I think Riot was stupid af to structure competitive league into regions and run it like sports leagues.
What they should have done is to have a tour like Tennis, where there are major and minor tournaments across the world and teams travel around the world to compete in tournaments based on their eligibility and compete for points and prize money.
That way not only is there naturally a global ranking / seeding system. It also eliminates region diff.

they have to give sth with three bans...Jax and Ahri are must bans vs BLG and Aurora is also a must ban (if they play any other asian team Yone is also a must ban) Skarner is just the tier below, you have to trade off sadly...I think they would have banned Skarner over Aurora, if Yone would have been let open by BLG

Watching Ezreal just free hit them is so triggering. They literally could just ryze e+w him and then rum him down with kalista while they have taric ulti, he was actually kinda isolated aswell in the fight that they paused for.
He has cleanse. It is hard for their comp to lock down ezreal but game should be winnable but they threw at baron so it is their fault. Had the chance to win but blew it with bad macro.
@@oreoyo5639 You should rewatch the fight, Yike was on the wrong side of the fight and E'd the Skarner and Sylas instead of going on Ezreal, Mikyx missed the Kalista ulti on Ezreal because no one used CC on him, Caps didn't walk up and hit Elk when Bin had flamethrower on cooldown and Hans Sama just played too safe and split has damage poorly.

Game 1 draft was horrible. Game 3 just attend to bot and top waves after the dragon, instead of hitting the baron...god damn it man. This was so winnable for G2, they had a legit shot.
We got robbed of a Bo5, this could have been semi-finals material instead it's just a bo3.
Also damn, i know it's not an excuse but European teams were cursed this year with the draft.
Mad literally got PSG into GAM, they couldn’t ask for a luckier draw, they drew 2 playin teams out of 2 that it was an option for. Fnc faced damwon which didn’t make it out, and wbg, and drew GAM, which they won, but like, none of those are some matchups that you should be f’d over by. Eu just played badly outside of g2.

Our 2nd and 3rd seed got 1000 times easier draws than our 1st seed, but they still couldn't manage to show up. Disgraceful.

Jatt confirmed post-game that jankos was right at 1:00:13 , rend went off on sylas, but did not kill him and thus was on cooldown. he is in the right to pause, but there was no bug.
The real question is why the pause went on for that long. It shouldve been a few minutes at best to spot that, instead it completely ruined the viewer experience in what was a very tense moment.
All i can say is , if Yike somehow hit his W by some miracle when ezreal arcaneshift , i believe G2 wins that teamfight. Although im not sure if they would still win the game.

Good eye on jankos. The spears didn't proc on rumble but they did on sylas and he didn't die from them so he couldn't rend again. Crazy good hourglasses by rumble and sylas and a bit of luck I guess. Hard tomatoes mid teamfight though so not Hans' fault at all. If elk hit 4 more mystic shots in th firat half of that team fight he really would have 1 v 5ed ace them.
tbf...I also contemplated on writing some "nice" words to Dom if he had baited on Twitter (not something like the last comment, but sth different)...but he didnt and in the end it wasnt TLs or FLYs fault for making it out of Swiss "over" G2...G2 missplayed in a few but very crucial situations and sadly pivoted to "late" in draft...AND in the end you have to critize the format bc of the poor seeding, not the format in general...I still feel like this roster has potential to grow and learn, but sadly not in Europe...my huge copium take would be, that they just buy Bro or NS slot and move east...but this will sadly only be a dream

Group stage you get ONE draw at the start and if it's bad and you got into a "group of death" then you are just fucked. In Swiss you get constant redraws after each round of matches based on your score line so if you are 1-1 you can only play other 1-1 teams whereas in Group stage format if you get a bad group with 2 of the top teams you are just playing for experience and there's no hope for you to get out.

If one thing the west can agree on its that top laners need to stop solo losing games, first it was bwipo getting caught against hle in game 3 and now its bb decided to tp behind 5 people and throw the game for litearlly zero reason.
what? BB was literally solo-carrying and that TP was a last-minute ditch effort after they already threw the game during the fight where they paused and in the baron right after that the editor skipped.
The game was pretty much lost by that point. BLG have baron buff, two inhibitors, theyre about to back off, get soul and buy a bunch of items with their gold. G2 are getting slowly outscaled, they have 0 way to get on top of Elk, they have no map control. If G2 don't make a play theyre just going to get choked out till they lose.
One thing I dislike about Dom this worlds is him refusing to admit that he glazed FPX as the second coming of Christ back when they bombed out of groups against C9.

There is no way that this g2 is better then 2019 g2 statistics do not prove a single thing and the reasons are very obvious. First do not ever disrespect jankos in that way yike is absolute trash compared to jankos especially in 2019 once you remove brand he sucks at everything else and it’s not even close. I do like broken blade but wunder has always been a better top laner. Then the largest factor by a large margin was perkz was easily in contention for being the best adc player in 2019. Not just from EU btw he was the best in the world all regions combined Hans ain’t never been close to being a top 10 adc in the world. And caps was much much much better in that time this is when he could stomp even Korean and LPL players in lane he just got mind controlled in the world finals into believing he had to match doinbs style of mid play. Not only that but g2 was much better domestically in 2019 they won msi for gods sake something no western team ever has come close to (it’s just not remembered that way because they happened to play liquid who they put in a body bag that series and won the fastest international finals ever against btw) this 2024 team can’t even make top 8 at any tournament they have attended this year internationally. Then the last thing I’ll mention is the win loss ratios are a fake metric because sure by game score they might of lost more games into lck/lpl teams though is that even true because the 0-3 in the end will skew that stat but let’s act like that isn’t what we are looking at. They won every series into those eastern teams that year except 1 and this g2 failed to make it out of Swiss yet in the following year 2020 g2 with that same roster they make semis of another worlds event and rolled gen G into a blunt in quarterfinals it is disrespectful to that teams legacy to ever compare this current G2 team to that 2019 roster because even in 2020 when they started falling off they were still a billion times better then this 2024 team. And if we could somehow clone people and have that 2019 team at its peak play this 2024 team at its peak the game score would be 1000-0 to the 2019 roster and I don’t even think this 2024 one could win a single game off them. Remember 2019 was the year when they rose up to destroy the eastern teams. Beating DAMWON_Gaming in quarterfinals 3-1 then beating skt in semis 3-1 so they were 6-2 against the east in the bracket that year and were 5-1 in groups all that teams losses came from the finals alone they were 11-3 prior and finish 11-6 they finished 2-3 this year and 1 of those wins is pain gaming the other was weibo and they lost to all the other eastern teams I hate when people make such horrible arguments on the desk because uninformed fans will really believe that this 2024 team had a equal chance of advancing as their 2019 team did. G2 played as well as could be expected, competed very respectably with the top asian teams yet they get shafted for a team that only beat wildcards and their own region to get out of swiss.
They beat the 4th seed LPL in a bo1 and got 2-0d by the 4th seed LCK. There was no competition with the top asian teams.

You are ignoring that 6/8 teams that won in round 1 also qualified for playoffs, including Flyquest. The only teams that lost in round 1 then qualified were WBG and T1, and neither one of those teams faced "shitters" to qualify.
