Thom knew Merle was his father years before he died but honored his "dad" and waited until Bud Bresh died to say he was Merle's son. I cooked a great meal for them that night including a peach pie which was Merle's favorite. I called Merle Black diamond eyes. It was an honor to sing and hang out with both of these men who are geniuses! lane

Interesting...there's actually a part where Merle used more than just thumb and index. I remember reading an interview with Merle in the booklet for one of the rare performances VHS where he said he occasionally used thumb index middle and ring but very rarely
She sure is beautiful and retains her beauty at 66. She is originally from my area. She currently resides in Nashville. My mother was friends with her father and aunts in HS and the family relationship continued. Born Evanston, IL but calls Racine, WI home. Her father ran a factory in Racine which made fractional HP electric motors. I spent some time with her at a local dance club in the 1960's. She could sing then. My buddy George would accompany her on his harmonica. The last time I talked to her was when I met her and her mother at a local nursery. We all were looking for patio furniture. I sat down and talked to them on a couch. My wife finally came around and if looks could kill Lane would have been dead twice over. She couldn't get over by us fast enough..............lol.

her beauty and her voice are of the hightest quality...lane brody...you look like a goddess...but you act like an everyday lady....you seem to be the type of lady who would think it was no big deal talking or being with some everyday person like myself...if just for a min...perhaps only an hr...hopefully a day...lord help me maybe a month...i would thank charlie browns pumpkin....for a year...and all my lucky stars for a life time...i can listen to her sing...all day....
