Great review, I am a podmic user and I have a friend who uses a SM7B, I agree the plosives on the pod mic need work but the WS1 has fixed it, and people in our discord cant tell the difference between our mics!
I think the SM7B does sound better than the Rode Podmic--but at four times the price, that should be a given. Another big difference is that while Shure recommends a preamp with 60dB of gain for the SM7B, you realistically should be shooting for 65-70 because you could be riding close to or at 100% of the gain range with no room to spare. So you'll also be needing a pricier interface (or in-line preamp solution) with the SM7B, which may be extra cost over the $300 difference.
Hey thanks for your videos and all the comparisons. i cant setup the rode podmic. it sounds like trash. i have the streamer x and the podmic in combination but i need help with the right settings. any tips?
Hi Brother, I was thinking to buy the JBL wireless microphone set, which comes with two mics. My main focus is for singing and also for speech in church. Do you recommend it and can you tell me about it. Please and thank you. I want high clarity on all bass, mids and highs..😢
As an owner of both you are spot on, i got caught up in the early sm7b hype (worth it) but for the budget, the pod mic is golden
100%

Always great mic reviews. I switched from the Bee II to the SM7B and haven’t regretted it. The Podmic would be a great mic to have in my arsenal. 👍🏼👍🏼
Great review thank you! You went over everything here

For wireless, I only recommend Shure or Sennheiser.
I cannot afford an senhiesser or shure
@@jaminsamjames7990 Then save up or look for good used copies. It is cheaper in the longer run versus settling for inferior products.
Sm7b is better but is it 4x better?
That's really what it boils down to!
Should i go for Scarlett 2i2 gen 4 or Elgato Wave to pair it with Podmic? In my country Elgato is $30 cheaper but i don't like it's build quality.
For the $$, Scarlett gives you more flexibility.
Any chance we can get an EM-99B vs podmic?
It’s on the list. Need to finish the SM7B comparisons first.
The shure sm7b is like a rolls Royce, an average car that’s overpriced , and mediocre sounds
