It blows my mind ppl figured that 💩 out with basically no internet. Imagine ur spawned into the year 2000 with ur memory wiped and ur sent on a mission to become an independent producer
yeah you had to figure out what all the buttons are for. but you don`t really need internet connection for making music. maybe for shortcuts it`s nice because some i havent found out yet after like 25 years
@ yea the could’ve gotten studio time and encyclopedias but a lot ppl ddidnt know about mixing and mastering in the past. Nowadays every is talking about a songs mix in the 2000s music production wasn’t so available to the gen public so even if u got the program working u would have to then learn to subtractive eq or do compression with no video guide explaining it
Been using FL studio since 2004, crazy seeing how much better it's gotten since the beginning... used to be like just a hammer and chisel. Now it's a tool box packed with everything you'd ever need!
Lmaoo broo I had no idea Fruit Loops went way back like this. I fuck so hard with the looks of the program and the feel. FL Studio has grown a lot since then
It's a long shot but if you haven't tried this already: Right click the FL 1 installer, click Properties, select Compatibility tab, check the Compatibility mode checkbox and try selecting Windows 95 or 98 and hit Apply. Good luck! FL 1 was was released in 1997 so would have been aimed at Windows 95 which was a very different animal to Windows XP.
@@damonradio Is that installer available for public download somewhere? I thought I'd found it on the Oldversion site (all the others were obvious scams) but it's actually the installation itself rather than the installer and likely requires missing registry entries to run. Running the exe displays the title image then halts. I wouldn't want to waste too much time on it but I am curious. Cool vid btw.
Man, I remember having to spend so long getting used to the UI again when they overhauled it in 12 or whatever it was. Now I’ve seen it again here, it doesn’t even look that different haha. This bought back a lot of memories of my early producing days lol. thanks!
Bro you funny af “Gushy stuff” 😭😭😭 I remember I started with FL 9 or something, my cousin who was a DJ put me on. There were barely any tutorials on RUclips too so I had to learn by myself
I started with version 3, back in 2003. It brings back great memories, but the ones that made the difference for me were 6 and 7. My favorite is 12, although I've tried the newer ones and they're cool too.
I'm 30 now and I've used 6 through 9 until shifting to Ableton Live, from where I never came back. The way I see it, both Live and FL Studio are essentialy the same as they did 20 years ago but in comparision with whatever was around; they were DECADES ahead
FL STUDIO is the reason why we have these beatz it was orinally 4 techno Drum n Base style so you could almost say DRILLS HERE cause of FRUITY LOOPS LOL
Good times. Made a few fire beats on the og FL studio back in the day. Finding VSTs was a trip though cuz the stock sounds sucked for boom bap. Moved up to Reason due to the better sound processing and stock sounds. Also there were fire expansion packs that gave muly sound another dimension.
