Why would you expect the mixture to lean out for driving conditions just by setting the throttle position for idling? You have a closed-loop system that uses a wide-band sensor. Check your AFR target. If you're using gas and you want to lean it out, then you don't want to see below 14 because that's rich. You could probably idle just fine at 14.5 or even a little higher. Your light cruising AFR target should be raised if you're smelling fuel when you're cruising.
The system is a closed-loop controller. It is trying to give you what you command. Your input command is the target AFR. The controller makes the mixture rich when the AFR target is below 14.7 for normal gasoline.
Or you might have a weak spark that would result in unburned fuel in the exhaust. The Oxygen sensor picks up the extra unused 02 and then adds more fuel because it thinks the mixture is lean.

Hey Brah, You have 2 idle screws, one for front and back, and also recheck the linkage for secondary's, seems they are off allot of the time, front and rear butterflys should be cracked.
