- A historic moment: "Hammer Smashed Face" belonged to a number of Cannibal Corpse titles, that were banned to be performed in Germany for many years. In 2007 Corpsegrinder and his fellow band mates finally were allowed to bring this madness on stage - with no better place than the 18th edition of Wacken Open Air to do so!

The drums are slower than other performances.
Moscow 93 is perfect for this song. I love Corpsegrinder, but Barnes fits the higher tuned songs of old, in my opinion of course.

It picks up on the attack of his fingers. But the actual bass tone isn't audible.
The way the eq is set up is that you really only can feel it. So if you don't have proper speakers you'll only hear the attack and not the sustain. Which is the two sticks you described

sissyfist same here I was kinda thrown off because I first saw the movie and the scene on tv then watched it on vhs as a kid and it wasn’t there and I waited for the scene. It was one scene that they should have not removed because Jim Carrey is the reason Cannibal Corpse even was in the movie. He’s a big Napalm Death fan and he tried getting them but they were touring the UK. So Jim’s manager mentioned Cannibal Corpse playing in town and showed him a cd and Jim told the studio to contact them. The scene was literally improvised and you hear them play this song twice because of the cut which I’m sure annoyed the band a bit since it was filmed at one of their gigs.
