Rode it 3 times now and every single time has been fantastic. The back seat is the best. It feels faster and more intense than it looks. Love the theming and queve line too. The Infinity Flyer seats are comfortable and might be the best in the business. GCI really should be proud of themselves!
@@Weeping-willow._.me too! It was my first like, fr roller coaster and I got put in the very front seat by myself 😭 I rode it twice and god was it fast
My favorite sections of the ride in no particular order is the spiral lift hill, banked airtime hill before the curve around the station, curve around the station, and then banked low to the ground curves that whip you around like crazy. I really wish the ride was a little longer with more titan track. It will be interesting to see how this compares to other GCI coasters.
Yeah I have our parks renegade at valleyfair. Man they should refurbish with a titan track ha. Still roaring all these years and Zambezi will do the same GCI makes fun and comfortable trains
Whoooa, this looks fun! The original Zambezi Zinger was my first roller coaster ever when I was 13. I've lived in Cincinnati my whole life but my dad's business was working with WoF on their coasters and we made a little family vacation out of it. I was always fascinated by roller coasters but too scared to get on one. I guess there was something about the ZZ that looked doable to me. It was fun! So I decided to take it up a notch and ride Timberwolf. Finally, I was able to actually enjoy these rides I'd always chickened out of. When we got back to Cinci, I was ready for Kings Island 😄 Luckily, my own kid was much braver than me. He's 15 now and we've been riding coasters since he was 5 😎
@@themcgannclan Ikr? Would also like to throw in that the last coaster WoF got 14 years ago was another GCI woody, adjacent to this one. Oh, and to CrashCoaster, you might want to look up the definition of what a tunnel is. But to save you some time, it's "an artificial UNDERGROUND passage". The original ZZ had a tunnel. This thing has an over-hyped shed.
@@slammedniss Lol who cares if it's underground or not as long as it provides the same effect, which it does. Digging out a trench for a tunnel would have made it so much more expensive for a detail so small it's not worth it.
Can’t wait to go on it the next time I come for some thrills. I was 7 years old when the original steel one was removed. I’m 32 now (going to be 33 next month) and look forward to it.
Cool! I'm 35, I rode the original only one time in its last year and loved it! Just went this week and this one was WAY rougher and faster and louder than the original though! It hurt😭 I'm pretty delicate though, so, hopefully you can enjoy it!
Ah the days of riding the original as a kid over and over until we puked. My favorite however was the Orient Exspress. That 1st hill was pitch black. Anyway I wish I could ride this one but at 52 my roller coaster days are over. But to everyone who can ride it enjoy it for me.
This thing looks awesome! I hope to ride a model like this someday. My only criticism is the mix of titan track and normal track. You'd think they'd use the Titan track on the most intense/forceful parts of the ride, to help with wear as well as a smoother ride experience. But there's only titan track on the lift, and the turn around the lift. Doesn't really make any sense to me, but I'm not an engineer.
The Titan Track is integrated into the lift design and allows for longer track spans around the lift. More structure would have been required if the lift track was wood.
I am soooooo excited to ride this ride I am coming on Sunday.but some criticism is that I was a pass holder but I did not get to ride on the Thursday because there were not enough reservations left it’s ok tho because I’m even more excited now happy 50th 🎉
Had the opportunity to ride this coaster myself. Unless you have fast pass plus, be prepared to wait in line at least 45 minutes. Other than that, this is a great ride. The spiral lift is loud, but that’s the only real downside I can think of. Lots of speed, tight turns, some good air time for what it has, the titan track is smooth and the tunnel is a great head chopper. Is it the original Zinger? No, but having ridden the original Zinger myself this is a worthy successor!
Looks like a fun ride. Kept just enough details intact from the original to where I can actually consider this a good homage and deserving of the keeping the same name, Zambezi Zinger. I guess my only complaint would be the lack of a dark tunnel at the end. Loved that. As a kid I always thought that going in would take my head off. You're flying through the tunnel, it's dark, everybody's screaming, guys grope and kiss their lady friends...good times for all! I bet this one has seatbelts and restraints unlike the original...hehe. How they got away with no safety restraints is beyond me, but then again I never heard anything about morons standing up or being thrown out of the original either. Different times 😃 Give this a few years to get some significant tree growth and this will be a great ride through the jungle.
Definitely as cool as the original. The spiral lift isn't as tall, but I'd love to ride this one. Wonder if they have the same sort of cars as the original.
When actually on it, this ride is SO ROUGH!!! OMG, so so loud and fast and painful. I'm 35, maybe too old? Seems like it ran much faster, louder, and rattles harder than the video portrays🎢🤢 I don't like intense rides, I wanna ride the Snoopy stuff but they don't let you ride without a kid😭
This ride is great but you guys need to add more coasters AND HAVE ALL YOUR RIDES RUNNING. We have season passes and everytime we come a good 30% or more is either broken down or just not running and that's complete bs!

I think you’re mostly hearing the anti-rollback mechanism with its traditional “clickety-clack” sound. The tire drives themselves don’t seem to be too loud.
This coaster is so frustrating. It added no launch, no inversion, and is the third mid sized woodie in the park.
