100x this comment. Kishi Bashi is one of the few performers that is profoundly better live than in studio since you are better able grasp the complex layering of his music as a solo act. The albums, while fantastic, fail to capture this quality and sound like they could simply be generated from a backing band instead of him producing all his own loops and stuff.
