That was a lot of lace stashed away. I loved the pink watercolor on the front. I have yet to try any sewing in my work, but I might be brave enough to try it now. You showed so many ways of straitening things back up.
These journals are lovely! I haven’t made a lace cover yet, I am inspired!❤ I like to use a padded envelope (paper or plastic) between the two pieces of of fabric for the cover. I like the crinkle and it adds enough body for me. Still a soft cover but not too floppy. I also like to sew my signatures into the inside cover so I don’t have to deal with covering raw edges. I love the journey of finding the process that works for each of us!
I use those amazon mailers for the guts of my journals too. I especially love the paper one for the crinkle. Everything you said - soft but a bit of body without flop (sounds like a New Year work out goal! Hahaha).
These are fabulous and gorgeous! I love them, you learn a lot and you take it with you for the next one! Thank you so much for sharing, take care and have a wonderful weekend x
I love working with lace. It’s so textile. I use cheese cloth from the Dollar General and put them on my cover. Sometimes I love your videos thank you.
Gorgeous 💜 I love the way you work--it's exactly how I work--one of the many reasons I've subscribed. Always look forward to your videos. Greetings from Canada.
These are very pretty journals! I love that you have used only neutral book page, music and other neutrals with all of the pretty lace and ephemera you have made. I would not worry about sewing straight lines. Most JJ's don't have straight lines and I think that ads to the charm.
Beautiful lace - I haven't made a lace journal either. Have you dyed your lace? also. if you bought lace online, please share. Live in Sweden & it's difficult to find - I'm in a wheelchair so I shop online, mostly. Thanx for sharing❤
I find most of mine in thrift shops. But there are online store like Etsy that sell bundles. I have coffee dyed some and others are just off white. I am lucky to have thrift shops and garage sales here to build my stash. 😊
I think they're beautiful!! ❤️ I knew I saw a video or two about ways to keep your project straight moving into your sewing machine. They also sell a magnetic tool for sewing straight lines. This technique will work in some instances and I'm not sure if she has other tricks. ruclips.net/user/shortsdRFLsLWiaes?si=4y5ph0y23f5lx0cY
What a great pair of journals! What you lack in sewing straight you make up for with your watercolor brush and illustration pens! Bravo!!!
Thank you! I appreciate that! 😊
Love the laces they add a certain touch of elegance and I love your pages in your journals very inspiring for me.
Thank you so much 😊

Hi Michele 😊 love this journal, just beautiful 😍
Thanks so much! 😊
Beautiful journals!
Thank you so much!
I absolutely love the finished look and the touches of pink. I know you prefer more neutral colors but this turned out so pretty.
Thank you so much! It was fun to try something different. I am craving colour 😊
