That was such a thoughtful and well organized presentation. Thank you Ana. I really appreciate the depth and focus of your ideas and observations! I once saw a short news story of a simple man who made a living making and selling apple cider. This was a very small, one man business. His "factory" consisted of one old wooden apple press. At his little roadside stand he sold just enough cider to meet his needs. When asked why he spent all his time crushing apples he replied "I don't know, I just like it". I believe we don't need to find deep meaningful purpose to our pursuits. Some people, like your brother, find fulfillment in big demanding tasks while others seek solitude and simplicity. Each is equally important.

Sadly we have a competition based educational system. It teaches children as young as 4/5 how to compete and be better than others. Throughout your entire life you're being encouraged to compete whether individually or as a group- who will do better, who will be faster, who will be more creative and so on. This is the world we live in and it saddens me a lot.

The purpose of our life is to live it as individuals. We were given life by our parents, their love and nurturing gave us the skills to choose our paths. It doesn’t matter what our jobs, we all valued. We should find our own paths and not try and compare ourselves to others. Happiness is peace within ourselves, mind and body. Anxiety is guilt, failure and anger, given to us by others. ❤

"Purpose anxiety" is such a wonderful way to describe this state of mind. I have had so many jobs, lived in so many places, all in the name of finding some great purpose for my life. I spent so much time infusing meaning into the day to day that I almost forgot to just live and enjoy the experiences. That would be my main regret from the past.
About 10 years ago, a friend told me that her grandmother used to tell everyone in her family that they should grow up to be "Average and Happy." That concept has been truly life changing for me! It has freed me to enjoy being creative in small ways, to be more present in my day-to-day life. It has relieved the pressure in my creative pursuits. It has allowed me to take the time I need to take care of myself. Maybe someday I will have art exhibits or write a book that becomes an influential bestseller. Or maybe I will just inspire my friends and family in simple ways, and take care of my garden, and cook delicious food that nourishes the people who sit at my table. Either way is fine, and I am free from the pressure. Thanks for another insight for this journey!

I believe by purpose you imply predominantly professional realization. Which is narrow, if not incomplete. This could be a reason why so many people feel they fail. Because life is both more complex, complicated and not static. It evolves, you change. Work is only one, albeit very important, part that defines us.
I think any attempt to put a label, to nail our existence, to categorize it will also be incomplete and artificial

Finding your purpose is such an interesting topic! There was a time when I too looked for my purpose, I even translated a book into German that taught how to create your spiritually inspired purpose (Brad Swift, Life on Purpose). The book is good. I can even say that I am now living the purpose I created with the help of this book but the notion of purpose is totally gone for me.
Researching the topic, what most stuck out to me was that "your purpose" is not something you find like an easter-egg but you actually create it. Or as Victor Frankl said: Don't ask life for your purpose. Life is asking you!
In the meantime, I simply try to do what feels congruent and creates a certain kind of deep, still joy. There is an Indian tradition that says about a purposeful life, "Follow the breadcrumbs of your bliss". I think this is a wonderful path to a fulfilled life.

Ovaj video moram opet pogledati.Stvarno si odlično objasnila kako se možemo osećati jadno upoređujući se stalno s drugima, kao i sve drugo u vezi anksioznosti.
Ponekad me uhvati neka tuga i razočarenje,zašto nisam nekako drugačije osmislila moj život. Pozdrav.❤

Perhaps one way for us to live is to relieve ourselves of the burden of purpose. To find a way to just exist well during our lifetime, however long it turns out to be. The ideas present in religion, politics, literature and even philosophy are often not adequate to explain why we humans act the way we do although they can help to illuminate some of the complexities that we experience. Ultimately I feel the most valuable lessons you can learn are those you come to in hindsight, after some life event that you had to struggle through. A challenge you overcame, or failed at. Either way you survived mentally and physically and you can go on.
I would like to thank you for creating your channel and you are a unique and sensitive creator and this video especially resonates with me.
Lately I have recognized that I live what can probably be described as a small and uneventful life in a small town with my partner and our cat and dogs but that could so easily have been otherwise. Like you say , every new day is an opportunity to create a possible purpose for yourself. For myself, I like to substitute the word meaning for purpose. Perhaps there is no inherent purpose to our lives but they can be so meaningful. Experiencing life in all its melancholic beauty and sadness. The happiness that just being alive can bring. A small life can be a happy life because it is yours.
Thank you again for making your videos full of valuable insights. They inspired these thoughts in me and I am grateful. I know that sharing what is true and personal can sometimes be difficult.

Thank you so much for this video, it was quite heartwarming and thoughtful. I’ve recently discovered that I identify more with being a multipotentialite so I’ve been letting my curiosity guide me. I have so many interests and passions so I don’t want to put myself in a box. I definitely resonate with purpose anxiety though, it’s a difficult thing but I think finding meaning in our day-to-day lives is way more important . Perhaps our purpose is just to be human, explore and experience our full range of emotions 💛 ✨

Multipotentialite! I am one as well! Glad to see that this is something that more people are aware of as well. Congrats for finding that out Emerald! Just giving ourselves space and time to explore our curiosities is important! Blessings Emerald!

It may sound overly dramatic, but I had to lose myself before I could reconnect with ... everything and anything, really. It was like finding a compass in your pocket that you forgot you had because it was buried underneath something else.

Place your faith on Jesus. Jesus died so that you can have everlasting life. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. No one gets to the Father but by him. Trust Jesus. Repent
    Have a good day.
