workers by unions. The greed of corporations and 1%ers should never be underestimated.

I've literally watched our long videos of Hasan reacting to things without realizing it was a reaction. There'd just be an empty chair in the corner for 15 minutes And then he'd show up and argue with the chat that he was watching in the other room on his phone.

This whole strike is so funny. Their jobs are gig based, meaning they have to produce a good script that netflix wants to buy in order to get paid for writing a script. Theyre talentless so cant produce a good script so netflix keeps passing, so theyre striking because netflix should pay them for being writers even if they cant write anything good enough
Well it’s more to do with Netflix and other streaming platforms gyping people out of royalties that they could’ve gotten from TV syndication. Like Jennifer Aniston and Larry David became multimillionaires on that model and now streaming platforms have used legal loopholes to essentially skirt around that (because ‘streams’ aren’t reruns). These executives and CEOs make grotesque money and many writers now can’t even afford their studio apartments anymore. So I get the point of the strike…. It’s just a shame the people spearheading it are cringe. Also you and Mike are correct that the particularly good writers are usually pretty financially successful. The issue in that sense is these platforms create so much disposable content now that writers are essentially devalued. So it’s either go back to making less content(meaning they’re all out of work-now only the best or most consistent/marketable writers will get work) or continue pumping out endless content (and get paid less because it’s not a unique gig to have anymore-and this amount of content means they can afford to have more writers ). It’s a complex situation, really. Writing in Hollywood is still really hard to break into, but it’s also not quite as special anymore and is definitely more oversaturated. Not to mention, ironically, creators like Hasan have totally devalued writers by turning more peoples’ attention to unscripted (or scripted but short) online content which is proving much more lucrative.

I was gonna tell you to eat a fat one, then I remembered my rent was jacked up 150 extra at the beginning of 2022 and another 150 this year and they took landscaping away even though it was part of the lease agreement. This country can burn 🤷🏽♂️
@@sgt.lincolnosiris4111 yeah in my country that'll get the landlord a massive fine and they would have to pay you every cent of rent you paid above the original lease you signed (if they had broken the contract). That's why landlords here don't fuck with tenants unless the tenant isn't paying rent or is damaging the property, they know it's not worth the long term costs.
Just to be clear, my country ain't perfect. We have a problem with Fijians and Indians keeping workers with temporary visas trapped in shitty housing literally working as slaves. Everywhere has issues.
If you're renting a house the landlord can do whatever it's there house. Why are people so entitled. If you can't pay your rent you have to go LIVE OUTSIDE or get a hotel room.
Also most landlords will let you not pay/pay later apartments in America wont but will work with you.
