I like his pants...
I used to chill with this dude in my late teen years, i'm a couple years older than him. Dude catches serious air. You'll be riding with him, and look over, and son is 10 feet in the air, no camrea, no nothing. He is def a suspect character though. He's the type of person to ask to try a trick on your bike and ride off. Or if some random parts go missing at a spot, he was usually there that day. He deserves more sponsorship, he's a real nyc rider. I wouldn't call him a king though. What he is, is an anti-hero. He's grimey, but i wouldn't call him an asshole. He's just old school NYC style, hate it or love it. There's a lot of ghetto kids out there that are on that same mentality, but blackman catches the most air and goes big. We never had a falling out but i keeps my distance. I still see him on the streets all the time. Saw him the other day with a lady friend of his.
It's cool this video was made, it should have been made a while ago to be honest. I'm surprised he showed his block, i figured he wouldn't have wanted that. All this time, never knew he was from queens, or his name was Desmond. Stay cool BLACKMAN. Keep flyin high.
Thanks for sharing the truth. And also hate it or love it, this " ghetto " mentality is getting people nowhere. It's funny how all of those people talk about getting out of somewhere, and then they never do. On top of that he says he was being harassed for BMX riding but he harasses people himself, like it or not it's called karma, but big thanks for sharing some info. Cus these NYC streets are full of those aggressors with the victim complex...

I'm not a big fan of BMX bikes or their design and the personas of some riders, but I have to respect two things:
1) This guy's and other stuntpeople's guts.
2) The fact that those bikes are built like tanks!

Mataz007 Absolutely I see you're an old dude like me. I just started ridin again when my 8 year old wanted a bike we got him a Mongoose. When I rode BMX bikes back in 77-80 Huffy was big then came Mongoose,then came Redline(my fav) and Diamond Back. I just gotta Diamond Back I got from a friend of mine who's son never rode so I'm back at it trying to master the bunny-hop again As older dudes we don't like the ass outta the jeans period but as you say let the little dude ride he's good. I notice all the seats are all the way down now days,we put our seats up. I guess 30 years later it would be different...I also noticed how small the sprockets are on these newer bikes...

I feel that you should collect a lot of BMX bikes I know that they are some very rare BMX bikes out there I see them in Florida and learn that are being junk that's the sad thing but keep up the good work and don't let nobody look through you but let them look at you... i'll be 41. but the good thing is that i never stopped doing flatland. I think my best approach ios just to have fun with it and not go to crazy and just enjoy bmx riding. the days of me pulling the toughest tricks are long gone. this come back will be for fun and i'll do a little of everything like street, flat, vert, skateparks, etc. thanks for wishing me good luck i appreciate it.
