1973 Camaro, Crank No-Start With Fitech Fuel Injection

  • This Camaro is here for a no start condition and has aftermarket Fitech throttle body fuel injection. Car was sitting nearly two years and the customer inadvertently connected the main power feed to ground.

      I used them once to install some fog lights. Once. Every one of them failed. Worthless piles of junk. I even tore out the kit I bought.

    Looks like the vacuum advance hose is missing as well.

      The EFI system has electronic timing so I believe the advance mechanisms are locked out but I'm going to verify that cause he is complaining of a hesitation

    mabee it draw more current because of the high pressure
    i do know this system on after market
    but on injector in trottle body the pressure is a lot lower

      This system is supposed to run at 58psi. Yes most oem throttle body systems are a lot lower between 9 and 16psi.

    I wonder if that fuel system even has a plugged fuel filter some ware ? might be time for an up graded system for that old girl , I would of put a 650 CFM carter or Edelbrock carb on that green beast if I owned it .

      Me too. Unfortunately not many techs understand carbs these days.
