Canada’s international student cap is here. How will each province be impacted?

- Ottawa released its plan Wednesday on how to divide up the new cap on international students among the provinces.
The total number of student visa applications has been adjusted based on the population of each province - which means some will see a drastic decrease in international students while others will see their numbers rise.
Of the nearly 485,000 allocations, the lion’s share will go to Ontario.
Uday Rana reports on how each province will be impacted and what experts are saying about the plan.

This is hardly a cap, if you actually look at the numbers, Canada was taking in less international students in 2015 under Harper, then this current “cap” is planning for the coming years,
it will make no difference and the problem is going to keep persisting, then around the election Trudeau will talk about this as one of his “measures” he’s tried to get inflation under control, it’s just a talking point with no substance and truthfully abysmal execution

In vancouver, the train smells with body odor, and there is 5-10 turbans on any given train car. Most get off to go to one college - which has hundreds of turbans flocking to it in the morning

Canadian government has two things make big mistake on international students program. 1. Process PR and work permit for international students are huge mistake need to stop immediately

We have to many I international students. As is and the most group of students are only coming from India . And they all all go to Brampton 🤦. Even Indian people that have beeen living in Canada for years and are settled are feeling there are to to many international students . Brampton has become little India ….. the home students visa program needs to be shut down .

Ottawa is the worst for housing for students and anyone who needs an apt downtown. Sandy Hill and lowertown is full of students from Aug-May, landlords should be fined for having vacant housing from May, June & July.
