This is not to be nasty but you could really improve by opening out at the hip socket to improve turn out ... turn out doesn't start from the feet upwards it starts from the hip downwards.. In addition you could benefit from either getting a softer shank or breaking them in order for you to be able to get up over the box more and lastly your arms are not soft enough especially at the elbow, the lines become angular which isn't pleasing! The level of ballet technique in the US has got a long way to go but you are a lovely dancer and seem like a really nice person too ..
@@meganlchiu Don't take two corrections to heart ... the shoes are easily sorted... simply visualise that you are holding huge round ball to soften your elbows and make sure your fingers are not spiky, you are a slender girl so your anatomy makes your joints angular so you have to disguise that and make your arms soft and fluid and like they are floaty... put some gentle music on and just move them whilst looking in the mirror so you can learn muscle memory of what looks beautiful in the reflection you can later remember how that feels when not looking and then practice until it become second nature ... sit on the ground and put the soles of your feet together letting your knees flop to the floor, you should be able to touch your knees on the floor and if you can't then hold your ankles with your hands and use your elbows and lower arms to push those knees down... it is opening your hip joints out and outwardly rotating your legs right from the hip and not just turning out the feet ... I am ex Royal ballet and i am also a trained teacher as i had completed all my examinations in ballet by the time i was 14... Look at my comment about you being a lovely dancer... I wouldn't lie! just work on those two main things and change your shoes or break them in differently and you will honestly be well on your way to great things x
Love how you said “a chill day” and rattled off like 4 major things lol.
I’d love to learn more about your experience with rover!
I can definitely make a video talking about my experience with Rover! :)
