I wouldn't underestimate how much you have changed the world by being an interpreter. You've helped people be understood by people who didn't understand them. You've given those people a voice. What could be more important than that?
Ana, If you are “average,” then there is hope for humanity. Your struggles, your honesty, your victories, your joys, reflect what being human is, and a path toward goodness. You are a deep thinker, and clearly care about communicating with us. And for that, we thank you with all our hearts.
That was such a thoughtful and well organized presentation. Thank you Ana. I really appreciate the depth and focus of your ideas and observations! I once saw a short news story of a simple man who made a living making and selling apple cider. This was a very small, one man business. His "factory" consisted of one old wooden apple press. At his little roadside stand he sold just enough cider to meet his needs. When asked why he spent all his time crushing apples he replied "I don't know, I just like it". I believe we don't need to find deep meaningful purpose to our pursuits. Some people, like your brother, find fulfillment in big demanding tasks while others seek solitude and simplicity. Each is equally important.
Sadly we have a competition based educational system. It teaches children as young as 4/5 how to compete and be better than others. Throughout your entire life you're being encouraged to compete whether individually or as a group- who will do better, who will be faster, who will be more creative and so on. This is the world we live in and it saddens me a lot.
This topic of this video is at the heart of my journey, currently. I am in my last year of my career and set to retire 01/24 to begin the portion of my life as a free spirit living out my life doing whatever I choose, and I've needed to deprogram from the conformity of working in the Capitalistic world of Corporate America. Your comments are in line with my current state of mind. Thank you, Ana.
I hope your process will go smoothly and intentionally, Samuel 🌿 It's always hard to go against the average societal norms. But it's so worth it, 100%.
The purpose of our life is to live it as individuals. We were given life by our parents, their love and nurturing gave us the skills to choose our paths. It doesn’t matter what our jobs, we all valued. We should find our own paths and not try and compare ourselves to others. Happiness is peace within ourselves, mind and body. Anxiety is guilt, failure and anger, given to us by others. ❤
I have found that trying to find yourself can discourage me ,but by being still and slowing down enables me to find joy in what I do be it art, gardening my animals or whatever I am finding interesting at the time. Your channel is so inspiring
"Purpose anxiety" is such a wonderful way to describe this state of mind. I have had so many jobs, lived in so many places, all in the name of finding some great purpose for my life. I spent so much time infusing meaning into the day to day that I almost forgot to just live and enjoy the experiences. That would be my main regret from the past. About 10 years ago, a friend told me that her grandmother used to tell everyone in her family that they should grow up to be "Average and Happy." That concept has been truly life changing for me! It has freed me to enjoy being creative in small ways, to be more present in my day-to-day life. It has relieved the pressure in my creative pursuits. It has allowed me to take the time I need to take care of myself. Maybe someday I will have art exhibits or write a book that becomes an influential bestseller. Or maybe I will just inspire my friends and family in simple ways, and take care of my garden, and cook delicious food that nourishes the people who sit at my table. Either way is fine, and I am free from the pressure. Thanks for another insight for this journey!
I believe by purpose you imply predominantly professional realization. Which is narrow, if not incomplete. This could be a reason why so many people feel they fail. Because life is both more complex, complicated and not static. It evolves, you change. Work is only one, albeit very important, part that defines us. I think any attempt to put a label, to nail our existence, to categorize it will also be incomplete and artificial
This is close to my heart. I feel the end drawing near and I am infinitely sad that I have made such a small impact on the world. I always had great intentions but somehow never manifested them. And now I occupy my time with the small bits of living that I brushed aside as busywork all my life: doing my laundry, watching YT videos, taking care of my dog. Just small things each day but I am grateful to still be here, and able to do those things. I think you are living your purpose now Ana; you are touching so many. I admire your ability to create these thought provoking videos so much. You bring out the best in people. You encourage us to be mindful and your voice and cadence is soothing and peaceful. It’s very helpful to me. I wish I had your gift. Thank you fir these thoughts. Much love to you and Brian.
Hey, I read your comment, and i just wanted you to know that you are enough, just as you are. You don't need to have done anything more than what you have done so far in life. Just existing and breathing is enough. Your deep appreciation for Ana's videos shows, and this mere act of sharing a kind and loving comment is enough. Five everyday words, yet monumental. Their simplicity is deceptive and easily dismissed. However, for those who are seeking for answers to their life, those five simple words are an explosion of understanding and freedom. Bless you Ana.
Hello Ana and thank you for another insightful video . Many years ago I came across a piece of writing entitled ‘Desiderata’ . As far as I’m aware the author is unknown and I believe it was inscribed in stone. My two favourite quotes from this are ; “Never compare yourself to others - or you will become either vane or bitter “. The second one is ; “ Many fears are born of fatigue or loneliness “ I think of these often in my own life struggles . Thank you so much for your talks. Love from England x
There is in Japanese a word that describes this idea. I forget what the word is, but its meaning in English is "how you decide to use your life." Your videos are so deep and insightful. Thank you for sharing your reflections with us. 🌼💖I think my purpose is to learn, to be open to everything this life offers me. And also to be kind. We do so much good by just being kind and compassionate.
By delivering us with your reflections you are doing great good. Thank you. I suffer from that purpose anxiety always thinking that I should be doing something else. I should be achieving something. Doing something better, greater. But deep inside I believe that is not necessary. We can just focus on existing and living.
Finding your purpose is such an interesting topic! There was a time when I too looked for my purpose, I even translated a book into German that taught how to create your spiritually inspired purpose (Brad Swift, Life on Purpose). The book is good. I can even say that I am now living the purpose I created with the help of this book but the notion of purpose is totally gone for me. Researching the topic, what most stuck out to me was that "your purpose" is not something you find like an easter-egg but you actually create it. Or as Victor Frankl said: Don't ask life for your purpose. Life is asking you! In the meantime, I simply try to do what feels congruent and creates a certain kind of deep, still joy. There is an Indian tradition that says about a purposeful life, "Follow the breadcrumbs of your bliss". I think this is a wonderful path to a fulfilled life.
Dear Ana, Ovaj video moram opet pogledati.Stvarno si odlično objasnila kako se možemo osećati jadno upoređujući se stalno s drugima, kao i sve drugo u vezi anksioznosti. Ponekad me uhvati neka tuga i razočarenje,zašto nisam nekako drugačije osmislila moj život. Pozdrav.❤

Excellent! Shout it from the rooftops! Our lives have much more than one purpose. Otherwise, I should have died 30 years ago along with my children. Or 50 years ago when my mom died. Or 40 years ago when my marriage failed. Or the countless times I was let go from my job. My life has been full of "failed" purpose. But it has also been rich beyond measure with love and laughter and friendship, and even the people I lost. Because in the end, did I ever really lose anything? Thank you, Ana, for this!
Dear Betty, you're one of the most inspiring, admirable people I've met in this community. What you've gone through and what a strong light you are ♥♥♥ Thank you!
Dear Ana. Another of your thoughtful and philosophical videos which makes me pause and reconsider my life and path. I find myself, whatever that phrase means, in my relationships with others: friends and family, in my relationship with my God and my spiritual practices, with my pastimes. Are they achievements and measurably purposeful? No. And that's where the relief lies. With love xx
Dearest Ana, thank you for another great video. This searching currently is also part of my quest. A book titled "Writing down your soul" by author Janet Conner, which I can highly recommend and I think you will enjoy it as well as find great value in this book. It's about 'how to activate and listen to the extraordinary voice within.' This book also connects with your previous video. Much love and hugs to both you and Brian 🤗🌼🤍🌼

Thank you so much! I hope you know what an huge impact you have (at least for people like me) with these kind of videos. Thanks for this wonderful message, it really resonates with me and what I‘m going through in life.
Hello Ana, I believe our purpose in this world is to worship god alone. We are in this world for that reason alone, we work for the world afterlife because the world after is for eternity. Do good and your place will be in a better place in afterlife where you will not feel sad, sick and all the negative thoughts. All you hear is good stuff and you are free… all you gonna have is happiness ❤️.
Very profound presentation. For me my purpose of life is love myself with all my hear, and follow my passions for what make me content and happy. We teach and learn by example. Life is full of possibilities and potential but we need to learn how to follow our internal guidance. We need to know ourselves more. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I always grow listening to your ideas.
Thank you Ana for another insightful video. You have offered great tips on how to find our purpose. Someone posted that our purpose can change as we go through life. I believe this is true. Thank you for helping us find our way. Your cardigan looks so warm and cozy on you. I think you will enjoy having it; it’s always nice to have something warm over your shoulders when it is cold outside. Take care dear friend! ❤
I’ve heard this quote saying basically that rivers and flowers are enough as they are, they exist just to be. To give and experience. As long as we are being part of the cure, feeling joy and giving we can feel more aligned. Thank you for this video, you have a way with words. Also I’ve never heard of anyone saying goodbye like that I love it hahaha “pacca pacca” what language is that?
Thank you for this video. It's very meaningful for me and very wise. It's very easy to get lost in today's world with so many opportunities around us and thousands of gurus, coaches, and prophets telling us how to find hapiness and success. Sometimes it can be really overwhelming, but the simple truth is that you need to look inside yourself and look for hapinness there, not outside.
Perhaps one way for us to live is to relieve ourselves of the burden of purpose. To find a way to just exist well during our lifetime, however long it turns out to be. The ideas present in religion, politics, literature and even philosophy are often not adequate to explain why we humans act the way we do although they can help to illuminate some of the complexities that we experience. Ultimately I feel the most valuable lessons you can learn are those you come to in hindsight, after some life event that you had to struggle through. A challenge you overcame, or failed at. Either way you survived mentally and physically and you can go on. I would like to thank you for creating your channel and you are a unique and sensitive creator and this video especially resonates with me. Lately I have recognized that I live what can probably be described as a small and uneventful life in a small town with my partner and our cat and dogs but that could so easily have been otherwise. Like you say , every new day is an opportunity to create a possible purpose for yourself. For myself, I like to substitute the word meaning for purpose. Perhaps there is no inherent purpose to our lives but they can be so meaningful. Experiencing life in all its melancholic beauty and sadness. The happiness that just being alive can bring. A small life can be a happy life because it is yours. Thank you again for making your videos full of valuable insights. They inspired these thoughts in me and I am grateful. I know that sharing what is true and personal can sometimes be difficult.
HI Anna, thank you for this insightful chat🙏I agree with everything you have discussed and often mull over these thoughts, questions and ideas. It is a work in progress to BE me. Hopefully one day I will get there. Have a beautiful day, take care Gale x
Thank you so much for this video, it was quite heartwarming and thoughtful. I’ve recently discovered that I identify more with being a multipotentialite so I’ve been letting my curiosity guide me. I have so many interests and passions so I don’t want to put myself in a box. I definitely resonate with purpose anxiety though, it’s a difficult thing but I think finding meaning in our day-to-day lives is way more important . Perhaps our purpose is just to be human, explore and experience our full range of emotions 💛 ✨
Multipotentialite! I am one as well! Glad to see that this is something that more people are aware of as well. Congrats for finding that out Emerald! Just giving ourselves space and time to explore our curiosities is important! Blessings Emerald!
It may sound overly dramatic, but I had to lose myself before I could reconnect with ... everything and anything, really. It was like finding a compass in your pocket that you forgot you had because it was buried underneath something else.

Such a beautiful experience and sentiment! Thank you for sharing this, Christiane 💜
Follow the breadcrumbs of your bliss. What a beautiful thought. Thank you.
Dear Ana,
Ovaj video moram opet pogledati.Stvarno si odlično objasnila kako se možemo osećati jadno upoređujući se stalno s drugima, kao i sve drugo u vezi anksioznosti.
Ponekad me uhvati neka tuga i razočarenje,zašto nisam nekako drugačije osmislila moj život. Pozdrav.❤
Bonjour chère Ana ! It was a very moving video for me, you're a very talented artist with your collages, dots drawings, crochet and knit skills but also you have a true gift to share those thoughts which are so deeply humanist... And to make a connection with the last topic of your other channel, I think it's Art too so as the listening skill for exemple is ! I send warm hugs to you 😊Bonjour chère Ana !
@@anagoldberg love you, Ana!
You and your videos are so special and inspiring☺️ thank you 🍀
You are an inspiring person to me. Thank you for your videos.
💜🤗
this is comforting and inspiring 😌 and the quotes are beautiful :)
Thank you Ana🙂🍀
Dearest Ana, thank you for another great video. This searching currently is also part of my quest. A book titled "Writing down your soul" by author Janet Conner, which I can highly recommend and I think you will enjoy it as well as find great value in this book. It's about 'how to activate and listen to the extraordinary voice within.' This book also connects with your previous video. Much love and hugs to both you and Brian 🤗🌼🤍🌼
The seeking energy in the body is suffering, therefore knowledge is the I's dream.
The absolute can not be known.
I really needed to hear this today💕
this resonates with me thank you
Thank you 💚🙏
I Love your videos, and you are very pretty with this hair ❤
Ana, I feel like I've found you at a time that I needed to hear your wisdom.... I feel like we're rebels for wanting to live our own way!
I loved your words!
Thanks so much!!🤗💖
I love your videos. Thank you.
Thank you Ana, much appreciated.
I really like the way you are. Thank you Ana
Thanks! :')
God bless you mentally, physically, spiritually, and financially in Jesus name amen.
Sending love.

Perfectly said, Maria 💜 We indeed teach and learn by example, there's nothing more powerful than that. Sending love.
Russian
Thank you for this video. It's very meaningful for me and very wise. It's very easy to get lost in today's world with so many opportunities around us and thousands of gurus, coaches, and prophets telling us how to find hapiness and success. Sometimes it can be really overwhelming, but the simple truth is that you need to look inside yourself and look for hapinness there, not outside.
I Love this video!
So true, my friend! Being a human - what a simple yet profound purpose 💙
Multipotentialite! I am one as well! Glad to see that this is something that more people are aware of as well. Congrats for finding that out Emerald! Just giving ourselves space and time to explore our curiosities is important! Blessings Emerald!
You are special Ana...you are not your work! Big hug from Italy ♥️
💙
🙏
It may sound overly dramatic, but I had to lose myself before I could reconnect with ... everything and anything, really. It was like finding a compass in your pocket that you forgot you had because it was buried underneath something else.
It's such a powerful metaphor, Kathryn... You gave me goosebumps. Thank you for sharing this♥
Dear Ana,I really like the quotes you pick up for your videos.... they often make me think more (or in another way)about some things... 😘
Wonderful content ❤ you always have such thought provoking videos which I find so interesting . You have so much knowledge thanks for sharing. Have a good week lol 😘
