Works really really well along with the other formations in the pack. Dont use for true underdog games (ie against above divisions) but will score lots of goals (and concede) against better teams in the division and score some great wins. Test he used is perfect example.
Good video. The best formation/tactic I have used in this game is a 4-3-1-2, which plays out very similar to this. Having that extra striker is a big advantage in this match engine. The most shocking thing is that 4-3-1-2 and 5-2-1-2 defend so well. You would think good teams using a 4-2-3-1 would burn you on the wings, but it doesn't seem to happen.
@@77Guv I put the two outer CM on CM(s) with customized instructions to stay wider, mark tighter, and tackle harder. They end up being very much like a CAR(s). I give the central CM a playmaker role, usually an RPM(s). The other option is to go with a DLP(d) in the middle and use BBM(s) on the sides. I have tried using an RPM(s) on one of the sides, a CM(d) in the middle, and a BBM(s) on the other side, and that was okay. I prefer having the playmaker in the middle though, and using two conservative midfielders to chase the flanks helps cover for the aggressive wingbacks.
The thing about these tactics is that the whole season is sim'd. Now im not the most amazing FM player, Im probably one of the worst, but I've used one of Knapps tactics as AVFC and never come close to some of the results in the sims
I think you're on to something. Do you think the AI behaves differently? There's no way I could play such an aggressive tactic every game and finish 2nd.
Using a very similar tactic with Atalanta, but signed Mandragora as a Libero and playing DLP/AP in the midfield. Won Serie A in 6 of my 7 seasons so far, so highly recommend playing around with this tactic.
I did a similar experiment , using the worst team in the lowest division of Scottish Football, going through Knap's tactics 1 by 1. The best for points overall was his 4-3-3 Kashmir (an attacking 3-4-3 variant) which uses a lot of the similar principles he has put forward here. All out attack formations seem to do very very well in this version of FM , trying to play patient , possession based passing football doesnt work as well with this engine.
I was southport fc I lost 5 games in a row conceding 17 goals got reccomend this tatic I'm in varnomrna league first season I'm now unbeaten in last 8 games and fighting for 1st place works crazy good
and what is the best tactic you have seen so far?? I am still using the ryan cassidy, 4-1-2-1-2 wide diamond, phantom menace.. Do you think there is a better tactic than this so far??
You also clearly didn't check the other tests videos. That's how we do the tests, it's hard to test when your main striker gets injured for 8 months. It's down to the player who's playing the game to bring in sufficient depth. If you prefer just to moan at every video i do, i can quite happily hide you from the channel.
how do you turn of injuries and suspensions. Are you using the in game editor or the pre-game editor. I want to run holidayed saves of my own as I don't have time to play the game due to work commitments.
Couldn't locate the tactic in the downloaded pack, so decided to create my own, based on the video. Only thing I am unable to change is the directness of the wing-backs passing, any suggestions?
Change it to a clean slate tactic, do the player instructions first then do the team instructions. It worked that way for me, although when you click on the actual wingback it shows the instruction at the side but not when you go into the edit screen for some reason.
All these tactics, NONE of them work on switch. Apparently it's the same match engine but you cannot input all of the individual player instructions required for this tactic so inputting just the ones you can, this tactic disks miserably. Tried with 3 different teams l Bournemouth Newcastle and everton and all poor results

What roles would suit the midfield three best?

I don’t understand how Liverpool’s points are so low. On every early season of my saves they are 95+ points.

Hi,I wonder if knap have new version of "Sympathy of devil" tactic? because on your web site is "only" version from November 2019
You went through an entire season without a single injury or suspension to your 1st team? That's impressive...

Just a shame that the tactic you are using, is non existent in the argus pack download..

Someone should experiment with the tactics a little bit instead of always put extremely urgent pressing, counter & counter-press all the time
cant seem to find it in the pack
