    Love the 100mm throw. But I wish the faders is a little closer to each other. And with USB-C please!

      I'm guessing there is a tiny Raspberry Pi board between faders.
      Bringing faders together would require adding height or "useless" space next to faders to fit the board.

      @@pacman_pol_pl_polska haha, you're absolutely right. We use a Raspberry Pi Pico in these for the USB interface. However, I do love a challenge, and we're working on a fully integrated board, with its own Raspberry RP2040 chip and memory module embedded directly on the board, which will let us squeeze the integrated circuit chip between the faders to bring them closer together... and fix the USB-C issues while we're at it... and a few other excellent ideas based on customer feedback :)

      @@GhostNoteAudio I managed to put together few faders with Arduino Micro and it came out as a bit of a... box with 2,5 cm spacers ;)
      I thought about putting everything on a board but for someone who doesn't have any experience it's gated by at least few hours of youtube videos :`)

      @@GhostNoteAudioI’m looking forward to the completion of this new unit with faders closer together and with other modifications. How soon will it be available?

    The only thing this is missing is a USB host jack so you can daisy chain units if desired

    "affordable" is not what I would call 3 faders for 200 euros.... There´s a gap in the market for this, anyway

      You know, you're absolutely right. Trying to market the unit based on price was never going to be a good strategy, because I'm simply not trying to compete on price. Instead, I'm trying to hit a certain level of quality and to back it up with good customer support. It's also a very niche product, and not a good fit for everyone, but for the people it's designed for, it seems to be really hitting the mark :)

    200€ for 3 faders... I mean...

    • @GhostNoteAudio
      @GhostNoteAudio  Месяц назад

      Indeed, it is on the expensive end. But for the professional who spends 8 hours a day in a studio with one hand constantly on the controller, they are willing to pay a little bit extra for something that feels just right for them. This is not a product that anyone "needs" by a long shot, but the demand has certainly shown me that it's a product that a lot of people appreciate and want, and I'm very happy that I've managed to hit that gap in the market.

    Doesn't the open sourcesness of this project allow me to create my own controller with a bit of luck and solder?

    • @valdiorn
      @valdiorn 2 месяца назад +1

      Certainly. It's a very simple unit. I think I even included the STL 3D model for the enclosure in the code repository, so if you have a 3d printer you can make your own enclosure. But you will need to make your own front panel and circuit board and source the components.
